When the mount gets on all fours it moves faster. He slowed down the video so it's hard to see, but I thought that was pretty obvious. It looks like it has two modes of movement. Also for those that aren't excited that this is open world you have to realize that Monster Hunter is one of the very few games that fits an open-world theme better than anything else. That was always the intention behind Monster Hunter, now they can implement that.
I hope they have villages like the old games
I’d love to see villages like moga by the coast or poke up in the mountains that you could stumble into
I wonder if we can have more players in the lobby, maybe 5-8 considering the vastness and scale that we see. 2025 is our year fellow hunters
it'd be sick if we could form our own guilds and partner in and out of hunts quickly in a large 32 man guild with teams of 4-6. as far as multiplayer I feel MH could vastly improve upon.
To me this is no longer a lobby/session, but more like a host can create each world, so all 16 players can be in that same world, Just like guiding lands and hub combined but much much larger scale
the circle around the title look like ripple, plus the reflection of the "wilds", make me think there must be some water level in wilds

I understood the changing landscape as some kind of seasons mechanic. Maybe even just one large map, that changes and with different monster roaming the map, depending on the current state/season.
They mentioned that they want to put more emphasis on environments this time, and a plane as shown in the teaser would work in a lot of climates (Savanna, steppe, tundra, can easily turn to wetlands or deserts etc.)
I agree with you about the hub change giving the reason be able to carry multiple weapons that makes complete sense also removing the idea of a safe space. You would probably how to get the resources to be able to even from your own camp or carry enough to get you between towns.
I like to imagine there is no fast travel at the start, and you need to survive multiple in-game days to get to the next town, so you have to plan smart. camp out. gather food. etc. as far as the actual "gathering part" of MH, I think open world can expand it a lot. combat probably won't see much improvement outside of just a better engine giving you better visuals or density or more big spectacles. ofc, the main fun factor is # of monsters, so with a high count I'm sure combat will be fine and varied. IF there's a high count >.>
Something to point out the logo also has the number 6 as the bottom half of the big dragon
I’m one of those that was happy they got rid of Hot and Cold drinks. I would much rather there be dynamic environmental hazards like the lightning or sandstorms that we have to avoid. Micromanaging chugging a drink every ten minutes was dumb though.
Im hoping this takes place in the New world! The way they portrayed the new world made it seem like it was a completely undiscovered area environment untouched by man! Would love to discover deeper various parts of the new world and hoping for a vast ocean environment and underground environments!

I love this!! I have always dreamed of monster hunter being open world and being lively, filled with ambient wildlife and multiple large monsters etc. and the dynamic weather environment just takes the cake! From the looks of it i am hoping there will be a food chain mechanic where predatory monsters will activately hunt down prey animals but in a more "realistic fantasy" way. Turf wars you can interact with and varying turf wars depending on the monster's health, its so much i want to say!!
yah ecology and monster ai I assume is gonna go through the roof. just the way the dogbears moved and attacked the herbivores relentlessly as others fled. more realistic battles between things like tigrex and gammoth, other animals running in fear when an elder dragon swoops in the area. gonna be a crazy game to observe passively.
@@PWARGaming yes bro absolutely! It feels as though that's what capcom aimed for in world and iceborne but couldn't maybe because of limitations or time! But I truly hope that this game pushes monster to its limits and goes all out with the combat, monsters, monster behaviors and categories/species, weapons, environments etc!
All I want is Monster Hunter World with an open world… or at least much much bigger maps

As someone who is apart of the fiver generation, the hope for a more authentic hunting game is high. If we can camp in the wilderness and not have dedicated tent locations like in world would be amazing. I also hope we can carry two weapons and if that is the case, would speak to the possible scale that Capcom is looking to go for. Really glad they showed us something, but lowkey wish they didn't as 2025 is a long wait.
yah the waits gonna be agonizing T-T LEAST 15 months away...hopefully they provide a demo/beta like they did with world/Rise to hold us over few months earlier.
If the gameplay doesn't hit hard like world then i'll be sad, tried to get into rise and it just felt so floaty and unimpactful.. i'll always love monster hunter tri because that's where i started but world was a big step up in the right direction for the combat.

It's gonna be insane. Btw i don't think that is a Great Sword, it's too small, it looks more like a Longsword in a sheath.
But thats the point it doesnt have a sheath and thats a big part of longsword

I wouldn't mind if the hub areas were an open city world, then you travel to the open wilds? they will probably still have a hub area but i'm thinking they will have guiding lands from world but bigger in wilds.

How does everyone feel about the graphics
it's two years before it comes out so the graphics might be better by then. If it's on par with world on pc then it's good enough. I genuinely think the graphics add so much to the impact, the "oomph" of the hits and the reactions of the monsters, like anjanath doing his overdramatic backwards summersault when you hit his nose breathing out fire is so cinematic every time.
I do think it's ironic that you showed a Charlie clip at the beginning because his reaction to the reveal was super deadpan and disappointed lol
lol i seen xqc have an equal disinterest. but hey, perhaps thats what this games intended to do, change people minds and bring them on the MH train. after all, the general public always raves about "open world games". elder scrolls. fallout. starfield. elden ring. totk. genshin. gta. thats wilds target audience to convince.

It wouldn't be that bad would it? The maps in world have areas that imply they connect, like the forest area in the desert, and the gate to astera in the ancient forest, just imagine that but you can just walk through whenever you want instead of setting up an expedition.
I will say though, focusing on the environment is dangerous because at the end of the day, that stuff gets old, the core gameplay like the moves and attack animations are far more important.
So i wonder what monster hunter code name island 🏝️ was about.
Paradise? Good question. Could be a name shift. could be a mobile game. 2024 is still blank for MH, tho I don't think we'll get another "game" aside something like stories or mobile.

Kinda tired of game series losing their identity by switching to open world. (Botw+Totk, Elden Ring). Hope its not. Running out of game series I still enjoy
valid concern. Zelda...i mean yah what even is the series anymore. ER, the best moments were the bosses or smaller zones with 60% of the open junk being a bit boring. so yah, hope they handle the open world and repetitive/fun factor well, we'll see. it'll at least have a blue hair waifu cc option

They better bring them back. That’s the direction I wanna see, return to tradition with immersive gameplay, resource gathering, and feeling like you’re living the life of a hunter not just killing boss monsters

It's a fine line between resource gathering and micromanaging resources as well I think if they bring it back it needs to be improved a bit not just another item you have to have.
they could go so much more extreme than just item drinks as well, like having to set up fire to stay warm or needing special thermal clothing. in the desert water is scarce so you constantly have to be on the look out for a water source which could be miles from you and not just "zone 6", forcing you to plan your hunt course to take in mind your rations. it just depends how much they want to lean into the survivor aspect.
