Hey guys, how's it going? I'm releasing this track for now, since I feel like it's in a pretty decent state overall with minor things to fix up if I feel inclined to, like collision adjustments or bugs if I find them anywhere, maybe polishing up some driving elements, etc, but I think the major design is all together now.
I made this for fun in a few weeks, with sporadic work in between starting up school again recently and having to work most days and try to spend time with friends to keep up on my own personal well being. I've been trying to get into track making slowly a bit more with a better mental game so I'm feeling better while doing it, and I honestly prefer the working alone aspect since I'm confident when I make that if I do it right and let out me to the best of my own abilities and make sure I'm getting it done correctly with the right feedback that the tracks can become very good. MarioPower55's year end retrospective top 50 really is helping me to remember that and was very good motivation :)
Anyway, this track's point was to be very simple and straightforward with nuances to the driving elements to make it have interesting and dynamic races like a lot of RTs. I was playing more lounge lately and it inspired me to delve into that direction a little bit further, and I tried to make this have some elements of WGM and elements of DDR combined into something fun with smaller nice bits of tech and fun driving without being overwhelming to newcomers. Hopefully it succeeds in doing that while still being very pretty. :)

amazing job as always! great visuals and themeing here, and the layout has a great flow to it. it's simple but entertaining at the same time. I do have to say, considering you aimed to make this track approachable on a first playthrough, the first split path is a bit problematic. I can already see tons of people driving straight into the grass lol

I wonder if making it so the grass part there is just regular drivable road would be a good idea too, just to make it more approachable on first drive. :)
@@ISwearChris no problem! making the grass drivable probably wouldn't hurt; it doesn't look significantly faster than the split paths. try it out and see what works :)
