Wishing you, Carly, and your baby a good future, Good work on the Diesel heater.. Heres one for the dog. Ok a break from the football . . So I'm at Pets at Home buying a bag of dog food for my dog. While in the check-out line, a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog food, RIGHT??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Dog Food Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with handfuls of dry food and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a spaniel's backside and a lorry hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Now that you've read this I have to confess, I copied it. Now make someone else laugh 😉 😂😂😂
I had a Webasto diesel air heater in my sleeper compartment on my Kenworth. Worked so good even well below freezing that never needed to run on high. Then it quit. Carboned up. After cleaning it the tech told me to run it on high for a while each day I was using to get a better burn. So no longer just used it to keep the sleeper warm but opened the curtain and cracked a window and ran it on full and heated the whole truck even North of the Arctic Circle . Prayers for your son and Carly and you and Hank too.
Good job Dom - One thought. Heaters from the main brands do like to be run hard from time to time for a while to help them stay clean - the same idea as a diesel engine running hard v idling. Might be worth trying it in future to extend service interval
Glad to see you back and that mum and baby are doing ok. I too was premature and born at 7 months of age, like the runt of the litter as my brother used to say. I became the strongest in the family due to having to fight to survive from day one and I’m sure your little man will do the same. Nice to see Cadoha coming along, look forward to future episodes and hope Hank is ok too. Best wishes from Carmarthenshire.
Mate you won’t remember this but we bumped into you on Mylor beach when you were dog walking… I think I introduced you to my now 10 year old twins… so, they were born a couple of months early with a low birth weight but are now strapping tall and well… parenthood is hardwork and stressful… I sometimes wonder if I have PTSD from their early birth but I’m so proud to be called Daddy. They grow up so quick so do enjoy your time together!
Hope Carly and baby "Dom" are doing great and Hanks nose isn't too out of joint. ❤ Where you gonna put the baby when you go sailing? Have to build a small Cadoha to put him in 😉
First comment? Let's hope. I like remembering the original install years ago and then a troubleshooting session with a success story! Thanks for the valuable info, Dom, if ever I purchase that model!
Internal fan broke on mine and by the time I’d fixed it ( time /parts ) decided to buy a spare as (a) cheap (b)contains a full list of all possible spares and (c) if the heater fails it’s a 30 minute job to swap in the new one before my good lady has time to check the bus timetable home 😂 PS Feel for you and Carrie as you must feel conflicted through pressure to put out content on UA-cam (as its your bread and butter) but you have so much more important things to think of ... I would keep anything short and your supporters will continue to watch / subscribe etc through challenging times
Great to see you hope her indoors is doing alright as well as the wee man. Just need to remember every year service the diesel heater. A lot of people would just chuck it and get a new one. See you soon.
Wishing all three of you the very best fortune in the months ahead, I can only begin to imagine the worries and concerns you have over your little man (no matter how positively you are tackling this). On the diesel heater - good catch. Always a good idea to clean and service the heater in the summer months.😉 The external sooty deposits should be viewed with concern as that is synonymous with carbon monoxide - have you got a functioning detector nearby? Best wishes.😀👍⛵️
Awesome channel showing the best of British South Coast cruising, definitely worth a thumbs up and subscribe, best wishes to all. Would love to see you in the Bailiwick of Guernsey at some point fingers crossed.
Cracking job there! Those heaters remind me of the bigger versions installed in some military vehicles (not naming names), they take a while to heat up but the entire cab feels like heaven when fully operational, so I can understand why you would refer to it as a 'her'. 😏 I don't own a vessel yet, but I enjoy watching your videos as it feeds my fantasy of potentially owning one one day. I hope you are all doing well, keep safe.
Love it! In a past boat I had an Espar heater. Loved it, but when it quit I needed to be a dealer to get the parts! I could have fixed it! Poor thing never worked again...
One job at a time, my philosophy entirely. Doesn't matter what you are doing, as long as you are doing something. Only problem for some reason that list on the fridge door never seems to get any shorter 🙂
Best wishes to Carly and your little man, hope both are doing well? Also, look after yourself Dom as you’ll be dealing with a lot of anxiety when your loved ones are recovering from such a traumatic experience. Don’t forget about your health. 👍🏻🙏⛵️
Great watch as ususal! I finally bought a boat a few months ago after watching sailing videos since lockdown! I've only just got enough charge in the battery after adding solar to find out the diesel heater in the boat (that I couldn't test before buying) is working! Good to see they are easy to maintain (although getting to mine might need a contortionist!)
Good man, I put same one in 4 yrs ago for £89 after my £1200 mikuni burned out after 10 yrs mmmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔. Great deal. Good luck with the familam stuff, it’ll work out, my goddaughter had same, now she’s in uni playing rugby👍👍👍👍
Good to see work resuming. It's well worth making the repairs, doing the maintenance, and certainly the upgrades too. I can't remember if you have a washing machine and dryer on board, probably requires some battery/solar/charging, etc. upgrades, but so important for the things that need to be washed and dried in any conditions. Hope Carly and son are doing well. I'm sure Hank will soon be over all the upheaval and be ready for the baby's testing and tugging.
Ho Dom, Thanks for the update, best wishes for everyone. Just one thing you could have do e to the heater, there is a mesh screen around the glow plug that will be probably plugged with carbon, this also stops the heater from igniting. Easy to replace with the glow plug removed...there are plenty of videos you can watch to get the best method of removing. Keep up the good work.
C'mon and give these guys a thumbs up! After all their efforts making and sharing videos, in this circumstances, they are worth a 👍🏽 don't you agree?
Wishing you, Carly, and your baby a good future, Good work on the Diesel heater..

