- Happy 13th Birthday, Shorty! You're an excellent climber, always have been, and you've never been clumsy at all, a true graceful queen you are! :)
Kodi, of course, has had no issue at all with climbing the tree, though I also had to show him with treats the correct path to go up. He wanted to jump right to the top but he catculated it to be too high so he just circled the tree like a shark until I showed him how to do it.
There may be more review videos coming up for our dear Sho as her "gotcha" day approaches in November. Hope you're all doing well out there!

I'm so glad hearing her call. My first queen had the same style of communication. She died 4 years ago at only 10 years due to cancer. And Shorty reminds me so much of her. 😭 Thanks guys for letting us take part in your jouney ❤

@@gordonhall9871 Indeed! I'll always have cats. Have 4 others also, some from the streets, some from the shelters. They give so, so much back and help us live our best life, be better humans over all.
Eywa did her job in teaching me how to get in touch with cats, how to be gentle and respectful, how to sense their needs - and above all, how to appreciate my own lifetime. This had been a therapeutical process. She literaly saved my life more than once.
I wish everyone else to get a furry assistant in pure love, trust and learning from each other! 💚

My Steven is about 15 years old now, and even though his hind legs are weaker than before (dude was so freaking athletic he could jump into the air and nab a hummingbird in his mouth, which we had to force him to drop), his forearms and claws are still strong enough to get himself up to the couch for cuddles (and I set up a makesfift stairs for him to use when getting onto my bed).
It's amazing the heights to which a cat can climb if there is a treat at every level.

I was talking about the cats who live in my own household, two of whom are svelte and athletic, and two of whom are . . . rounder and appreciative of the closer platforms (we recently got a similar cat tree to try to encourage them to move a bit more). :)
