    Geeze you guys found some descent sized Crappie. Nothing like that down here. Always fun when the Crappie bite is hot. Now you've got some very good tacos to fry up.
    House is done and we're moved in so now it's time to go out on some ice.

      Ya, this was a fun outing for sure with some decent fish. Good to hear your house is done, we should meet up in Northern UT and do some fishing in the next few weeks. Looking forward to some of your ice vids!

    I had a question about your flasher. Does the dial on it ever confuse you, I don't have one so I can't say for myself but sort of looks confusing was it a good buy?

    • @the-mountainlife
      @the-mountainlife  7 років тому +1

      Jay, this is a good question. The way my flasher appears in this video isn't how it actually looks in person. This is due to the light frequency and my camera not getting along. So...when I'm saying things like "there's a fish on the screen" don't get frustrated if you can't tell, because it just looks like a bunch of flashing colors every now and then, it's much different in person. I have only used this flasher on two outings, but I am happy with my purchase so far. Thanks for watching, hope that helps.

    what head cam are you using in this video?

      I am using a contour Roam 2, the cameras are ok, but I cannot recommend the company. My last one was supposedly waterproof up to 3 feet, not so! And the company totally ignored me after multiple attempts to contact them about it. Luckily I had purchased an aftermarket warranty and got it replaced that way. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    the mountainlife please help I am going to strawberry late January I am an inexperienced angler and have no idea on what baits I should use we are targeting rainbows to.

      Hello William, thanks for the question. I will give you a few ideas on what has worked well for me, but keep in mind, someone might have a different opinion. That said, green paddle bugs seem to do really well there. I have also had good success with a white tube jig, roughly 2 inches long, tipped with a wax or meal worm. These are two options for jigging, and in UT you can use two rods. So while you are jigging a tube or paddle bug, I would rig up some type of small ice jig/fly. I like a small colored jig (usually pink and white) tipped with a wax worm, meal worm, or maggots. You can dead stick this (which means you simply put the bait down the hole and keep an eye on it) while you are jigging your other rod. Hope that helps, good luck!
