I'm going through the same..nobody knows that being an actress & a singer is my biggest dream. I'm about to start college & I have chosen the nurse career but i don't want to be it, I just chose it cause it's one of the highest paying job & just in case I don't have good luck in acting career. I might do acting after nurse career but i don't know if it will be worth taking the nurse career. I'm so confused. I want to be stable & be able to afford a good life to my future kids. I once told my counselor that I wanted to be a singer &actress, all she said was "well you have to reach out on social media & become noticible, so that a company will notice you" I told her I'm a shy person, she was like " you will have to find something else you are interested in" I feel like I had no hope & I feel like nobody believes in me. So that's why I chose nurse . I don't know I don't what to do😔😔 Someone has advice??
I feel like I'm in the same position as you. I'm currently in college but am studying psychology just to appease my family and obtain a degree in order to financially support myself, but in reality nothing has really interested me besides the thought of being able to become an actor. Maybe you can try and see if you can take some acting classes outside of your college? You don't necessarily have to have a college degree in acting to become an actress. That way you can still work towards your nursing degree but at the same time develop your acting skills? - That's what I'm planning on doing, though the corona halted my plans.
Ask yourself “when I’m 90, will I look back on life and have any regrets?” If the answer is yes, then do it. This has recently been my way of thinking and... really, it’s true. Life is so short. You have to do things you want, or else you’ll be old one day and won’t have any stories or amazing tales to tell. I’m 20 and I already feel so late to start the acting path, but I want to try. I already have a AA in graphic design, because I’ve always been talented at drawing. And since FOREVER, I’ve always felt like I HAD to be a designer because of it. But the joy I get when I think about acting does not compare to when I’m designing. I’ll have it to fall back on, but I’m ready to say screw my anxiety. I’m ready to take a class, save up money for a trip to NYC, and LIVE. I say this, yet while watching this video, my stomach was flipping with nervousness. But the only way out IS THROUGH. Whenever I have to present in a basic class, I’m nervous and shaky as hell, but 10 minutes in, it feels more easy. I think taking acting classes will be like that. Every day you go it’ll get easier. People won’t judge. My advice is to continue with a stable job but do acting with it. As a hobby or a few classes and if/when you become more comfortable, let that dream take the wheel.
As much as I want to push myself and try new things, this seems like the worst thing I could possibly do. My heart is spiking from just watching, let alone actually doing that. The hardest step will definitely be the first one.
Theres no such thing as acting class, at least if you wanna do it properly, where I study, its more like a normal degree with classes like singing, dancing, athletics, fencing, one on one classes where its about your voice and way of speaking and pronunciations and stuff, and of course group classes like what they are doing, but also collaborations and actual performances in collaboration with guests or our directing students. Tho Im pretty sure its different in the states since they dont have as many actual Universities dedicated to acting or the performing arts. I study in Salzburg, Austria.
i used to have really bad anxiety. like.. really bad to the point i would have tics in public. i did therapy exposure. i didn’t want to but i knew it had to be done. i applied to exposure type jobs. i worked at starbucks for a year and that REALLY helped me. i dealt with a bunch of karen’s and to work under pressure. then i worked as a server at a restaurant, even better help. now i can confidently be myself and talk to people without being scared. you don’t need medicine if you’re worried about taking it. it’s easier said than done but once you realize people don’t give a shit, then you’re free fr fr. my anxiety is still there, but it’s no longer social!!!
I have social anxiety and epilepsy and I want to be an actress. I went to theatre school and I was scared. But then, it was surprisingly fun to do things like this. All my life I wanted to find weird people like me, and I’ve finally found them, thanks to theatre
To all the people talking about social anxiety- it's important to get out of your comfort zone, or you'll never come further and improve yourself. You're just holding onto dead wood. What if you gathered the courage to try it? Maybe you'd have the most fun you've had in the past year. But you won't know if you don't try it.
Hey! I’m a person with social anxiety and I want to start taking acting classes, any tips on ways to not freak out 😂? Or how the experience may be? So I don’t have to worry much ahaha
i mean i don’t have anxiety but i would just think everyone is doing it and nobody will laugh at u because they’re probably all feeling the same as you and they’re all doing it with u. but if you dream to be an actor it’ll be worth it:)
I have social anxiety but when I’m acting it like goes away cause I’m I have no problem doing this in front of people I do it all the time but I’m literally scared to talk to people at school😂
I was watching this 2 years ago when I was 14 in freshman year and now I’m 16 in Junior year and maybe after high school I might have to take acting classes
I wanted to act since I was a kid but that was early 2000s and a bunch of kid celebrities were "going crazy" and my parents could only see the headlines of some teen actor getting caught up with drugs so they forbid it. Late twenties and I'm in architecture but more than ever I want to give acting a shot
I want to do acting classes rather than just a school play bc no one put effort into a school play whereas in actual acting classes everyone puts effort
It's funny cause I'm in middle school rn and the two things I want to choose between when I get a job or whatever is I want to be an actor... or an FBI agent😅
if you have social anxiety or anxiety like I know it’s hard but you got to figure that shit out and just suck it up if you want to be an actor and your too afraid to do than you won’t be able to do it. Suck it up and PERFORM

