Also love the rhymes , if there’s one thing modern entertainment/art lacks it’s the elegance of speech aka poetry❤
classic cars (those from previous century), actually every “electronic” between 1700’s and 1990’s looked fancy they made the product look classy in order to sell more if the thing broke down it could be used as nice decoration (I have a coffee bean grinder as ornament but it still works) modern stuff however can easily be thrown away and forgotten once they broke down or lose their function
i absolutely agree with you dude, im so sick of car manufacturers trying to make cars look other worldy, but atleast DeLorean is trying to keep the style of cars alive, cant wait till the electric DeLorean makes its way to SA.
I hate the excuse for these modern designs being that "People will come to accept them as they have come to accept many ideas in the past that have once been considered controversial" but this is not true. There are many designs that people universally hate especially in the car industry.
My soul takes poison damage everytime I see ugly cars which genuinely could've looked good with a better design team behind them Edit: The fact that the "futuristic" designs look like what cartoons THINK the future is like makes the cars look unrealistic as all hell, which makes people feel that the designs are "cursed". What did the design teams expect tbh?
I love how you rhymed a good chunk of this, much appreciated! Also Thank you! This is literally my biggest gripe with vehicles. There’s a reason why so many people, like myself, Resto-mod vehicles, as well as have an appreciation for new but actual car designs. Sometimes certain designs, and characteristics come along and are timeless. I appreciate all car companies that have brought back retro designs but tastefully modernized them. Lately I’ve had a deep appreciation for Toyota/Lexus, their cars are interesting and cool, they get it.
For me as an artist, a futuristic car (electric or not) should be still look like a car that is good looking and fun to drive (even tho I can't afford a car and driven one) It's okay to be simplistic, but it still should look like a car that has that class and majestic feeling on it. Classic designs are everywhere, and I like them that they still looks modern and futuristic.
I hope we get to see an electric roadster with 60’s-70’s styling. A modern take on the likes of the Honda S600, triumph spitfire, MG Midget, even going into something like a 240z. Tiny cars that have basically no practical use, but are super fun to drive. An electric one of those could be surprisingly fun, if they kept the spirit of what a roadster is meant to be. A tiny, hopelessly underpowered car that you can drive the hell out of through a corner.
the best part is that most electrics have way more torque than gas cars, AND they have a completely flat torque curve, so even if it's terribly underpowered you could still absolutely shoot that thing out of a corner like a rocket
@@sugma69420 the reason electric cars aren’t fun is because they’re not made to be fun. I care about the driving experience more than anything else. I know a guy who electric swapped an Mg midget. I'm still waiting for the era of chrome cars to return. It was the most beautiful era of cars in my opinion. They were getting more modern but still kept the graceful look of the 30s-40s cars I'm sure they could integrate the same kind of styling while keeping them aerodynamically efficient

