New-ish follower here! Because of your review I ordered Simmer in SS Hazelnut. I received it today and I ran to my bedroom to try it on - I was so excited! All my other wigs are on the shorter type because I could never grow my hair long - it is what I was used to! But let me tell you. I'm loving this wig so, so much! Thank you for the recommendation and for every single video you have out there - very educational! I'm loving your channel!
i am glad to have watched this, i just ordered my first wig ( one you can use heat on ) by Raquel Welch, and its not even here yet, and got discourged by other vidoes that talk about these types of wigs saying they do not last long. I needed one just for work and found one of her wigs on sale that i really liked. I do plan to add more, later...but can not buy 4 or 5 all at once.
@Wigs With Steph I am curious to know your thoughts on the brand Gabor. The manufacturer makes the same shades and fibers as Raquel Welch. I am thinking of purchasing Own the Room by Gabor. It looks fabulous.
Loving the mini ponytails! Overall looks great on you and the color too! I have her in the wefted Shaded Iced Latte Macchiato. I haven't worn her out yet as I am having a love/hate relationship with her. Mine came with perfectly tight piecey curls/ waves. I combed her out with a wide tooth comb to loosen the curls/waves, and although it's getting better, the right side seems to hug my head too much, creating a helmet look. It's like it needs a few layers or something. It's driving me crazy but I'm not giving up on her. I'm going to try heat or steam on her and see if that helps. Thanks for your wonderful review! ❤
Oh my gosh!! This happened to me too when I first purchased her!!! I remember one side of the fiber sticking to my head way more than the other side and it drove me NUTS. What fixed it for me was wearing her about 5 times, and pressing down on her "helmet" side (sounds silly- but my fingers are always in my hair and it's just what happens over time LOL), and then I remember after the first wash/dry, she finally sat "right". And then I was OBSESSED. I hope she works out perfectly for you with time too xo 💕

I really love your content. I watched your washing technique. Did it yesterday. I have 2 heat friendly wigs and have yet to use a straight iron or curling iron on them. But you are helping me move forward and do it. Thank you so much!💖💝

Thanks for this video! I’m new to synthetic wigs and just got Simmer yesterday. It feels a little crunchy, as if it had a lot of mousse scrunched into it. Is that normal for a brand new wig? Is it something that goes away as you brush/style it? It’s so encouraging to see how well yours has held up over the years!
@@WigsWithSteph oh yes, I sure have I forgot about that one I actually do have mesmerized but I haven’t worn it for a long time because it’s biscuit without the root so I am saving that one for summer. Thank you for reminding me about that one.❤️

Hi!!! No, I didn’t do anything to this wig to make it not look shiny. It’s a heat friendly synthetic- so maybe that’s why? I find heat friendly fibers are not as shiny as the regular synthetic
Great review 🌸 I like that you are defending the heat friendly styles. I do feel like they look more realistic especially in the sun. When you straighten Simmer how do you get that beautiful wave back?
Hi Cindy!!! After straightening, I have to re-create the wave. I put it back using the straightener actually!! It’s a technique with the wrist. OHHH, im thinking I should make this a future video :) Thank you for the idea!!!
@@WigsWithSteph Hope you make the video soon showing how to put waves back in. When I try to curl a heat friendly wig it doesn’t curl at all. It barely does.
