    Ok that looks like a nice mod - definitely gives a mean aggressive look when lowered and doesn’t affect suspension settings. Well done video

    I never thought of doing universal bags over the original suspension that probably saved some money

    • @DavidinHD1
      @DavidinHD1  6 місяців тому +2

      It saved a bit of money. Also I was able to keep the stock suspension settings with have a code pop up on the dash. You could get a code delete but that’s another mod to add. Using the universal bags gives you airbag functionality while keeping your adaptive suspension intact

    Looks sick! Few questions:
    So this didn't mess with the adaptive suspension Dodge has?
    Universal bags, what exactly does that mean is it an option you have when you purchase the system?
    Also, the condensation valves, do you just literally twist the valves at the intervals you mention?
    Looking into this for my widebody charger. How much did it run you with install?

    • @DavidinHD1
      @DavidinHD1  2 місяці тому

      What’s up boss. No it does not mess with the adaptive suspension, as the stock strut stays in place. Universal Bags is the brand, instead of buying the airlift bag or strut system and just buy the universal bags and take your springs off and these go right over your strut. The airlift system wires right up to the universal bags. The valves you just push the tip in, like if you release air out of a tire, all the condensation will come out.

    Sweet ride. I wish i could hide a whole 4 gal tank and compressors in my small trunk, lol. My spare tire area isnt big enough.
    I have Airlift suspension on a Camaro 2SS. I've been on air for 3 years now. It was my first mod, and knowing what i know now, I'd buy it again.
    After air, i can never go back to static. Theres just too many cons with static and too many pros with air.

    • @DavidinHD1
      @DavidinHD1  3 місяці тому +2

      I did love the bags and on the stock struts it didn’t feel floaty. The 2SS Camaros have a spare? I had a 2SS 1 LE and I don’t think it had a spare. Mine was a 2014, what year is yours

    • @blkeclipsel2400
      @blkeclipsel2400 3 місяці тому +2

      @DavidinHD1 It's a 2013. The first year they upgraded the interior, and the last year before they changed the headlights and taillights.
      It did not come with a spare, but It still had the spare tire area where the spare would be. Instead, there was a foam disc.
      At first, I thought the dealer left it out but later learned Chevy didn't bother with a spare tire due to the size of the 4 piston brembos. Instead, there was a compressor and goop.
      I later bought a spare and a kit off eBay. It's a snug fit, but it works. The kit itself is basically a wheel adapter/spacer that extends the spare wheel away from the caliper and those pesky Rollerskate front brake pads.
      I hate spacers, but in the event of a flat, I didn't trust onstar, and it would just need to be long enough for me to get it to a tire shop. Thankfully, I haven't had to use it yet.

      @blkeclipsel2400 3 місяці тому +1

      @DavidinHD1
      2013, also best to my knowledge, was the first year they introduced the touch screen head unit/ Chevy MyLink. I wanted all the bells and whistles without those new taillights and headlights.
      The 2010-2012 models had that old plastic steering wheel, cheap interior, all plastic dashboard, older gauges, and that antiquated head unit. I'm not sure if they had the seat warmers or not, but mine does. It also has the HUD and voice command.

    • @DavidinHD1
      @DavidinHD1  5 місяців тому +1

      @jjak75 yeah, if you want a system and keep your adaptive suspension function… they make sure when you get the airlift system you don’t get the bags or struts from them. All you need is the air management system and all the air lines with compressor. The airlift strut tends to cause clunking sounds when going from being aired out to normal drive height when left low for a long period of time. The universal bag combo is great piece. I sold the car and the air lift system separately so I can’t provide a review of it now.
