As a romanian I find my country's fate in this story is poetic justice. Seeing how my people today lack the backbone to change anything for the better for future generations the humiliation in the first weltkrieg is well deserved.

However, I also disagree with the OP, as the romanians of that time, who worked themselves to also help unite the romanian people would not have deserved this. My people need a wake up call. In hoi4 i curve stomped austria hungary thrice as romania and i also got lucky cuz the ottomans attacked Bulgaria and i managed to get the south eastern regions too (in kaisserredux)
As a Hungarian, I never understood why we annexed some random carpathian shit, but at least we didnt annex much land, we are not romanians, we dont stole others home
