What a great restoration on the Brinks truck Martin, 👍👍😎
Thanks very much Tom
Great work Martin 👍
Thanks very much my friend
Lovely restoration Martin, looks really well on the old magic, shame about the door, occasionally you seem to come across that kind of plastic that is difficult to glue, not sure what the reason is, those tyres are nice and as you say, suit it very well👍😊 Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Thanks nick ,yes that plastic was that horrible stuff very waxeie I might try moulding them in resin .
Can't be any worse .All the best Martin
Nice referb Martin . One thing that makes me laugh is when you see any archive footage of these cars being designed in the factory the impeccable work that goes into getting the scale perfect & then go bugga up the scale of the people or steering wheels #vintage cock up 😂. Good job as always 👍
Yes your right about that. With ,a lot of work at the design stage but letdown at the end
As a former Brink's Armored Car Driver and Asst. Branch Manager, I fully approve of this message! Well done 👍
Thanks very much it means a lot my friend

That looks a good strong sturdy casting Martin, it's a shame they put plastic doors on it instead of metal, however, you've done a great job on it. Thanks for sharing this with us, I'm looking forward to the next video. Best wishes. Peter.
Thanks very much Peter, yes it was a shame thay went cheap with the doors .glad you liked it my friend

Superb model and great job Martin!
Hi Phil thanks very much my friend
very nice restoration Martin shame about the way the doors are made but i think it came out great 👍👍👍
Thanks Neil yep going cheap that's why most of these have no doors on .
Top job Martin, as always a perfect transformation to new. If my memory is correct this model came with a crate of bullion the same as the "radioactive crate" supplied with the Spectrum maximum security vehicle.
All the best my foreign. Chris 🍻🇦🇺👍🏻🎯🏆🇦🇺🇦🇺👍🏻🎯🏆
Cheers Chris yes your memory is correct, but I couldn't afford all that gold 😂 all the best Martin

The GMC brinks truck is different and don’t see much of them , it has a lot of details & Looks very realistic, the ones that I have seen are red& black& some are white/ silver or blue / black, another diecast restored Martin , well done 👍 you take care my friend, looking forward to seeing your restorations. 👋😎🚒🚚🛺🚙🛻
Thanks very much Jeff, we don't see these over here ,but there's a few to look at on Google images so it wasn't to bad finding out about the extra details.
All the best Martin
Lovely job pal glad you liked the tyres
Thanks nigel yes love the tyres
Great job Martin ol buddy, cheers ✌️😎
Cheers Don 🍻
looking good Martin , very neat
Thanks Shane
Wow nice job mate in the voice of Michael Caine Your only supposed to pull the bloody doors off.😂😂 You really have a knack of bringing out the details on your resto's and those tyres are brilliant even have the tread. On my lap top the original colour looks white but it looks much better with the grey. So my mate said he was going on Britain has talent with his uncle. His uncle has only one leg, one arm and half of his face is missing. I asked him what song they were going to sing. He said they hadn't decided yet but it will be something from Simon and half uncle. 😂😂🤣🤣 keep smiling mate and I'll see you on the next one.👍🏻.
🤣🤣 like it , the tyres are not designed for those hubs but thay look good, I was going to use the Michael Caine line but forgot.
All the best Martin
nice. never seen one of those before. I almost thought it was a piggy bank like the matchbox one. :)
yes, those doors are surprisingly flimsical. they remind me of old plastic siku's doors and other movable parts, as well as Norev's plastic models. which also seem to warp over time, too...
anyway, nicely detailwork, too. ^^
Thanks Lothar, yes it's a shame about the plastic parts it's a very waxie feeling plastic, maybe a resin replacement might be the way to go .All the best Martin
It is my ambition to get one of those and the matchbox kingsize security van to go on the display with it. Loving your work
Thanks very much my friend, I hope you get them both .all the best Martin
Nice transformation Martin. Looks l
So this is what you carry the DMC tavener's cover charge money in. Cheers Michael I'll see you in the tavern for my cut
Yes definitely it's for pj s redundancy payout 🤣🤣🤣
Nice one Martin this was Gold. Best wishes from Ian b & the girls.
Cheers Ian ,glad you enjoyed this one all the best to you and the girls
Another master class 👍
Thanks Andy
I like how it turned out!
Thanks very much my friend
Can't decide whether that is a GMC base or a Dodge, like the Corgi Kew Fargo... but it turned out well and cleaned up nicely. Heavyweight thing, so good moneys-worth as a toy. Not one I ever had though, and I don't remember any variations. Always a pleasure to watch your detailing, though, Martin!
Thanks Fraser, yes dinky did to versions this one and a darker grey and different decals for a Mexican Bank. All the best Martin
Turned out pretty well Martin well done👍👍
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated
Have a couple of Jags chasing it! 👍

Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated
You were only supposed to pull the bloody door off!!! 😂😂
🤣🤣 yep I nearly did when the bugger broke .
🤗👍👌👏
Thanks very much my friend
@@martindaredareYou are welcome, dear Martin 🤝
what do you use to hold the small parts like doors and tailgates just started doing restorations been making 1;50 scale kits for awhile their a little diffrent no opening doors ,great blogs.thanks
Hi Paul, I use the small crocodile clips on a stick for the small parts and forceps/surgical clamps for the bigger parts .enjoy your restorations.
All the best Martin
thanksfor your help @@martindaredare
That plastic they used on some models is/was awful. Not sure what it is made from, but like you were saying it has a wax like quality to it almost also kind of rubbery! I would think that the paint would be easy to 'chip' off. I've seen it used on some other models. I had a quick look online and this truck did come with two crates of gold(?) ... Nice restoration.
Agreed its horrible stuff to work with ,it's a shame because it spoils it .and the hinges are rubbish
You were only supposed to BLOW THE BLOODY DOORS OFF!!! The number of times I've pulled a model apart thinking "bugger, thats going to need superglue now!"
🤣🤣 thanks very much my friend yep good old super glue 👍
😮😮😮😮🔥🔥🔥
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated
Can't get excited about this week's resto at all,Martin, sorry.
OK Terry no worries 👍
Looks fantastic Martin 😊
Thanks very much Charlie it's really appreciated my friend