This is why I love the cars that Karma makes. they have futuristic technology but they still have absolutely stunning looks. you should definitely check them out if you havent heard of or seen them already
I agree wholeheartedly although the thing is something tell’s me to keep an eye out in the future for something big… I have his feeling sometime in 20-50 years time a company won’t give a F and try to bring back the “old school” stuff in a big way.
I'm just anti ev in general, honestly. The way they're produced, the pollution that's required and produced to manufacture the batteries as well as the strip mining is just total hypocrisy in the name of being "environmentally friendly", and there's nothing we can do about it. So yeah, I'll be honest, I do as well just love the sound, smell, and feel of gas engines. Nothing will come close, ever. Will it be a hard pill to swallow when gas is eventually outlawed? For sure, but I can say I'll probably try and ignore it all just to pretend it's still all fine, because after all the N74 is one sleek retro design that you can't hate which proves they have the capacity to make awesome modern cars... they just choose to push bs in the name of "the future". Ps. If you're gonna argue about how lovely and environmentally friendly these ev batteries are, leave me out of it, thanks in advance. Also can't believe I'm a month late to this masterpiece...
If bladed sees this. There are guys who still sketch concepts and renders. There’s a guy who made a 3door Civic SIR electric concept that looks like a proper hatch (ep3 successor) with some technical engineers who came up with the idea of a power plant conventional enough to keep costs down to the original EG6 Tokyo yen price adjusted for inflation and converted to USD (16,500 original MSRP after conversion and inflation).
As far as I'm concerned, not really necessary becausw the Honda E exists even though we can't buy it in the states until after their batteries are probably going to be dead.
It genuinely makes me sad that one day I'll be sitting with my son or grandson on my lap and he asks me "Dad/Grandpa, what were cars like in your time?" And I'll have to show him what's left of my 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z and tell him "Back in my day cars had engines, back then cars had souls. I'm so sorry your generation will never get to feel and experience the pleasure😢"
Yea, honestly doubt we'll go down that road. Once everyone realizes that those lithium batteries will just be sitting in a landfill for the most part, we'll likely reconsider our haste. The average batt only lasts 100,000 miles. Think about that for a second. Also, we should consider what this will do to the lower class. Do you really think you can just live out of an electric car? Who will be able to afford them to begin with? Sure, there are budget options, but that doesn't do anything about the imminent maintenance and repairs that you will not be able to do by yourself. Not to mention the fact that an outright switch to EV would only aid in taking driving away entirely. There are multiple proponents of a total switch to self driving vehicles already. Imagine if every car ever just had the inherent ability, we wouldn't even truly have a choice at that point. At any moment, operating your own vehicle could be taken, not even just some certificate that says you can but your literal ability to do so.
I think every Manufacturer needs to watch this video. Remind them of all the car guys out there. Maybe even make them think of a really cool car in their past that they think might sell.
i agree with most of what you said. the most concept cars are getting too much “fUtuRIsTiC” indeed. some concepts are just gonna end up on some meme goofy ahh car lists. they look like bull💩. some i think do look cool, but i sure hope we keep car design how it should be, for instance: the Mclaren 750S. Hyundai and Dodge really have made something new with a retro twist. I really love how well they had announce their flagship EVs. I really don’t understand why other manufacturers can’t seem to find a way to make a eye-catching EV concept.
Wdym Hyaundai due to one concept if anything Nissan due to having a Retro Production car?
@@BS_Auto_and_other_BS Right. I do apologize for not including the Z retro throwback. Great one. I think if I were to get one, I‘lol also go look for the 280Z Fastback.
The Renault R5 Turbo Ev doesn't look that bas either
Because they're trying to ape Tesla, which imo doesn't even look that good to begin with
@@BS_Auto_and_other_BSHyundai has a lot of futuristic cars that look good wdym not just one concept
Oversized kitchen appliance perfectly describes the new EV look lol
Like you said, I don't have a problem with electric cars. Matter of fact, I love them. That instant torque and the silence when you move. But can we please have an electric car that looks like a '60s Corvette
wonderful genius
@@jonathanolsgaard5697 RIP AMERICAN CAR CULTURE 👎😢
You ca always convert one if you find a frame.
Deadass bro they can use old models and cars and make them EV!😭 Like these new designs are awful!
@@LAndrewsChannel NO, converting a car like that to electric should be punishable buy 1,000 razor blade cuts and if you dont die from that then you get a 357 mag to the face
Future cars should look like the ‘50s again, but more retro-futurist.

