I ask anyone to read all of Ezekiel 26-29 before they decide if the prophecy came true. According to Ezekiel 29: 17-21 god concedes his prediction failed, and he offers up Egypt in place of the city of Tyre
The prophecy did not fail. Babylon itself may have failed to destroy Tyre, but as the videographer said, the overall prophecy against Tyre was fulfilled in waves. Babylon came first weakening Tyre and driving the mainland inhabitants to the island, Alexander the Great followed and built the causeway to that Island, and the Mameluke Muslims eventually completed the destruction.
As the prophecy says, ancient Tyre was destroyed and it never again regained it's economic superpower status.
Prophecy fulfilled.
I read it, it doesnt say he conceded anything. He just says he gave Nebuchadnezzar Egypt as a reward
It says will never be built again so why is tyre still there today
What was destroyed in ancient times has not been rebuilt. That’s why we can go see all of the ruins. The passage also means that the city of Tyre ceased to exist as a monetary power.
Just because some people build something on top of where it used to be and give it the same name doesn’t mean that ancient Tyre would be rebuilt, as in being rebuilt to its former glory and status. It also said it would be a place for the spreading of fishing nets, which it is.

According to Ezekiel God himself conceded that he was wrong about his prophecy. God fully expected king Nebuchadnezzar to destroy Tyre.
@@Patriot218SNabukodonosor gave up after 13 years of siege. Ezekiel 29 begins with a prophecy against Egypt, which of course did not come true. Ezekiel 29:18 nether he or his army got anything from Tyre, God further promises him Egypt to take his gold to compensate for the attempt to conquer Tyre. I have to admit that this Israeli god has a sense of humor and gold is also a problem for him... He sends kings to battles and he own them gold 😅 He says he gives him Egypt because they worked for him and ran out of gold. Imagine that the god who created the universe and everything in it owes you gold. 🤣 And he gave you Egypt after 13 years of unsuccessful siege of Tyre. hahahaha Guys are you serious?

Given the prophecy and history, I don’t think I would want to live there, it’s a town rather than a walled city but still….
Tyre or Tyrus same place, Tyrus fall because ot was a city of PRIDE, it fell because its inhabitants failed to repent of their sins. Today we see modern day Tyrus, we all know which country fits this mold. God warned us to "Get out of her my people, lest ye partake of her sins so you will not receive any of her plauges". Rev 18/4

I got some atheist on UA-cam. That says this was never fulfilled. It seems like it was fulfilled exactly.

Ezekiel disagrees with you. In Ezekiel 29:17-20, written 15 years after the Tyre prophecy, he says “Nebuchadnezzar worked his army in hard labor against Tyre, but he received no wages for his army from Tyre on account of the work he performed against it…” In other words, the siege of Tyre failed, so the Babylonians were unable to plunder it. @@MMAGUY13
Ezekiel's prophecy failed spectacularly. This is the overwhelming consensus of mainstream OT scholars. Many of whom have Christian commitments.
…and in the text god admits that the prophecy failed.

Must be hard having to constantly revise what you believe to be absolutely true all the time. For that is the path of the soft sciences.
The key mistake you just made was the unwarranted use of “absolutely”, for that is something science never does. Instead, knowledge gained thru the scientific method is always conditional, which allows it to refine its teachings should new data come to light and to remain unchanged if it doesn’t. No, absolutism is actually the hallmark of religious dogmatism, which refuses to admit errors even when the evidence is pointing in the opposite direction. @@robertmoon1018
