Something I realized because of the 2 episode format from Season 1 that nobody talks about: Because of the format, any odd-numbered episode that is not the first story of a Railway Series book has a line towards the beginning of an episode that gives context from the previous episode to either remind viewers or tell viewers who didn’t see the previous episode what lead up to the episode’s current situation since it’s the first episode of an airing but in the middle of a book. Thomas and the Breakdown Train: “Remember, you can never be as strong and fast as Gordon, but you can be a Really Useful Engine. Don’t let the silly trucks tease you.” The Flying Kipper: “The special coal they’ve given you is working well.” Down the Mine: Not long ago, he had fallen into a dirty ditch. Thomas enjoyed teasing him about it. You get the gist.
Thomas the Tank Engine Series was one of my oldest childhood memories and since then I love both the models and the CGI. It's a shame that the CGI Thomas and Friends series has coming to the end because I would to see continuing visiting other countries a bit more as he hasn't have a chance to visit American, Germany, France, Mexico, Berlin, and Japan as well as meeting the other engines featuring in "Thomas and Friends The Great Race" like Vinnie, Frieda, Axel, Ivan, Etienne and Carlos. But sadly it's not going to happen now no thanks to Mattel.
I mostly watched Thomas on VHS instead of TV as it was broadcast too soon after school on CITV so I rarely got home in time. I didn't watch Thomas again on TV until NickJR started broadcasting it. But by then I had the Internet and could watch Thomas any time.
Something else I wanted to point out about some season 11 and 12 airings. They reused songs from past seasons. But they had karaoke and replaced or rearranged shots and they were longer. Mostly the Season 7 shots. My question is why? Why did they change the classic shots with hit ones that look no where near as good?
I usually enjoy watching Thomas and Friends on Yo-Yo TV, Momo Kids TV, and CBeebies, and sometimes I also watch mainland Chinese and Chinese Taiwan dub DVDs.
I find it frustrating that Calling all engines (Despite being in the style of Thomas on TV sort of) never aired on TV on PBS and when they aired it on Nick Jr they removed the songs and learning segments, the things that made that special fit as an airing were removed or the special was not shown.
@@LeaderOfTheTracks you should the original owner of the airings Smurfy dan and black loch village Recordable airing 2008 Leadpaintcrisis Those are the only known people who have the nick jr airings
Do you have any more info re Thomas being pulled from CITV in 1993. I knew AWDRY had issues with Henry’s Forest but can’t find any info about this being the reason it left ITV
I doubt they removed it cause Awdry was displeased of one story. Also anyone can write anything on a Wiki. Never believe anything unless there's a reference.
I grew up with Thomas on PBS kids normally Thomas would be on Sundays but my station airs it a day earlier. If you're confused I live in Maryland, US so my local station is MPT use to be PTV park plus
You forgot the very first Thomas movie, Thomas & the Magic Railroad, the only movie worth watching. After Series 5, Thomas episodes should have been kept to 4 and a half minutes long, with the same themes of music. That way, Thomas' classic image would never have been ruined.
this video is like ice cream, delicious

It's very attracting seeing how a show has ''changed'' over the years!
your the perfect Thomas UA-camr to watch while making a custom or layout
Thank you! :D
@@portablethomas Yw :]
I loved the down on the station segments much better than the learning segments
Same! I like the uniqueness of the Learning Segments but I love the real life railway footage of Down at the Station so much.
I also like down at the station segments but I still prefer learning segments bc I'm still nostalgic.
Happy 2K Subscribers!
Thank you! :D

HiT was the current stuff back then so it'd look more consistent to have HiT footage.

ooo can't wait!!
This is just Thomas‘s journey on UK TV 2

That was hardly formatted differently for TV aside from the end credits being sped up on the BBC broadcasts.
You forgot cartoon network (1995-1998).
No I didn't. Thomas wasn't formatted differently on Cartoon Network so I didn't include it.
Were they individual airings?
@@cwlong0803 yes

1995-1999 actually, I remember seeing it in the listings early that year shortly after we got Sky Digital.

Thomas aired on Nick Jr Australia did you know?
Yes

Because it doesn’t have a dedicated video
