- For this Ghost Swirl tumbler, I went back to using KS Liquid Stone Resin so the swirls would set faster, and I went with all BLUES for a gorgeous, glittery, blue swirl result. Wow! I think, since blue is my favorite general color family, it shouldn't be too surprising that I love this tumbler, but still, it's pretty darn cool looking! Even the alcohol ink gods didn't laugh at me this time!

I love Swirls! Mostly swirls of color, but really any swirls at all - I think they add a beauty and grace to everything. So after I started making soap a few years ago, and needing some sort of biz name that didn't sound like everyone else's version of suds-r-us, I decided on Luxinda Swirl. Luxinda is a twist on my real name, and I quickly started putting swirls of color in all of my handmade soaps.
Now I'm branching out a bit, and I want to keep adding swirls to everything I do!

You've done it again!! Love this! I have the rainbow sparkle in my cart, and will be pushing it through. I've been hesitant because the pictures don't always do it justice. But you captured it In this video. Thank you !
Thanks! I wasn’t sure about it at first when I heard Mrs Nola talking about adding her “special sauce” to resin, but it’s pretty amazing - I don’t think you’ll be sorry. 😊
Stunning and with so many dimensions. Love it
Thank you!
I love the way your cup turned out, and I was wondering what you thought, if you drop reds, orange, and yellow on it if it would look sort of like flames ? What do you think . Thanks in advance for your input.
Thank you! What you described is how a fire cup is made, and it’s a very striking look!
Love the outcome of the “Boat Load” tumbler. I placed an order with Woodes Goodies but didn’t get any alcohol inks 🤦🏽♀️ I did get acrylic inks tho, do you know how to use them? I painted a color on my cup like 2-3 days ago and it’s still wet 🤣
The only time I've used acrylic inks was when I mixed them into resin and then drizzled that onto a cup. If you haven't watched those yet, here is one I did: ua-cam.com/video/i6KKjxbGH3Q/v-deo.html. But other than that, I am not very experienced with acrylic inks at all. I'm sorry to hear the ink is still wet after a few days. Does hitting it with a heat gun or blow dryer do anything?
Hi, Luxinda. Is there a turner speed that works best for this? I have 2, 5, 10, and 15 rpm. I didn't see you use a heat gun on this one. Does that make a difference? I'd like to give it a try to use behind temporary tattoos. I like the smoky idea. Your tumbler is beautiful, as always.
Hi! Up until recently when I started fiddling around with the alcohol ink waterfall method and got my 6 rpm turner for that, I’d only ever used 2-3 rpm turners, so all my alcohol ink swirl tumblers are on the slow turners. I’m pretty sure I would have used a heat gun, but may not have included the footage in the video for some reason (like sloppy editing).
Curious why you mix the white with resin before applying instead of just dropping the white ink directly over the blues?
Just a different technique with a different result. White alcohol ink dropped directly on behaves differently than white alcohol ink mixed into resin and drizzled on.
Gorgeous cup, blues are my favs also. How much resin did you mix up for the white, (was it Blanco, Blanco) and how many drops of White in the resin. I want to try this for a fire tumbler.
Thank you!! About 5 ml of resin with 4-5 drops of white. The Blanco Blanco works great, or if you have the Let’s Resin “Deeper” white, that works, too. Have fun with it!!🔥
@@Luxinda Thank you, I do have both whites and casting craft white pigment. So, here I go, using your technique on tumbler that is waiting for me. Love your videos.
Why I don’t see anything?
I’m not sure what you mean. You see a totally blank video? Or you don’t see the blues on the cup once it’s finished?
@@Luxinda HI, it's all good. I refresh UA-cam and I finally see the video :) Thank you for all these wonderful tutorial :)
