A WICKHAM TROLLEY RIDE ON THE SOMERSET & DORSET RAILWAY AT MIDSOMER NORTON ON WED 28TH AUGUST 2024

For the princely sum of £5 I booked a ride on a Wickham Trolley up and down the line from Midsomer Norton on Wednesday 28th August 2024. Having travelled from Templecombe in pouring rain as we reached the S&D Station it stopped and the sun peeped out of a grey sky. I must say it was really worth doing and thanks to the staff on the S&DR for making it possible.

Hi John, it's just over a mile but they have plans to reach and go through Chilcompton Tunnel, a way in the future, I think.It was great fun and well the £5 note that the journey cost. You certainly can't get much closer to the track, lucky that the weather changed before my trip. Cheers Pete
