I hope you're able to ignore these bossy and some rude comments. I love how happy and content you seem in this apartment. You decorate, add furniture, store things, get rid of stuff and hang pictures, etc any damn way you like!

Small advice, if you care, from art person, livingroom images could be 20cm lower and closer together so that between space is smaller than left and right wall. Prints in your room should be vertical and side by side. Looks cute though ❤️
I agree that the pictures in the living room can be closer to eachother, but i actually love that the pictures above her bed are not side by side. I think they fill the space better the way she put them. 😉
So much advice on where and how to hang pictures, my advice is hang them anyway you want 😅 your flat is looking lovely. ❤

Would you ever consider putting your teal couch under the new Desenio pics in the living room? That would make your couch the focal point of the room, if you like that idea. : ). New pics are great!

I agree. Closer together would make them more cohesive. 57”-60” from the floor to the centre of your print is the general rule of thumb. Great prints! Love your vlogs!
@Elibomb08 welp, I hung mine 60" from the floor to the bottom of the print. Might have hung it too high like Alexis 😂

Love the prints 🤩… a good rule of thumb for how high you hang the frames is to have them in your sight line or a bit above it… I think you can lower the 3 frames a bit and it’ll give a more cozy feeling to the wall.

You should put the couches facing each other or sell one and get chairs. Pictures are 👍 but ones in your room look kind of odd. I think they should be vertical

Also, it's looking beautiful and you loving your space is what matters! From a design/balance perspective, visually, I recommend removing the black art print from the first shelf in your room and either replacing it with something that's taller than the print on the second shelf or just keeping the plants and no print there. Right now the eye is going in a diagonal line all the way up to the top of your pretty new stacked prints. Again, that's just my ocd design brain. I love watching it all evolve and how much you love it

Maybe remove a few of the plants from your room as making the space look a wee bit cluttered, especially the trailing ones. One or two are nice though x
I would consider moving the teal couch to face the brown one. It could give you more space.
Yes, agree...or either way, if that open doorway is completely blocked and not in use, hang a pretty throw, tapestry etc. behind the couch. Would make the living room cozier.

Some people never learn certain design rules and don’t know better. I think people are commenting from a stance of trying to be helpful, not necessarily critical. If she wants to take some of the advice, then great! If she doesn’t, it might make some of us cringe, but we’ll have to get over it because it’s not our house lol.

Agree with the others, need to lower your frames babes! But the center print really ties in the teal and blue, I love that. Another decor tip, I see a few fake flowers which are cute! If that's what you like, but maybe consider easy to care for and cheap plants like pothos (cheaper than fake plants and impossible to kill! Plus you can make little vases from the propogations) or dry some eucalyptus to add life and movement to the space. You'll be amazed how much it elevates your design and makes you feel happier to have real plants and greenery!
I think pothos isn't cat friendly, sadly. Not poisonous, but can cause upset tummy. I have one but I keep it hung up high so my kitty can't chew on it. Don't know if Bennett even likes plants, though. I only have one cat who persists in chewing on all my greenery.

The best way to end my sunday!! Have you guys considered putting the bar cart on the blank wall between the two openings and getting a bigger table? The table in the corner feels a bit small for the size of the living room in the videos. Also I follow Emilly too and I’m so curious to see how Zach’s room looks like, as it’s the only room left 😂

I think the prints look GREAT in the living room. They add a lot of color and interest, and they go really well with the one over the drink cart. You might want to move the Harper's Bazaar one though--to a different spot, or move it up to harmonize more with the height of the other 4 prints in the room. Also, if you don't want to move the green couch sideways to open up that doorway, then maybe hang a curtain of lights over it, or even a pretty throw or tapestry. This would make the room even cozier as well as blocking noise--like if someone was watching TV and someone else wanted to go to sleep in their room, the curtain would keep the TV sounds contained to the living room. Just thoughts. I really like what you are doing with this place. It feels much more easy and comfy than your studio and I can tell you feel a lot more at home there!
Its amazing too see how far you have come. You are becoming a little DIY queen.
Maybe you could try the cushions from the couches on the opposite ones and it might help you feel that it is more intentional. But honesty I could be completely wrong.

The two big sofas make ur living room look small sell your couch and buy two swivel chairs
Each to their own is usually my mantra, but oh my gosh the two clashing sofas (size, not colour) does my head in. Keep one, sell the other. Get two funky chairs that can go opposite the wall sofa. Make an inviting open conversation space. Currently feels crowded and awkward, especially trying to use that lovely entrance into the space.
Also it’s not spending a ‘million dollars’. Marketplace, thrifted etc. make your space useable and comfortable and live for now, not as a storage facility for furniture you might need in the future.
@@jowilliams363 I'd definitely keep the green one. Brightens up the whole room. If two sofas are wanted, maybe go for tan or soft ochre--like the color scheme she's got in the bedroom. I love the space in their living room! Mine is so small and pokey, and full of windows and doors and missing a whole wall due to a massive archway--I literally can't change things up, it's so frustrating.

You should consider getting a tension rod and hang some curtains up where the green chair is. It would act as a divider. Plus get matching chair covers for the sofas. 😊
