this is clearly my favorite right now. it reminds me the age of Linkin Park when they released meteora.
bmth is my favorite band, everything they create is art. now i'll wait for another drum cover of this song.
Estas en todas partes bro🔥
Ciempre estas en cada video que veo man jsjsjs
Crearly? Is this an Asian joke?
You see how they are looking at their screen.?!
Thats what every good musican should strive for.
Masterclass from BMTH 🔥
Agree
Bmth created the bmth genre and they are absolutely amazing at it
Versatility is a seldom overlooked but really necessary skill to have as an artist. Your art needs to be flexible, expansive and ever increasing in quality. They have that. The jump in quality from album to album is perceptible, to the point where when they got to Sempiternal, only their 4th studio album, they were on a whole other level. That's The Spirit was a really fresh entry on the pop-rock scene, and then amo was out of wack, completely unique and experimental, and now they are taking the beautiful energy from Sempiternal, the catchiness of TTS, the avant-garde and production value of amo and making something completely new.
Deathcore pop?
It sucks that they changed from Sempiternal to AMO...BUT this album seems to be going back to that Sempiternal and Thats The Spirit and I'm love it.
@@InsertNameHereCO Amo is way more creative than TTS
@@omegazx7236 what does that have to do with the sound?
Does this song remind anyone else a little bit of Linkin Park?
Absolutely. LP was one of Olis biggest influences
Honestly gives me korn take a look in the mirror album vibes
Yaeh somewhere i belong

Dude go re-listen to Obey as well. It could EASILY be a LP song.
BMTH is gonna be the band of the 2020s
Hopefully
They already are off to a good start
Nah
They aren’t already?
@@KM-je6bf lol?
Oli spoke to Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 before they played the song on air for the first time. Oli said this song is the most BMTH song ever. He spoke long time about how younger generation is growing up in this negative media and social media filled society,, where we hear and read about devastating news, but as it gets fed to us daily we become numb to these stories. Basically he says its fucked up the path we are heading to.
Also he explained how much his bandmates mean to him and have supported him and now directing the music videos is his second dream coming true.
Wait where can I watch this
@@albertsstuffreuploader1001 I’m not sure if you can, It was a live interview on radio one right before the song dropped
Suprisingly you didn't mention the Link Park vibe "Meteora Era" this song sounds like Somewhere I belong imo and I'm f * cking love it. But they mix it in their own style. Also totally agree with you all bands try something new most of them get compared to BMTH that recently happened with Architects. At this point let me just say BMTH is a genre for me haha they really have a league of their own.
yeas! I thought that today. This song is the "Somewhere i belong" of 20's.
yeah I was genuinely surprised they didn't find a comparison there
Yay! 😄 Here goes another Linkin Park Craver Like Me.... Bro.... Huge fucking fan of Linkin Park.... No offence I love BMTH too.... But many compare today with BMTH, LP, I Prevail and Evanescence for some Rock, Hard rock, Metal sounds that feels incredibly Awesome 🔥😎😍 Thease Artists are Super Crazy Like Chainsmokers experts for Electronic Music Like Fuck Yeah Dude.
Sounds like papercut, from the inside, somewhere I belong (video also has some similarly)
It's definitly like a tribute to Linkin Park, this is the first band Oli saw in concert and he start doing music thanks to them. So not even 4s after this song I was already emotional because I knew the LP influence. And personnaly been a fan for almost 10 years and I proudly can say that I am never dissappoint. I respect artist like them who don't mind getting out of their comfort zone
Beartooth- Sick of Me, that's the song you guys are singing about

@@CGiant yeah that's what I thought
@@RobertMatlock Break my Heart by Dua Lipa, the "centre of attention" part
@@RobertMatlock I was thinking BYOB as well.
If the breakdown was longer, this would be my favorite song easily. The chorus is so fantastic. Other than the short breakdown, the song is practically perfect to me
I'm really glad they didn't drag the breakdown out, I feel like it really wouldn't have fit the tone of the song the way it did with the others. It's much more Amo-ish.
@PROJECT GAMEZ exactly, that's why I'm glad they switched it up. It would be so disappointing if every single song on the album had the exact same progression and sound. I'm glad they switch it up
It was more of a bridge section than a breakdown. Just because they went hard during that section doesn't mean it's a breakdown.
@@mike-_5955 I’m not musically inclined enough to know the difference. I heard a rapid change from soft to aggressive, which is what I associate the word “breakdown” with
At this point, I don’t think BMTH can do wrong. They’re on fuckin fire.

