Cocomelon is literally designed to rot brains. It's so horrible. We watch Miss Rachel in this household haha. I'm sure when she gets older we'll watch actual shows too, like My Little Pony and probably Bluey.
In general: the more the show resembles a stage play, sticking to one setting with as few cuts as possible, the better it is for a kid. Inversely, the shorter the scenes and cuts, the worse it is. This is irrespective of any other quality metric (although yeah Bluey is way better than Cocomelon for other reasons as well), it's Very Very Bad to overwhelm young brains with constant flashing lights and quick cuts. Source: I'm a children's librarian and my whole job is about how media affects kids. (Sidenote, read to your kids!)
The oldest shows I remember probably won't be much help because they're mostly popular in Europe... But I think when I eventually have children they'll watch a mix of things from different times! Stuff I watched, stuff that is popular now, and stuff that will be popular then. I think it's important not to get stuck in a "the new shows are bad" mentality, not only because they way things are communicated has changed, but also because talking ABOUT the show (or books, movies, pretty much anything) with your peers is very important both for learning and connecting with others!
For CHIMPS on this map I used Sauda, inferno ring and icicle impale on the small stone, submerge and support in the river, cripple moab off to the side then to help clean up ddts i had recursive cluster on the main island and relentless glue under the sub
Arthur, Tom and Jerry, Wild Kratts, Word Girl, Fairly Odd Parents, Avatar TLAB, zaboomafo, Scooby Doo, Blues Clues, Jimmy Neutron, Fetch with Ruff RuffMan!, Both Cliffords the red dog, Pokémon, SpiderRiders, the animated Garfields, Billy and Mandy, all of Studio Ghibli, Invader Zim, Wonder Pets, backyardigins? Digimon, Wizards of Waverly Place, around 10-12 was given Full Metal Alchemist both OG and Brotherhood, Ben 10, anything Lego, all Toy Stories, Finding Nemo, Cars, Ratatouille. Edit: Teen titans, Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, Totally Spies!, Super why!, Code Name Kids Next door, CyberChase, Curious George, Max and Ruby, Peep and the Big Wide World, Dinosaur Train, Pocoyo, Maya and Miguel, Phineas and Ferb, Johnny Test, Sweet life On Deck/of Zach and Cody, Drake and Josh, Big Time Rush.
The first show I can remember was Thomas the train. But peppa pig and spongebob squarepants were also great shows from my childhood. And even though it wasn’t around for me, Bluey is incredible for younger kids, and adults. Just no cocomelon.
Apopalypse isn’t ridiculously easy, unless you farm. If you don’t enjoy farming, then the difficulty is exactly what it’s supposed to be: a medium difficulty. As someone who is trying to black border the expert maps, apopalypse difficulty was oppressive. Now it’s doable.
i binged this series and have been eagerly waiting for a new video to ask you should have multiple sheets in one google sheet seperated by each map difficultly so you can score the same difficult easier also you should color code: easy = light green, intermediate = light yellow, advance = light red, and expert = dark red
Q = dart monkey W = boomerang monkey E = bomb shooter R = tack shooter T = ice monkey Y = glue gunner A = wizard monkey S = supermonkey D = ninja F = alchemist G = druid Z = sniper X = submarine C = monkey buccaneer V = plane B = helicopter N = mortar monkey M = dartling gunner H = banana farm J = spike factory K = monkey village L = engineer monkey
Also I know you haven't really asked about tower names or anything but the druid should definitely be either Kaqemeex or Sanfew who are druids in Taverley in Runescape, and the wizard should be Sedridor. Determined to get like 1 RS reference into your names somewhere.
I specifically remember watching some random show on nick jr and one of the commercials was an anti smoking commercial. Obviously 5 year old me wasn’t smoking, but my Poppop was at the time. The next time I saw him I told him that I saw that smoking is bad for you and that he should stop, and so he did. I don’t know if he would still be doing as well as he is now if he hadn’t stopped smoking, but he still to this day says that me saying something about it was what finally snapped him out of it and made him realize that it wasn’t good for him and that he needed to quit. Kinda got away from the point of what you were saying, but basically yeah, let your kid watch the stuff that’s currently on TV. It teaches genuinely good morals and life stuff and has specific guidelines that it has to follow, specifically with stuff like PBS kids. You never know when those relatively small things that they learn will make a difference in their or someone else’s life in the future
I think apopolypse is fine now. It is only a medium difficulty. Before it felt like a hard difficulty. I feel like you only want easy med and hard standard plus impopable and CHIMPS. All the others are either too easy and pointless or too hard and you wish it didn't exist. Loving the series though. Have watched every episode.
