In this tutorial show how I make a phase II ARC Trooper helmet by modifying my Captain Rex pattern. The helmet is made from EVA foam.

You are welcome! The gloss white still took 2 coats, 3 over the black foam. I want to try spraying it to avoid brush marks.

@@OdinMakes No problem! Hey let me know how it turns out. I go back and forth on the whole brush marks thing when it comes to clone wars props because the animation texturing looks like brush marks.

I'd like to see Odin make G1 Optimus Prime's head one of these days. I know it's been done to death, but it's a classic bit of design. Maybe he could base it off the original toy from 1984 instead of the cartoon model.

Hello Odin, I love your videos they always make me feel better I hope you can make a Iron man mark 50 or a red hood helmet
The Arc Trooper is pretty good in Battlefront 2. Also Odin, the Helmet you made for Rex is the Phase 2 helmet, which is the design that takes more inspiration from the design from the Stormtroopers in the original Star Wars. Phase 1 has a far more Mandalorian design to them.
I would love to see you make the witch king from the lord of the rings....or even an orc helmet like the one Frodo wore in the return of the king! love your videos by the way :)

I almost used a pepakura file for the updated chin. I wanted to try to do it hands on still.

Some day! When I was younger I was making stuff on the porch of my apartment with material scavenged out of the dumpster. I have used all sorts of packing material for builds
This is definitely going to be buried but seeing as you built one Sonic Screwdriver you should most definitely make David Tennants and Matt Smiths screwdrivers!! Love the work

are you going to have a updated pattern for the new front? I really like this helmet. If your looking for another Star Wars helmet, how about the rebel helmet they used on Endor. I've never seen anyone else make it.
Odin, great build as always and a great learning curve and improvement too! Since you like building helmets, how about a robotech/macross veritech fighter pilot helmet? Miriya, Max Sterling, Rick Hunter, the only differences was the color schemes, but Roy Fokker’s Skull Squadron Skull Leader helmet would be awesome!
Would love to see Vader's helmet or The Mandalorian helmet, these are so cool. Star Wars is awesome.

That helmet reminds me more of the Rocketeer helmet than anything!!!!
I think I've said this before but I really like that you leave some of the mistakes in the video.
I was staring to wonder if you were going to keep the Rex helmet on for the whole video.
The mohawk (for some reason UA-cam thinks this is spelled wrong) could be for helping change direction when riding a swoop.
I really admire your skill. Your painting and weathering is really great.

You should make some armor to go with one of the helmets.

Just for the record, the this ARC Trooper helmet you’re making as seen in season 3 of the Clone Wars, switched over to the standard Phase 2 clone trooper helmet in season 4. If I remember my canon knowledge correctly, the ARC troopers tested out the phase 2 armor, where it was then further modified, and then became standard issue.

as it so happens I have seen that one scene from Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 7 and I have to admit I love how much they respect Ahsoka when she came back and the animation for season 7 was a hell of a lot better then the first six season of the clone wars series you did a nice job on the helmet I love it anyways thank you so much for taking the time to read my comments until next time.

So epic. Also, the reason the back and sides of the helmet are so different from Rex is that you made the realistic style arc trooper helmet. (Movie style) and Rex’s helmet animated style (clone wars.) They have slight differences in shape and design. Came out great!!
No, it’s just a straight up better design, hate to say it but the chin of the Rex helmet looks completely off.
If you like making helmets, how about Mordreds from Fate/Apocrypha? That thing looks awesome and I'd be interested to see how you made the horns.
storm trooper or darth vader helmet are some things i would love.
also maybe green goblin helmet from spider-man 1, might seem weird but venom/carnage face/helmet?

I have mulled over RoboCop a few times. I love the 90's movie. Robo 2 was good, not sure I ever saw 3. If RoboCop is so heavy he bottoms out a police cruiser- how the hell does he fly with those tiny wings????
@@OdinMakes he didn't bottom out the car because he had detachable legs. He was essentially a very expensive meccano kit.