@@Vegitobluuuuu no
@@andrewsimmons323 they are good now but their early stuff was pretty awful tbh, and I still can't stand Ronnie Radke
@@omegazx7236 Lol LP has elements of hip-hop rap electronica and cinematic rock alternative so many labels on LP music because after Meteora they changed their style and they did it perfectly. They are so good at that which makes them very versatile band not only as whole but as individuals as well.
I think you can compare "pulling a BMTH" to Linkin Park's evolution, and I think their trajectory was very similar as well. I think it's probably safe to say that BMTH is very much doing their own thing, but Linkin Park was maybe too ahead of their time as they evolved (looking at their last 3-4 albums) and BMTH is just on time... This song is very Hybrid Theory (in a great way). I love all eras of both bands, and I love how this pulls some new ideas into something that feels very nostalgic.
I would have to agree. I hear and see the Linkin Park influence
Totally. Almost nobody was ready when A Thousand Suns came out, and yet 10 years later that album sounds fresh.

You should react to “Animals” by architects
I'm guessing that this is the "other release" that they were referring to
It’s “Sick Of Me” by Beartooth. Off of the 2016 “Aggressive” album
Do we ever just think “why are we looking at people to react to music that we already heard before they did...”
But still we come back and watch them lol
Because we like the song a lot and we want the satisfaction of other people liking the song as well and the more they compliment it the bigger the satisfaction, especially if the person is famous
You can only listen to a song for the first time one time, but you can watch people listen to a song for the first time and have a communal kind of experience, watching someone hear something you love for the first time. It’s like showing a significant other your favorite movie that they haven’t seen.
So I'm a 52 year old guy who has lived in the past on bands like Foo Fighters, Disturbed, etc...Once BMTH started evolving, I really got hooked. I think Happy song got me listening. I can't stop listening to them. I think Asking Alexandria is similar.

they really grow as a band. their songs are sooo well constructed now. its not just about being heavy and putting in some breakdown in the middle of some songs, its about how they play with melody, riffs and give the song more "live" feel into it.
Somehow i feel, after Chester and LP, i can relate to BMTH and they are keeping the legacy alive and i can easily say this is the only band after LP, i can love each and every song.

bring me the horizon and falling in reverse have really been killing it in recent years. staying fresh and changing things up
i really hope you react to more EP songs! i personally loved all of them and think they're all worth a reaction
agreed! Falling in Reverse is the only band who can compare with them these days. Popular Monster is sick!
I've been listening to BMTH since I was a young teen, I remember hearing their first album and instantly falling in love, and despite how much they've changed, always fallen in love with every release they have done. On the topic of how much they've changed, I mean, I don't think they have ever changed, I think they tried a certain sound with the first album, tried to replicate it with the second but make it more melodic in a way, and then every release after that has been completely different. I don't think they were were trying to be radio friendly, or trying to disappoint any fans, I think the people that expected them to always be metal were wrong about the band from the beginning. People have constantly said "Bring Me the Horizon has found their sound", even they're guilty of saying it themselves, but Bring Me the Horizon doesn't have a sound, it's never had a sound and the next release after this EP that by the way, comes out next week, will be completely different to what they're giving us now. I also think that what they do is exciting, and more people should appreciate that.each release is different, because it makes everything fresh and fun to listen to, rather than a band like for example (please don't hate me too much) Bullet For My Valentine, which I have struggled to listen to since the first 2 albums, because their entire music career has been the same with only tiny very slight changes, and nothing else, and I am someone who becomes so dedicated to a band when I love them, so for me to think that about a band, I'm sure so many others feel the same way about bands that are like that. I hope it all makes sense haha
Video is all about Oli's ketamine addiction back in the day and how his bandmates ultimately helped save him. Oli directed the video - The honesty is so powerful.
i absolutely love, and agree with what you said about the "pulling a bring me the horizon" phrase. bmth has changed so much, but in their OWN way. in a way that i have genuinely never heard before, but i dig it so fucking hard. they didn't just change their sound; they evolved it, and i think that's amazing.
Bringing back Hybrid Theory/Meteora vibes and im crying tears of joy. Thanks you BMTH and LP.