Infernal, Glacial Trail are the next easist Experts. Then Workshop, Flooded Valley, Muddy Puddles, Sanctuary in the next difficulty group. Then Quad and #OUCH in the next Then hardest 3 are Dark Dungeons, Bloody Puddles, Ravine
i dont see why apopalypse would be any quicker. its obviously easier with more money but the bloons will come out just as fast however quickly you beat them since you dont wait for rounds to end ever. you went so fast just because you were doing really well lol
I think the earliest show I remember watching all the time was blues clues, and yea I’d like to think I turned out better because of it. Actually no it was rocky and bullwinkle but I only remember how they looked and their voices I don’t remember much about the show
Hi Dabloon, how do you play on PC? Thanks! Like the videos, I use them for a mixture of sleeping to (you mentioned this in an early video) and actively watching with lunch!
Apopalypse should be switched to a hard game mode, increased to round 80 or 100, be given harder rounds and also have a button that lets you send rounds like in races. It could have a time to beat on every map and be the official speedrun mode
My earliest memory of a cartoon was SpongeBob but I remember my mom hated SpongeBob I think kids will like what they like they're their own people but also a product of their time
I think it would be a good idea to put like a spreadsheet of what to build when in the description for guidance when you do these how fast can you black border
Teletubbies, they were the reason i got my own tv, my parents got very tired of that intro. Thomas the Tank Engine, I was one of the kids that was very fascinated with trains. When i got a bit older, you mentioned the channel name of what i used to watch, Boomerang. My chilhood was spent watching Hannah-Barbera animation shows, a little bit of nickelodeon, some disney. Disney Junior never caught on though.
By the way, you can disable the collection event triggering if i remember correctly by turning off your internet connection idk if they've patched it though
honestly when I was really little, Ben 10 and Ben 10 omniverse were me and my sister's top favorite show, but idk if that would be good for a really little kid. maybe in a few years would that be good. literally just anything but cocomelon or any other super brainrot show
The earliest memory that i have is of watching a show called gumball and i love it even to this day. But my parents always tell me that when i was very small i loved Bob the builder
My cousin has a 2 year old and she loves bluey. Its alright as a show teaches some good stuff. But i think avatar is like a 5-8 year old thing because its got alot of emotions that a younger child wouldnt notice
i grew up on cartoon network. adventure time (the earlier seasons) are kid friendly, but they definitely grow up, which is good since you watch more as you get older. the amazing world of gumball was an amazing one too. cartoon network all the way!! (but speaking of YOUNG kids- pocoyo, little einsteins, wubbzy, super why, the backyardigans, wonder pets [my personal favorite], and last but not least- yo gabba gabba! that show was so fun.)
The Wiggles, Blues Clues, Mickey Mouse, and then as like a bit older around 6-8 it was atla, ben 10, teen titans, batman animated series, jonny test, were the saturdays. literally anything cartoon network and nickelodeon
Yeah the map is uber easy. Really wish they made it X-Factor lite by bloons coming out and spinning both ways (so the front is still the Front and exit has both exits)
Avatar: The Last Airbender was the first show I watched, and it is easily my favoriteshiw in the world. It has so many great messages. It has had a profound positive effect on my life. 100% recommended.
A suggestion to make it faster: use hot keys, it'll save you seconds. And as a speedruner, i think you will find it very helpful. (You the speedruner not me XD)
Kids TV, I didn't watch growing up as we didn't have a TV. I've seen tons of UK kids TV because my friend's kid is 3. Most of it is short (5 mins) shows with some fun educational message and story. Hopefully US kids TV is the same.
my earliest show is DEF higglytown heroes. 100% recommend bluey though, it has good morals, wholesome parental figures, and themes that the kids may not pick up on but can help you grow as parents
sub paragon's ability needs a faster wind up time. 15 seconds is too long. Also, I think you should exclude menuing times and collection events from your end times. It'll be a pain to update your previous times but I think the event collection is screwing up your times.
I was born in 2004 (my gosh I'm gonna be 20...) but I remember one of my first childhood shows was Oobi and I adored it! Honorable mentions like Bubble Guppies, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, etc. Also I've heard very good things about Bluey though and what little I've seen myself has taught me some things too
I would absolutely watch Bluey with her. Literally anything but Cocomelon.
Cocomelon is literally designed to rot brains. It's so horrible.

