- Let's have a look at new Raquel Welch Wavy Day wig from their
2022 collection and compare this style with Simmer Elite also by Raquel Welch.
I'll purchased Wavy Day with my own funds from Mimo Wigs from their clearance section In colour Shaded Iced Cappuccino RL10/22SS - a medium brown base with cool ash blonde highlights with a medium dark brown root.

Here’s an update on my Wavy Day :
Washing the wig did remove some of the thicker coating, but not all.
I think in the long run this may prevent over tangling, which is a good thing I guess. I would imagine the coating would wash out eventually, so I wouldn’t see that as an issue.
It seems to be mostly concentrated at the nape where the additional silicon layer would actually be of benefit.

Great review and tips! I agree with you about the texture !!!I’ve had mine and noticed it immediately-how do you think you can Deal with it it’s strange *I’ve sprayed dry shampoo and I think just adds to the heavy feel* thanks for your input about this wig!

I tried combing it through gently and applied HD detangling spray. I think the most of this coating will wash out in my first wash 🤞. Feels like a layer of silicone 🤔 that slid down the hair! 🤷♀️
Brushing it did help a lot! I’ll update you once I wash it! Xx

recommendation for wig grip?
Hi hun! I buy my wig grips in bulk. Those come with an adjustable rubber strip at the nape.

I also love Milano grips - they are really thin and tend to be wider, but because of my flat head, I need one with an adjustable rubber at the back.

Why is it that the Iced Shaded Cappuccino looks warmer than the regular Shaded Cappuccino when it’s supposed to be cooler I don’t get it. I’m trying to find a brown. That’s neutral to cool with neutral to cool highlights and I thought I would like the iced Shaded Cappuccino, but every video I look at the 12/22 SS looks cooler than the 10/22 SS. I’m stepping down from Shaded Biscuit, so I think I should just go with the 12/22, SS.
Do you know, I found that too! Weirdly Ss Cappuccino seems cooler and tends to wash me out! Haha
I would definitely go with 12/22 SS if I was you. 👍🏻
It’s the number 22 that is meant to cool things down, but combined with 10, it neutralises it instead 🤷♀️😂❤️