People saying Asking pulled a BMTH confused, see when BMTH went poppier with That's The Spirit and then even poppier with amo, it worked. When Asking released self titled then Like a House on Fire, it half worked, if even, self titled was great but Like a House on Fire was painful, scuffed Imagine Dragons.
Such a huge early 2000s sound. I'm in love with this song.
Let's go!!!! Been waiting all day for this 🤣
I just listen to a song and all day watch reaction videos on it as if like the song was released by me😂

BMTH from there first record all the way to their new stuff is fire. Yes they've changed sounds A LOT of times, but they always have their unique sound no matter how heavy or soft, and no matter if it's heavy or soft they will still write a banger!
An interesting version of “pulling a BMTH” is Emarosa. They completely switched up their sound for their latest record but they still killed it
Not really, Bring Me had a few really heavy releases before slowly mellowing but still the occasional heavy bit.
Emarosa had one heavy EP and immediately started mellowing.
They haven't done anything close to heavy since.
Versus Bring Me has still had a few moments where they've gone really hard.
BMTH has more pulled an AFI than anything.

I love that you mentioned the bit about certain bands basically having their own genre. That’s something I’ve always liked to say when describing some of my favorite artists to other people and although there are probably a handful of artists/bands that fall under that category (like how you mentioned SOYD) I think my top three bands “with their own genre” would be Bring Me the Horizon, Linkin Park, and Enter Shikari.

Linkin Park and BMTH are my favourite bands of all time. To hear LP vibes in this just pushes this song to its limit, clear influence and a brilliant song.

The song by beartooth you were thinking about is sick of me
The chord progression in this song is the same in “Somewhere I Belong” by Linkin Park. Which makes sense since LP is one of there biggest influences not in general but for this album. Just look At the start of the music video where oli falls through the bed. Chester does the same thing in somewhere I belong. Then LP in hybrid theory had “cure for the itch” and BMTH have a song called “itch for the cure”. LP is all over this album, which makes me happy since they’re both my favorite bands.
Bring me the horizon is the future of music. They've always been ahead of the curve

I love the elephant synth in the intro and the outro and the underwater gurgle he puts on his voice during the “away from me” line in the chorus. Great texturing. This song Definitely reminds me a lot of that Linkin Park sound. System of a Down followed in Faith No More’s footsteps in regards to that originality and making every song new. Not much of a fan of their earlier stuff, but over the past 6 or 7 years, they've started to create something totally unique. It's heavy, melodic, intelligent, thoughtful and, in some cases, almost orchestral. The lyrics are so well written and utterly provocative.
Bring Me The Horizon are the perfect storm of Metal.

So.. I can understand the statement of "pulling a BMTH" being a bullshit line. Could you say BMTH is pulling a Ronnie Radke based on your comment of creating their own space and bringing in so many different realms of fans. Thats a quality Ronnie has had for years and BMTH has really been doing that too. So many reasons why FiR and BMTH are so amazing at what they do.

I agree that there's no other band like BMTH nowadays, but there are a ton of bands that followed in their wake after they dropped Sempiternal. That record set the standard for modern metalcore for most of the last decade. What sets this band aside is that they decide not to stick to any sound despite how successful it is and they keep experimenting and doing something new. They're constantly pushing themselves and their abilities and like Wyatt and Lindsey said, they're setting the stage for a new wave of bands (again).
