It will be interesting to see the Flight Factor B777 for x-Plane 12 when it becomes available, so far from the Alpha version that I’ve seen it looks pretty good. Not going to get into the x-Plane vs MSFS debate because it’s like talking about religion but, realism is always my first requirement when buying an expensive add on especially that I flew the triple as a captain for over 12 years. So let’s see what the future holds. What a great time to be a flight simmer!

Hi Pedro, Yes, PMDG have indeed modelled in pylon flex (which for sure, is particularly prevalent on the 777 haha)! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video! Many thanks and all the best : )
After listening thousands of 777-300ER takeoff from the front and middle of the cabin + cockpit, and flying more than 10 times on this aircraft, I can confirm these are NOT REALISTIC and need bug improvements.
Hey Uwu, The ATC is real-world recordings, which I’ve then edited into the video. There is actually an ATC chatter app available for MSFS though, if that’s the sort of thing you’re after : ) I hope that helps. Cheers and all the best!
Hey, how did you get the Auto throttle speed selector to let you control it? I bought the freighter, and I couldn't figure out how to let vnav let go and let me select the speed.
Do you turn on AI traffic once your airborne? I've noticed in a few of your videos it seems like you have ai traffic off when taxing around the airport, and on your old videos you definitely had AI traffic turned off back when you had your 2080 GPU. If you'd be kind enough to answer I'd really appreciate it, thank you.
Hello Gregory, I generally have my AI traffic setup, such that it’s only operating on the ground. Previously, I was using AIG traffic, with only in-sim ground traffic turned on. These days, I use FSLTL and only have a very small number (5 or so) of active AI aircraft actually flying. My primary reason for this configuration, is that there’s nothing worse during a recording, than a taxiway getting blocked, or having to go around due to traffic on the runway etc. so basically, I have static AI traffic at the gates, but not much actually flying around. I hope that clarifies things. All the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations it clarifies things splendidly. You've always taken the time to answer my few questions I've had over the past years and I very much appreciate it and am grateful. Thank you for taking the time to respond to me, have a wonderful week.
Nice video. Few very minor things… You don’t need to put left forward fuel pump on for the APU. With AC power, it connects automatically. With auto start on, you don’t need to wait for 30% N2. Just set fuel control to run as soon as you select start, and the auto start system introduces fuel when it needs to. You always fly a minimum of vref+5 on approach. Otherwise pretty good knowledge.
@@Q3arkIt’s Vref + Half the Headwind Component, but with a minimum of +5. If there are reported Gusts, its Vref + Half Headwind Component + the whole Gust Factor (Gust factor being the difference between the reported wind speed and gust speed), to a maximum of Vref + 15. Eg on runway 27 with wind 270/10G20 = Vref + 5(Half headwind component) +10 (gust factor is 10, difference between wind strength (10) and reported gust (20) so total VRef+15 (which is the max). If gusts were 25, still Vref + 15 as 15 is the max to add to Vref. Hope this helps. It may be for all Boeing, I’m not sure. But certainly for the 737, 777, and 787.
Hey we usually start the engines thanks to the auto start so you don’t need to wait for the N2 to rise to run the fuel ;) Anyway that’s a splendid simulated aircraft and a great video :)
@@qGapz I wish I had that type of power. The company doesn’t list a customer service number and refer all questions to their knowledge base and forums. All we can do is wait.
I am curious why you wait until 30% N2 before selecting the fuel control switch to run during engine start. With the autostart system engaged, the EECs should monitor all of that for you. The only thing it will not auto shut down for is no positive increase of oil pressure. I mean if that is a company procedure to wait until 30% N2, then that is enough said and a valid answer. I am just curious really and want to know your thoughts or procedures.

Might be wrong person answering ;) But if he/she is more for Short/Medium haul Fenix would be the better choice even if 777 can do medium haul good to ofc. PMDG is however more fps friendly and i was suprised how smooth everything felt in 777, considering how weak pc i have, almost as smooth as with the PMDG 737NG family.
Hi QQQ, I would have to agree with Daniel - it really depends on what sort of flying you like to do. If you like short haul, the A320 is the obvious choice (and vice versa). Speaking in terms of pure quality, I think the Fenix A320 still has an edge over the PMDG 777 (though both are excellent addons!). I hope that helps a little? All the best : )

Could anyone help me with a problem I’m having? I plug my controller into my pc and start the game and all the controller binds are empty. Seems everything is erased so the controller has no input
I’m afraid, I wasn’t given any info regarding that, Fan Fan. The PMDG forums might give more specific details. Sorry I can’t be of more help on that one. All the best!

