You kids make my day. Tia cried and l also had tears. War. What a waste! Suffering doesn't stop, the day they end. But then to go on and show that living continues put a smile back on my face. Love your videos and affection for life. Stay safe.
I love that you travel to places all over the world that most of us will never travel to. Your editing style really makes us feel like we are coming along with you on your journey!!!
Ooh ooh....we haven't seen a Tia for scale in a minute! That was a nice surprise 😂 Your reaction to the museum mirrors my reaction to the war remnants museum in Ho Chi Minh. When you see that level of human suffering, it's impossible not to be moved by it. But when you realise your own country had a hand in it, it makes it hit home even more. ❤
That Ho chi Minh museum still sticks in my mind. ... My dad took me in 1996 ..not another Aussie or western tourist that I saw ...I was 15 and so glad my dad took me so far out of my comfort zone to see the word that way .. The only way we learn from history is to know it well.
As if we needed more proof that Tia is one of THE most kind, sweet and lovely people walking the Earth... well, this one knocked it out of the park! And yes, Mr. Cheveyo is pretty fantastic as well! 😄❤
Recently, 2 Aussie teens were among others who were unwitting victims of methanol poisoning that sadly took their lives. You guys are well experienced and know what you are doing, but PLEASE take extra care in Laos!!!
@@aidanmargarson8910yeah I was in Thailand and they have homemade rice whiskey I think it has that in it too if it's not made correctly you can kill you but I took it from strangers while I was in Thailand during the celebration at the temples people were just handing it to me and I took a chance and drank it but yeah that can even happen in the United States where I live there's people that make their own moonshine if it's not made correctly you'll die
Please only buy drinks that are sealed......just this one trip * be more cautious than you think you are usually... Enjoy the heady misty fog of the jungle delta .... Take care you two... Only order drinks you have to open yourself. ..
Continued respect for the way you both face, and convey to us, the ugly history of the places you visit. While we all enjoy the joy and wonder seen in your travels, your dedication to not ignore the terrible things as a full picture of the world we all live in is so admirable and important. ❤
glad you guys are feeling better and enjoying life on the road! I agree it's emotionally tough to confront historical brutalities but very important that we do. safe travels!
I think you may have just put a new country on our list of places to visit. We've seen most of Asia but hadn't really thought about Laos. I wonder how many people from the US understand what happen there and its ongoing legacy of tragedy. An important story well told thanks guys.
God you both create magic with your camera and editing. Such good story telling without needing to say much. I love your videos, the best travel youtube creators and better than any commercial created travel tv shows I have ever watched. Bravo!
I was in Laos exactly two years ago, and have been looking at all my memories. I also spent time at that carnival during an amazing sunset over the Mekong. One of my favorite countries...such a chill vibe. Enjoy!
Lao is really fantastic. First time I went there was 2001 and the road to the monument was a dirt road. It has been growing like crazy. First couple times I rode a motorcycle to the north. Now they have an amazing high speed train. There are so many things to see and do there, From Van Vieng, a crazy backpacker party and adventure town, to the serine Luang Prabang it has so much to offer for both tourists and adventure travelers alike. Slow travel it and you will come across some of the most under rated experiences in SE Asia. PS beer Lao rocks. Stick to beer though because of some concerns about other alcoholic drinks.
Vientiane is such a different pearl in SE Asia. If you compare to Bangkok for example. Have in mind that’s the capital of Laos. The vibe is totally relaxed, nearly no cars ore motorcycles on the streets, it’s a unbelievable experience. If you stay there , make a visit at Carol Cassidy’s shop, Lao Textiles, you won’t regret. A lot of thanks to the Wanderer for showing us this remarkable City. 👍👍👍👏🇨🇭
Hi guys I'm glad that you guys are okay and doing the videos again . I love you, Thank you for bringing all those Beautiful videos, Well take care and have A ❤ excellent holidays. 🎉 beautiful place well I hope you guys have a good Christmas in a year take care bye bye from Oregon.
Just dont drink any alcohol there...We had two young Aussies die from methanol poisoning from alcohol there recently, and others were also poisoned...Do take care...dont touch any alcohol...least of all spirits....
glad to see you guys back - did you go to Thailand for their health system ? any idea where you picked up the parasite ? wish I could have seen more of my favorite country - you must take us back to Thailand again some day . thanks for the video and the best of luck
Firstly, arghhhh my OCD went off the charts with the street wiring.. WHY LAOS? Secondly, in Australia you can only go in one direction with bumper cars (dodge-’em cars), going rogue in any direction is not allowed due to safety standards so not as fun as the days when i was a kid. Thirdly, no explanation as to where the stairs were going, again OCD arghhhh😂
Those stairs were captivating. So many questions! Why were they there? Where were they going? Were they supporting all the wires attached to them, or was it the other way around?

Yes ive heard about this, good reminder. Please be careful @One Pack Wanderers
as a 16 year old I raced speedway and methanol is fuel .. not something you drink

@@aidanmargarson8910 it was a by product of the way the alcohol was made there...
I think they were drinking some cheap local alcohol. If you stick with a branded one, you should be fine

I love how genuine you guys are. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and for being such kind humans.
Love the contrast from tears of remorse.....to pure joy. At least we now know why Tia gets so many speeding tickets !
Miss you guys posting content… glad to see your videos

Glad your feeling better for travel
Great to see you both in Laos, many travellers don't make it there. Enjoy as there are many wonderful sights, from mature young aussie traveller.
Everyone is so quiet, it's like the Lao people are suffering a collective PTSD 😭
So glad are back from Kay in Sydney 🥰🥰🥰
Hey guys! Welcome to Laos, my home for the last 20 years. Have a wonderful stay, I'll be watching you! 👀
Bumper car appreciation + algorithm comment ❤
lovely.. back in asia travelling. ❤
Enjoy your time in Laos - history is always a reminder. 💔 What medal did the lady win at the Olympics 6:56?
Thank you, thank you, thank you for another Tia for Scale. When you don’t include one, I feel incomplete, unfulfilled, at loose ends. 😁
8:15 made me so happy. It’s been too long 😂
Keep heading North!! Enjoy Laos!
AWESOME LEGENDS 😁
Haha, love the bumper car sequence. Did it with my nephew in Scarborough. Great fun
I found this channel 2 years ago looking for backpack reviews, stayed for the vibes 😊
Are you guys back to one bagging it again?

Thanks so much for sharing this video, it is really awesome. Take care.
I literally thought you were in front of the arc from the thumbnail but the detail from the bigger screen makes it obviously different.

Tia's callus for scale 😅😅
We enjoyed travelling in Laos, our favourite place was Luang Prabang where we would sit and watch the boats on the Mekong.
Welcome backkkkkkkk! 🎉🍻
Just dont drink any alcohol there...We had two young Aussies die from methanol poisoning from alcohol there recently, and others were also poisoned...Do take care...dont touch any alcohol...least of all spirits....
Always good to learn more about your country from a foreign perspective. 😅
Too true.
The best 🫰
011:00....I would have gone with the beer 😂
First❤❤❤ Finally a notification 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just be careful with alcoholic drinks. Buy bottled or canned only in Laos.

at 12.45 you cant detach .. "as Americans" you carry that shame, you yourselves are not responsible but you have to say
Honest is not my favorite place. My least favorite. So much bad stuff happened there.