@@Shining7833 yup! Come back tomorrow and we'll talk about Dora de Explorer!
@@Graceclaw aaaaaahhh heeelp someone please
This is probably one of the best maps for the best possible time.
Also you can fit 4 small footprint towers on those top and bottom platform's.

15:06 masha and the bear
I’ve been sick the past few days, and binge watching this series was relaxing☺️
This should be a beginner map
The oldest I clearly remember was a VHS titled "Mouse Soup." It lives rent free in my head.
I know I’m late but a goat is phineas and ferb
The first show I can remember was Thomas the train. But peppa pig and spongebob squarepants were also great shows from my childhood. And even though it wasn’t around for me, Bluey is incredible for younger kids, and adults. Just no cocomelon.
Earliest show I remember watching was Ducktales, I would also recommend Bluey
Anything that isn't cocomelon or UA-cam kids basically
My parents always had me watch shows from his childhood, chip n' dale rescue rangers and duck tales, my little sister loves them, i recommend.

it’s manageable but it’s definitely not easy on the expert maps.

Bloody Puddles is very easy don't you think
I recommend either Infernal or muddy puddles. Though muddy puddes has a veey tough beginning.
Infernal, Glacial Trail are the next easist Experts.

Then Quad and #OUCH in the next

definitely infernal
childhood shows i would want my kids to watch would be spongebob and naruto for basics
Scooby-Do was my favorite show when I was a kid. It taught me how not to be a meddling kid lol
Black Border in the new map? Nice! Great video

I like the idea of apopalypse going to round 80.
I think the earliest show I remember watching all the time was blues clues, and yea I’d like to think I turned out better because of it. Actually no it was rocky and bullwinkle but I only remember how they looked and their voices I don’t remember much about the show
I just googled it and apparently they had a 3D movie in 2000 but I never seen it lol
Also I was a 95’ baby so

Oldest show, Scooby Doo reruns.

Gumball came out in like 2012 or 2014
Little Einsteins was the earliest for me
Shining time station is my first. But I love bluey as a dad with a 4 and 2 year old.
I don't remember any shows, but I did love Tom & Jerry (old ones) as a kid.
Those were the good ol days, seeing Tom and Jerry on cartoon Network after coming home from elementary school or early middle school
Yay I black bordered sulfur springs before dabloon
Dude i was like 2 i dont remember
Thomas the train carryed my childhood
My first show I ever remember watching was the Wiggles and Blues Clues

you should watch wild kratts, it teaches about animals and stuff
This map is super easy. I ended CHIMPS with 75k saved up by using Pirate Lord and Ultra Jugg. And I'm a normie like you lol
Yeah the map is uber easy. Really wish they made it X-Factor lite by bloons coming out and spinning both ways (so the front is still the Front and exit has both exits)
@@jamesknapp64 that would have made it a true Intermediate!
Why are the towers not being named anymore?
I think Sesame Street, barnie, veggietales, and cailou were my earliest shows
I have to recommend 64 zoo lane. Such a good show for kids.
My earliest shows were dragontales and fragglerock. Do not show her fragglerock. I still have nightmares

Blues Clues, Elmo, SpongeBob
Bluey is great. I think SpongeBob or I Carly were the earliest ones. Maybe power rangers too.
Let her watch Shimmer and shine or smt like that
Blue's clues is maybe a good show
Earliest shows. Johnny Quest.........

I wonder if it could potentially be faster to go in reverse and start with hard and finish on easy