Hi UA, I would certainly like to take a look at the UH-1 however, my schedule is looking pretty busy for the foreseeable future, I’m afraid. The Huey is already on my list of potential future videos though (I love Taog’s efforts with the Alouette : ) Cheers for the suggestion and all the best!
Not on this as it’s a 777, but the PMDG 737 Max will have a pre grounding version of MCAS to enable it to force the nose down and a click spot to have the door blow off
I just maxed out the credit card, Avxeryaep! : P No, as mentioned during the video, PMDG were kind enough to send me a copy, for the purposes of my review : ) Cheers and all the best!
I have previously considered it, Mr S, yes. The trouble is, when I have tried deviating away from my "usual" style of content, the videos don't tend to do very well (in part, because of how the UA-cam algorithm operates). Given that (for me) a video usually requires 2-3 days of work, I tend to pick the subject matter carefully haha. All that being said, I'm certainly happy to keep the idea in my back pocket - something for a rainy day : ) Cheers!
Do you know the difference between B777 and B737-900? I don't. Toying around at PMDG site, update and clicking - hope to get rid of fun price, and sale started. Then --- WOW - the price looks right! $50. Paypaled and start download - unzip I noticed I purchased B737-900.. Wasted $50 - I own the -700, never going to use -900. Well at least you guys can shake your heads and have a laugh. Thanks for the review. It looks similar to 767, I am familiar with. I am too old to learn something very different. BTW - waiting for email confirmation of B777 purchase now. Yes , I triple checked the basket first....
Haha! I didn’t have anything bound to my hardware for the instinctive disconnect so, it was just easier that way. Let’s call it a “systems failure” : P I’m looking forward to my tea and biccies (I don’t think it’s a “tea and no biccies” scenario)! XD Cheers, all the best : )
JFK not swearing at you & not letting a/c on the runway after clearance, so unrealistic. I guess I might fly one on a Japanese domestic route, but otherwise I'm not sure what I'd do with this thing. That was a nice landing, how many goes was that? :D Edit: does it handle RNP AR curved approaches properly, or are they still synthesising waypoints?
Haha! Well, clearly there are still areas in which MSFS can be improved. . . Perhaps, when some of the US controllers tap-out due to stress related illness, Asobo can pick them up : P 777’s (and other widebodies) do get used and abused for short haul, in various parts of the world. A lot of Asian carriers do this and some of the Middle Eastern carriers also. BA has a nice little hop in inter-Caribbean as well : ) I can honestly say, that was my first landing with the Tripler haha. True to life though; having never flown a jet previously (at the time), I managed to pull off 5 consecutive “greasers”, when I was given the controls of a 777 sim (Level D). At least, going off the sim, the 777 seems to be a very pleasant aircraft to fly - unlike like the Airbus / random landing generator : P I believe the addon does now support RF legs. I’ve yet to program one into the FMC though, let alone try flying a procedure (owing to my “schedule”, I’ve already moved onto the newest and shiniest toy haha). All the best, sir! : )
Should PMDG keep raising the bar or is just very good, good enough? This may be "study level" but it lacks that magic "feel there" component. On many accounts like sounds, engine response, lack of CBs and lack of class 3 EFB to name a few, this is far from my expectation of having PMDG stuffing a real 777 into our computers and making it feel alive.

