I joined LFB in 1967. I’m 79 now and can’t believe I did this. It was common place then. Good old days.

Many thanks for the shots of the AFS exercise on the docks. I was one of the thousand and we had travelled all the way from North Wales in one of the green goddesses, and stayed at Hendon airfield over night. If you have any more shops would you please put them onto You Tube. I have been retire from wholetime service for twenty five years and still miss the good times

Why am I getting vibes about the movie " IF" starring Malcolm McDowell in the late 60's whilst watching this, there's something uncannily similar but I can't quite place my finger on the similarity yet.....

+Mike Wallman Time passes Mike and the memories can fade. Sometimes all it takes is a little memory jogger to bring back the smiles and the faces of yesterday.

I see where you are coming from but he still would have been at school then. 1964/5

@@davidpike5563 Wasn't sure how old he was. I thought the fact he'd made Station Officer by the time of the 'Shout' documentary in 1983, he might have been older.

I am just annoyed, as some of the film used in videos are owned by British Pathé