Lol lol lol. Acting is not about a bunch of "cold exercises. If you have the gift, you got it. Lol... when you're acting out a scene what are you going to do remember everything you ever learned in acting class???? acting classes are good for one thing, they tune you up to things that you might not have thought about that you can implement in a scene. If you have the gift acting is so easy...just relax, and understand the scene you are acting out. Have about 15-30min prep time doing a scene or sequence then you will be good to go.
I wanna be a actor so bad I wanna do it when I'm 14 so I have time to learn better I've wanted to do this since I was 5 I'm 12 and turning 13 in February but I find it hard to talk about it to people because of my social anxiety I told my friend I have it but I feel like they don't understand and thinks I'm just shy, but imma try and tell my mom it's just been hard because we have alot going on since we got kicked out of our house and my dad died I wanna make him proud.
Loved it ❤️ had fun watching this.

acting school's students are gonna end up to be a cameo
Damn, the wind was making love with my ears. Literally.
Is this really how acting class is
ll Native yeah sometimes
practically, except I'm pretty sure it's different if you have private lessons
It gets worse
Theres no such thing as acting class, at least if you wanna do it properly, where I study, its more like a normal degree with classes like singing, dancing, athletics, fencing, one on one classes where its about your voice and way of speaking and pronunciations and stuff, and of course group classes like what they are doing, but also collaborations and actual performances in collaboration with guests or our directing students. Tho Im pretty sure its different in the states since they dont have as many actual Universities dedicated to acting or the performing arts. I study in Salzburg, Austria.
@@MrDukeSilverr is there a good film indusyry in austria man?
i used to have really bad anxiety. like.. really bad to the point i would have tics in public. i did therapy exposure. i didn’t want to but i knew it had to be done. i applied to exposure type jobs. i worked at starbucks for a year and that REALLY helped me. i dealt with a bunch of karen’s and to work under pressure. then i worked as a server at a restaurant, even better help. now i can confidently be myself and talk to people without being scared. you don’t need medicine if you’re worried about taking it. it’s easier said than done but once you realize people don’t give a shit, then you’re free fr fr. my anxiety is still there, but it’s no longer social!!!
I can act like I don't have social anxiety, but then I will get all embarrassed and people will know that I do.
ur 1000th subscriber :D
I have social anxiety and epilepsy and I want to be an actress.
I went to theatre school and I was scared. But then, it was surprisingly fun to do things like this.
All my life I wanted to find weird people like me, and I’ve finally found them, thanks to theatre
To all the people talking about social anxiety- it's important to get out of your comfort zone, or you'll never come further and improve yourself. You're just holding onto dead wood. What if you gathered the courage to try it? Maybe you'd have the most fun you've had in the past year. But you won't know if you don't try it.
"Very nice" chase your dreams man!
How do I get rid of my anxiety?!??? That's literally what's holding me back
me: this looks like fun
my anxiety: am i a joke to you
i’ve always wanted to be an actor but my social anxiety is really bad so i change my minddd