Dude it's official : You have got a Right To Rant !!! Love it. You said it all !
I've been living vintage lifestyle since 1997. Apartment architecture, furniture, clothes... They just had a sense for style and concept in every area of culture. Even back in the 80s, but it went downhill since the 90s.
You said it well: "The most appealing products have already been made" ... so true.
Honestly all these new "futuristic" designs just seem like uncreative people somehow got in the positions to dictate the design direction of certain brands
its like they just take regular employees and ask them to draw a car without any baseline
@@foooosh well, then they should ask me to do so
imagibe they all just use AI to create car designs
Pathetic huh? xD
The creativity is gone
I'm starting to wonder if artists in the automotive industry are rejected from the entertainment industry (films, books, comics, etc.).
its because car companies arent run by engineers and artists
I don't know anything about cars. I don't even have a driving license. But this guy's passion about car design made me hyped for the future of these four wheeled machines. Great video!
Honestly I thought I was getting old or something bc all of these new cars looked uglier to me than our current cars but I'm glad it's not just me
I was not expecting this video to be bladed going full Shakespeare on us
Maybe we are getting old, as I said in the video, maybe this was how Horse riders felt seeing their replacements on the horizon.
So be it, IMMA RIDE THIS HORSE TO HEAVEN BORTHERRRRRRRRRRRRRR
@@BladedAngel Nah man its not you getting old, i'm 18 and i cant even look at most of these new cars lmao, i'd pick most of old 80' and 90's cars over them.
@@scouter7405 Same. I am 20, and would rather have the classic Muscle era over most of the supposed "futuristic" designs.
Hell, a recently unveiled cyberpunk-themed Camaro for Hot Wheels seems more appealing than a good handful of what was soon in the video.
16 here feeling the same, and this surely can’t just be a minority thing cuz the artists who made the almost retro-futuristic designs in cbrpunk 2077 that I especially love clearly had a similar line of thought , good to know that people that are into cars do in fact have a taste & are not absentmindedly following along with whatever their favorite brand releases.
Also love the rhymes , if there’s one thing modern entertainment/art lacks it’s the elegance of speech aka poetry❤
Bro, I'm 19 and always grumbled about it since 13 yo
The same shit with movies, music (At least with music it's not that bad) and games
classic cars (those from previous century), actually every “electronic” between 1700’s and 1990’s looked fancy
they made the product look classy in order to sell more
if the thing broke down it could be used as nice decoration (I have a coffee bean grinder as ornament but it still works)
modern stuff however can easily be thrown away and forgotten once they broke down or lose their function
This is why I love companies like Morgan they still make cars by hand
And out of wood😊
i absolutely agree with you dude, im so sick of car manufacturers trying to make cars look other worldy, but atleast DeLorean is trying to keep the style of cars alive, cant wait till the electric DeLorean makes its way to SA.
As someone who consumes Abilify, I agree with you. Futuristic aka "E" is not the way to go..
A fellow based Abilify enjoyer, err I mean sufferer.
SUFFER MORTALLLLL AS OUR PATHETIC BUREAUCRATS BETRAYYYYYYYYY USSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I hate the excuse for these modern designs being that "People will come to accept them as they have come to accept many ideas in the past that have once been considered controversial" but this is not true. There are many designs that people universally hate especially in the car industry.
I 100% blame the cyber truck for all of this
tesla is a significant part of the shitty "minimalist" car design trend
naw i blame the 100000 "mercedes future car" concepts
Nah it came from older industrial design trends
My soul takes poison damage everytime I see ugly cars which genuinely could've looked good with a better design team behind them
Edit: The fact that the "futuristic" designs look like what cartoons THINK the future is like makes the cars look unrealistic as all hell, which makes people feel that the designs are "cursed". What did the design teams expect tbh?
out of all car brands I never expected Hyundai to make such nice cars. love the Hyundai N Car line, even the current ones like the i30N
I’m only 24 yet you managed to make me feel like I’m already in my late 70s XD
I hope Hyundai inspires other manufacturers to do what theyre doing, they have nailed the futuristic look
If I'm not hearing that engine sound, what's the point of it..even if it's 1900HP that effing sucks
I agree, dude.
I haven't hear someone talk so passionately about car designs and the occasional rhymes made it even better. Bravo to you
For me as an artist, a futuristic car (electric or not) should be still look like a car that is good looking and fun to drive (even tho I can't afford a car and driven one)
It's okay to be simplistic, but it still should look like a car that has that class and majestic feeling on it.
Ew. No. That's a waste of a perfectly good car
@@sugma69420 the reason electric cars aren’t fun is because they’re not made to be fun. I care about the driving experience more than anything else. I know a guy who electric swapped an Mg midget. Electric motors are a blast in a tiny car without traction control, believe me. I still wanna drive with an ICE, but electric cars CAN be really cool
Extremely poetic for like 7 minutes
I'm still waiting for the era of chrome cars to return. It was the most beautiful era of cars in my opinion. They were getting more modern but still kept the graceful look of the 30s-40s cars
I'm sure they could integrate the same kind of styling while keeping them aerodynamically efficient
Tailfins and modern big block engines running on synthetic fuel? Now that's a future in which I wanna live lmao
Mmmmmmmmm tailfins
id die for a modern design based on something like the hudson hornet too

I can get a handful of putty and just squish it in my hand and make these lame designers go insane after showing them the squashed putty
Also, you're scripts are pretty much poems and I'm all for it mate
I'm going to miss the satisfying point in a race where you hit peak horsepower and pull away from the guy next to you when electric is all we have- xd
tbh we are actually getting close to simulating car engine sounds properly, I know some guy managed to do it, and an ev bike company got in contact with him about it. I'd say it'd be a nice addition to some EVs, its like how the keyboard layout is still the exact same as old typewriters.

