      There's times I wish I could up vote a hundred times. I was also struck by that line. My family has a high frequency of hyper rage. My grandfather was in his 80s, with cancer, walking with a cane stooped over when 2 burly young men tried to rob him. He feigned being afraid and when one got close enough, knocjeds him out cold with a single punch. The other left running. He came home and told the story.

    Tex talks battle Tech, Had a wonderful explanation For humanity especially when it's not in a state of war but it's always prepared for it. Now he said this about the Steiner alliance but I feel like in With a lot of these stories it applies to humanity in general. We are an elder God happy to sit in our corner playing with toys in the mud until somebody comes along and kicks over our sand castle. The moment that happens we lose all of our s*** and go completely Ballistic with insane rage because all we want to do is be left alone Do build our castles of mud and play with our fancy toys. The moment anyone does this Is the moment that they wake a sleeping elder God of War one that only exists for the Share purpose of exterminating the thing that disturbed its peaceful slumber. Alien life should do everything it can to keep us placated and happy and Ensure that we Never get bored and it never feel as though someone's trying to take away our toys. Because when humanity wakes up and Throws the temperatantrum the entirety of all the multiverse quivers in fear because the moment we are done With this Universe we will not stop we will just keep going and figure out a way to get to the next part of the multiverse and continue our unending conquest. So it's better for the Galaxy if we're just left alone to our own devices for their sake more so than our own.

    In olden days stories where given 2 titles conjucted by "or" Thus one desperately needs a second title: " or why you should listen to Yamamoto."
    This is why I hate the new hulk and bever found she hulk interesting. I suffered from hyper rage from childhood through my 20s. Sometimes the man who walks away from a fight, shrugging off the epithet of coward; is actually afraid of himself. When a NYC gang cornered me and forced me to fight their leader, I being only about 11, they were not expecting their boss to wake up a week later in the icu minus his spleen and half a liver from just a hand to hand fight.
    Sometimes the one that most wishes peace, is the one mist capable of war...and afraid of himself.

    Sadly if you do not train for war. You stagnate in weapons development. In space that would be fatal. The M-4 is barely improved 1960 tech. It’s almost as old as me. FN a few others have slightly better versions. But it’s an inferior caliber, weapons system. But it’s simple, cheap I guess.

    Aww, I hate that people get shields wrong now that we are finally on the edge of making them.
    Plasma shields can block any weapon but energy based ones indefinitely with enough power. The age of laser warfare is coming, but it's coming on the back of plasma shields that will go from blunting explosions to stopping heavy slugs.
    Of course the earliest reasonable laser weapons will need to charge shots in some kind of compactor, so we might just get the pew pew laser guns as well. SCIENCE. 🧑‍🔬

    • @nadjasunflower1387
      @nadjasunflower1387 Рік тому

      perhaps...but just like it was figured out decades ago. lasers will never be used in anti-personnel warfare, because having a weapon that cauterizes the wound it makes isn't good battlefield doctrine. (over simplified doctrine - shoot 1 soldier, now you need 2 to remove him thus costing the enemy 3 soldiers)
