  • Taking the sled out for a little ride today 1/27/2023 in Island Pond VT. This winter hasn't been very kind to us snowmobilers so far this year. First time on the trails with the new to me 2015 Polaris Pro S 800.

      Unfortunately I didn’t get out to much last year. Hopefully I can this year!

    I have an '03 Kodiak 450 (421). I'd really like to see a side by side comparison to the 400. I wonder if there's any noticable difference between the two.

      @rockspowersports  Рік тому +2

      @WhoDaBoss1302 As far as the engine I really don’t think there is too much of a difference. The 400 is a 401cc so they are very close in size. Now as far as other features the 450 has the 400 beat. The 450 has a digital speedo and the locking front differential.
      The owner of this 450 I’m rebuilding wants me to do a test drive video on this one so that will be coming soon. I don’t have any running 400’s at the moment though.

      @Skylar Dixon That is on my list of machines to buy. It’s just a matter of finding a decent deal on one.
      Glad your enjoying the videos!

    So funny my buddy just bought 2 poos one xcr one pro s and his clutch in the Pro s was sticking the bushing was no good only a thousand miles ..

      @rockspowersports  Рік тому

      @You are right This sled only has 950 miles and same thing the clutch was sticking. I replaced the bushing and it’s good now. Im guessing it’s probably from sitting.

    What’s some of the back story on that kodiak did it have a bunch of miles ?

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  Рік тому

      @Mack No it really didn’t have a ton of miles around 3000 I believe but, the owner admitted that he never changed the oil at all until just a few weeks ago then it started smoking after that.
      Those Kodiak’s are usually very tough machines if the proper maintenance is done on them.

    How do you rate that beavertail to your PRo cc 600

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  Рік тому

      @You are right I don’t have as much miles on this as my newer pro cc but so far honesty they ride pretty close to the same. The Indy 600 hooked up better due to the longer 129” track but the shorter pro s handles flatter in the corners.

      I wish I could help everyone with Handling issues it took me 3+ yrs to get my Indy 850 xc 137 to handle like it Does now,I can almost turn with one hand flat as can be and sticks like Glue!! And now I have shit trails! Hopefully we'll get some miles on by the end of the season 👍👍I have the hi lo shock's in front, 18 XCR 800 front track spring and those New trapezoid shaped torsion springs that come on the 2023 X2 models stock skis with 9.5 inch shapers and Woody's Navigators on the front of the skis....

      @rockspowersports  Рік тому

      @@youareright5431 That’s awesome! I did a lot of shock adjusting to the 129 Indy and got it handling a lot better than stock setup but I’m sure there was still some room for improvement.