Good to see you again Dom. Hope mom and baby are doing better and hopefully we'll get another update soon.
Nice to see you back. Best wishes to you all and I'm with you all the way. Cheers!
good to have you back Dom, you might not be a licensed technician, but you really do have an innate understanding of machines and mechanical systems
I wish that were true, Tim, but truth be told I'd be lost without other UA-camrs showing me how to work on these things 😬🙏🏻
Best wishes to you, Mum and baby. I can't imagine the kind of stress you have lived/are living. Be kind to Dom!
I clean my woodburner window with a damp newspaper dip it in the ashes an clean the window.. works perfectly for me.
Well done Dom, it's remarkable what a little regular Preventative Maintenance will do...
Good to see you back. From one seriously premature baby (me) to another. Hang in there mate! You have the best parents a chap could wish for.

You do a great job prayers and good vibes for mom and baby
Nice to see you back on UA-cam Dom send love to the family
Great job done! I love the analogy of a heater being a 'she'. Made me laugh out loud 😂😅😂
Which is true for many mechanical devices. The electronics can be nightmare at times.
First comment? Let's hope. I like remembering the original install years ago and then a troubleshooting session with a success story! Thanks for the valuable info, Dom, if ever I purchase that model!
It's that little hole air port next to glow plug that clogs up easily 😊
Great to see you again!
Good job Dom. Try running it on kero or paraffin every now and then to keep it clean. Works a treat.

What was that inspirational message on the wall of the shed - if your dreams don't scare you.. or something like that.
Then they’re not big enough 😌
@@CadohaAdventures : Yup - I'll go along with that! 🙂

Four years is pretty good! Nice job on the servicing, may "she" keep you all warm and comfortable for at least another 4.
Looking forward to watching you again
Love it! In a past boat I had an Espar heater. Loved it, but when it quit I needed to be a dealer to get the parts! I could have fixed it! Poor thing never worked again...
Hi great to see you back and moving on
Best wishes to all four of you. Love to get an update on Carly & Hank

Hey dom. great to see you back fixing up the boat. Love to Carly the lil man & Hank.

All that crud comes from impurities in the fuel. Just wondering what sort of filter/s you might have in place? I fitted 2 filters on my system.
Wishing you are all well!

We all like nice simple repairs. Best wishes to the family and hope the little one gets fixed just as easily.
well done Dom!
Great to hear all is well.👍 How good is it to fix stuff! 💪.
Best wishes to the little man and you both, great video. Keep looking after yourselves.
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
Hiya Dom ...you've just inspired me to sevice mine! Keep safe ..pray your family is getting stronger with every breathing moment...! Mark
Really enjoyed watching!
Great job. I guess I’ll have to do mine one day. So always good to see, you make it look easy.
Great to see you back, best wishes to mum and baby
🌞Best wishes to YOU all from Japan 🎏🍒🎌🌸🌊
Best wishes to You all from Sweden! //PO
Good to see you back. Warm regards and good luck with the bub.
That looked exhausting, really hot work.
Wishing the 3 of you all the best.
Best wishes for all of you. How has hank taken stress?
Ah yes, I remember the video of the install. Four years between services sound reasonable for a ‘cheap’ Chinese heater.
If it lasted 4 years , sounds like it could do with a clean out every 2 years 😉 😃🍻
Don’t run the heater in low for too long. Always run at max power every few hours when on to burn off the carbon build up
Good job Dom. Try running it on kero or paraffin every now and then to keep it clean. Works a treat.