Bladed is secretly a poet
Exactly
This is why I love the cars that Karma makes. they have futuristic technology but they still have absolutely stunning looks. you should definitely check them out if you havent heard of or seen them already
The "just one last time" Sends chills down my spine. I shall do my part as well. As a car guy 😄
Duuude, same. How do they expect to sell their new EVs when they look like tumors 😂
I agree wholeheartedly although the thing is something tell’s me to keep an eye out in the future for something big… I have his feeling sometime in 20-50 years time a company won’t give a F and try to bring back the “old school” stuff in a big way.
Why is bro reading a poem 😭 every 2nd line rhymes 😭
Tears man.......tears😢
I thought I was the only one who always hated the futuristic concepts & i've been hatin them since like forever.
Ill just point the gas prices out to you.
@@Sailed_away That's true, but you gotta admit, the level oh hypocrisy just to keep people happy and feeling good about themselves is funny.
I love how Porsche EVs are so different to a regular Porsche but they still look beautiful, they never fail to impress
Never did I expect Bladed not only ripping apart the future of E but also rhyming like Dr Suess in the same video
I’m a poet and spoken word artist and this was actually pretty impressive. Loved the passion behind the writing and your delivery
Bro wrote a whole poem about this lmao
Hyundai is probably one of the only companies that did the modern look well
It genuinely makes me sad that one day I'll be sitting with my son or grandson on my lap and he asks me "Dad/Grandpa, what were cars like in your time?" And I'll have to show him what's left of my 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z and tell him "Back in my day cars had engines, back then cars had souls. I'm so sorry your generation will never get to feel and experience the pleasure😢"
Treasure and maintain what's left of em man.. I've got my 85 Falcon sedan that'll hopefully run for years to come.

overdramatic much?
You are so right, i love old school style, 80's cars more than cool new ones
New cars like's hotwheels
I think every Manufacturer needs to watch this video. Remind them of all the car guys out there. Maybe even make them think of a really cool car in their past that they think might sell.

Great fun isn't it! Go again
Guess bro just needed to tell someone
Thank for speaking up for this bruh, these "FuTuRistIC" look like a 90s game on low graphics.
i agree with most of what you said. the most concept cars are getting too much “fUtuRIsTiC” indeed. some concepts are just gonna end up on some meme goofy ahh car lists. they look like bull💩. some i think do look cool, but i sure hope we keep car design how it should be, for instance: the Mclaren 750S. I honestly don't think the combustion ever will truly die out in racing maybe on the highest levels it wont be present but there will people who aren't racing to win trophies but just for the experience of going fast with loud engines and banging gears.
Combustion in professional racing won’t die out either, people still race horses
I actually like the cybertruck but still agree fully with you. You see the cyber truck is just one of a kind and thus I find it interesting.
I like futuristic designs, Like the Challenger EV, It’s when They take it too far when it hurts, So in short, I completely agree with this
At least the hovercars in Futurama, which take place in the 31st century, actually look like cars from the 50s or 60s as opposed to bulky, glorified home and kitchen appliances. And not one of them is an EV!
Just in case you're curious, the episode "Put Your Head on My Shoulders" has Amy's brand new car run out of gas on Mercury when she went out on a date with Fry.

It’s terrible how I prefer cyberpunk 2077 was legit a preferred car design. And they look actually like cars. N vision is the only new ev/ hydrogen I find sharp
Yeah, N vision 74 looks amazing to me. A perfect combo of retro and futuristic style
Listen, even people hate it they’re going to still make these designs anyway I’m also making things in the past. It’s not the future like come on now just makes me mad.
Even though this is completely off topic.. it's the same with architecture and design of not just cars. I'm tired of people making barebone glass buildings that look like boxes or curvy shapes with no soul. It's sad how especially as someone from Vegas for example, we used to have resorts full of theme and soul. And now the new ones are stripping all that away. You can still add a ton of new technology but it's sad that everything is turning so bland.
reminds me of the 'safe' ship on futurama....
ngl i would buy the Hyundai concepts in a heart beat if they ever get released