Hi QQQ,
I would have to agree with Daniel - it really depends on what sort of flying you like to do. If you like short haul, the A320 is the obvious choice (and vice versa). Speaking in terms of pure quality, I think the Fenix A320 still has an edge over the PMDG 777 (though both are excellent addons!).
I hope that helps a little? All the best : )
Hopefully the engines are GE115’s not 90’s! 😉😀
Just seen they refer to them as GE90-115 which is fair enough. You don’t need the left fuel pump for the APU as it can draw without on the ground.
How did you do the cabin announcements?
Hello Craig,
I edited the announcement into the video (for a bit more immersion). I believe though, that there are 3rd party addons, that will allow one to do this sort of thing in the sim.
I hope that clarifies things a little. All the best! : )
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Top marks on the editing then as I assumed it was integrated already. Loved the video mate, great work
Could anyone help me with a problem I’m having? I plug my controller into my pc and start the game and all the controller binds are empty. Seems everything is erased so the controller has no input
What are your reshade settings
Any news on when its coming to marketplace?
I’m afraid, I wasn’t given any info regarding that, Fan Fan. The PMDG forums might give more specific details.
Sorry I can’t be of more help on that one. All the best!
Can you do a video of your graphics configurations? Please
are all the sounds original?
Hi Aleksander,
If memory serves me correctly, all the sounds in this video are original, except for the boarding announcement and the ATC.
I hope that clarifies things. All the best!
Any chance for a Taog UH-1 review?
Hi UA,
I would certainly like to take a look at the UH-1 however, my schedule is looking pretty busy for the foreseeable future, I’m afraid. The Huey is already on my list of potential future videos though (I love Taog’s efforts with the Alouette : )
Cheers for the suggestion and all the best!
This is great! Can someone tell me if it has crash feature inbuilt since it's boeing?
Not on this as it’s a 777, but the PMDG 737 Max will have a pre grounding version of MCAS to enable it to force the nose down and a click spot to have the door blow off
Think I’m more excited about you flying out of KJFK lol
Haha! Well, I’m glad you enjoyed the routing then, Renny! ; )
Cheers, all the best : )
Amazing landing!
Many thanks, sir! Much appreciated : )
How did u get it if it's 325M?
Probably exclusively sent by pmdg
hes rich
I just maxed out the credit card, Avxeryaep! : P
No, as mentioned during the video, PMDG were kind enough to send me a copy, for the purposes of my review : )
Cheers and all the best!
Ever consider making a video about making a video? I stick with stills as I haven't a clue where to start with film. Cheers!
All that being said, I'm certainly happy to keep the idea in my back pocket - something for a rainy day : )
Cheers!
@@IntotheBlueSimulations Looking forward to that storm.
that intro is the jem
Many thanks, Youyu! I’m really glad you enjoyed it : )
Incredible
737-900 ER flys different than the 700. You should def give it a spin. Cheers mate.
When is the damn place going to release? They set the price at 324million. They wanna release it at 12am 26th of June? Sigh!
They should add rare ufo 🛸 sightings lol
You greased them landings 🙃
Haha! Cheers, Harry. Much appreciated! : )
@Into the blue simulations you may have upset FOQM there.. BAW SOP mandates autothrust whenever operational
Haha! I didn’t have anything bound to my hardware for the instinctive disconnect so, it was just easier that way. Let’s call it a “systems failure” : P
I’m looking forward to my tea and biccies (I don’t think it’s a “tea and no biccies” scenario)! XD
Cheers, all the best : )
Still upset the last 50 plus dollar addon aircraft doesn't work. Freezes ect... Pmdg fix your stuff too on Xbox
50 50
325M , I CAN AFFORD THAT !!!
Lucky you, Blind! : P
Classic PMDG pricing
JFK not swearing at you & not letting a/c on the runway after clearance, so unrealistic.
I guess I might fly one on a Japanese domestic route, but otherwise I'm not sure what I'd do with this thing. That was a nice landing, how many goes was that? :D
Edit: does it handle RNP AR curved approaches properly, or are they still synthesising waypoints?
They have added RF finally!
Haha! Well, clearly there are still areas in which MSFS can be improved. . . Perhaps, when some of the US controllers tap-out due to stress related illness, Asobo can pick them up : P
777’s (and other widebodies) do get used and abused for short haul, in various parts of the world. A lot of Asian carriers do this and some of the Middle Eastern carriers also. BA has a nice little hop in inter-Caribbean as well : )
I can honestly say, that was my first landing with the Tripler haha. True to life though; having never flown a jet previously (at the time), I managed to pull off 5 consecutive “greasers”, when I was given the controls of a 777 sim (Level D). At least, going off the sim, the 777 seems to be a very pleasant aircraft to fly - unlike like the Airbus / random landing generator : P
I believe the addon does now support RF legs. I’ve yet to program one into the FMC though, let alone try flying a procedure (owing to my “schedule”, I’ve already moved onto the newest and shiniest toy haha).
All the best, sir! : )
"a bigger version of the 737" ... that sounds insulting lol
Is the pmdg 777 on xbox
pas encore, j'espère que nous ne devrons pas encore attendre un an !
Guys. Stop using DX12 😂😂😂
