Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
45 gr for the hi s distance? Not even a bend in the rod for that casting weight. No compression of the rod with that weight. Xl method of 60 gr at lowest for that rod. There are many anglers that glue extra lead on for extreme distance and casting. That is not a fair comparison. Better tested the hi s special 13 ft in 2 pieces in this case.
Omg 😲. So many custom rod builders here in B.C Canada 🇨🇦 , & way cheaper. As that is where I get. All of my trout, salmon, Steelhead from. As I buy local to support them + all repairs are FREE 😊.
I completely disagree. It put a loaded 45g Hybrid 107m with ease. Most rods I’ve tested you need at least 60g to achieve that. I believe that is one of the biggest benefits of the rod - the fact that you don’t need as big a feeder to achieve a big distance. We did also try heavier loadings on it which sadly, we weren’t able to show in the video, but were talked about in the more detailed review in the magazine. This did result in greater distance, but only by an extra few meters. I feel that to significantly increase distance and make the most of heavier 60g plus feeders, the 14ft is needed, which is unfortunately a rod I’ve not tried yet.
@@andreim841 you are confusing a medium action carp rod casting characteristic with the super fast action of a quiver tip rod. I have a 390 Hi S power distance, and it uses as much of the rod as it needs to great effect.

Just wondering why all the long distance feeder people love to be in the water, what’s wrong with on the bank? Thanks!
Why are you holding the rods at 50º when casting? Holding it at 30º will allow the line to peel off with less resistance and your rig to go further.

Bet they glass rods not top end carbon and titanium guides
You will never be able to properly compress the Hi-S distance with a 45 grams method...
