I love this song and thanks and shout out to Pat for requesting it! As you are finding out Sohum that Blues can be filled with great energy and fun. But when you have the blues nothing helps more than immersing yourself in blues💙💯. I think it is because blues are so real so authentic and relatable. It has something for every mood. The older you get the more you will appreciate all that Blues has to offer. 💙💙💙🎸🎶💯
Hi Sohum You Have Got to Check Out "Ten Years After" Alvin Lee is a very underrated Guitarist. So Definitely we have to do some Woodstock videos with Ten Years After.
To answer a few of your questions... Where was this hiding? Well, problem here is that we have a couple of guitar gods in the 60s and 70s. But Alvin Lee is often forgotten. Most dwell on Hendrix or Clapton, but at his prime (late 60s, early 70s) Alvin was at the top with them. However, Alvin Lee did not care about the super stardom, and tried more to get out of the picture, instead of getting into the picture. All reasons so few people know of him. Will you find more like this from Alvin Lee? No. This is a one of a kind, he is known for long solo's, but more often they are raw and sometimes experimental. However, ALWAYS with that beautiful guitar tone of his. And it all comes from the guitar and his fingers, no pedals and such. Except when he uses attributes like a harmonica, microphone stand or a drum stick.
oh? soaring guitars? satriani... ive seen him live crapton when buddy was in the bouncer circuit and would get us into the beacon free like every night... but the work i listen to of his the most is dreaming#11... the 3 live songs, especially memories, is something many new satriani fans are totally thrown off to hear... but that is what satch truly is... ua-cam.com/video/wUGMDrK8eS4/v-deo.html&pp=ygUVZHJlYW1pbmcgIzExIG1lbW9yaWVz
The first slide guitar solo was George Harrison from The Beatles.
First guitar solo - George Harrison (the Beatles). Second solo - Alvin Lee (Ten Years After).
Alvin Lee the guitarist from the band Ten Years After, made famous around the world like many other bands by the 1969 Woodstock Festival.