music track is Loud!!!!!
This is way funnier than I expected 😭😂
It was better in person lol Make sure to follow me on Instagram instagram.com/tha_conscience?
I have social anxiety but when I’m acting it like goes away cause I’m I have no problem doing this in front of people I do it all the time but I’m literally scared to talk to people at school😂

How did it go?
i want to do acting but i have social anxiety looking at this just makes me nervous
Thank you for the update!..Very nice.
i want to be an actor and i looked up acting class - WHEN YOU SAID A TOWN RIGHT NEAR WHERE I LIVE I WAS SO HAPPY
I was watching this 2 years ago when I was 14 in freshman year and now I’m 16 in Junior year and maybe after high school I might have to take acting classes
There was like a circle in the middle I was doing good acting but my legs we’re shaking
If I was there I’ve be the girl in the black hoodie....just thinking..oh no it’s coming closer to me.

Anxiety says no but really this type of exposure can break anxiety off of you.

I did take part in a drama back in high school, only once.
hey,i know its hard for you,but believe me once u get in u will be comfortable with it
Are every acting classes like this 🙂
Social media is why people have bad anxiety so use to hiding behind an "image" that they can't appreciate who they already are.....
Well my social anxiety just messed up everything
It's funny cause I'm in middle school rn and the two things I want to choose between when I get a job or whatever is I want to be an actor... or an FBI agent😅
this seems so fun
It was extremely fun lol Make sure to follow me on Instagram instagram.com/tha_conscience?
Me: "I wanna be an actress"
My social anxiety: **laughs** oh wait you serious-
if you have social anxiety or anxiety like I know it’s hard but you got to figure that shit out and just suck it up if you want to be an actor and your too afraid to do than you won’t be able to do it. Suck it up and PERFORM
I suffer from anxiety and honestly I learned how to deal with.. I only get anxiety if there a specific person in the room that might not share the same positive energy that I do. Make sure to follow me on Instagram instagram.com/tha_conscience?
Never took a class and got several acting gigs in a row on first tries lol. Been doing it for a living for three years now
well i go to acting lessons too but it's a looot different for me. we do it in a theater and my teacher is a full time actress. i've known the people there for 5 years and i've met some of my best friends there!
Evryone is so awkward so I won’t mind cuz I’m awkward to
I feel you in that one .. I was awakrd doing this myself . Looking back at this video is funny to me lol Make sure to follow me on Instagram instagram.com/tha_conscience?
As a person who has shyness, I wanted to do drama club, well I did in 6th and 8th grade. Screw it, I’m doing drama club in my sophomore year.
Same, I switched one of my classes for competitive drama, I’m kinda exited
This is a cool teacher
I love talking to people and I wanna do acting so bad a lot of people tell me to do it but I’m been holding myself back
Lol lol lol.
This is similar to my new TV Show!
This looks fun 😄
I wanna be a actor so bad I wanna do it when I'm 14 so I have time to learn better I've wanted to do this since I was 5 I'm 12 and turning 13 in February but I find it hard to talk about it to people because of my social anxiety I told my friend I have it but I feel like they don't understand and thinks I'm just shy, but imma try and tell my mom it's just been hard because we have alot going on since we got kicked out of our house and my dad died I wanna make him proud. Thank you for reading all this so many people have been talking about there s.a.d and it makes me happy that I'm not alone ty all
I am shy to tell my mom too. I am almost 15 and I feel like if I will wait more, I will lose so much time
