- For the first stop of my Interrail Erasmus, I headed to Madrid for the day. Whilst writing the journal entry in Retiro Park, I started thinking about what my Erasmus year in Madrid would've been like if it wasn't cancelled due to the pandemic. Was having one of those days (or years) where it felt like everything wasn't working out. I am usually a firm believer that I only need 'just enough light for the step I'm on'. However, today, I cant even see my feet let alone whats in front of me. You video was really touching and gave me a candle to keep going up the staircase :)
I absolutely loved this video. I just finished a semester abroad in Madrid, and had to move back to the US. I fit perfectly in madrid, so it’s been hard adjusting to a place that doesn’t really feel like home. But in this video you showed so many places that I adored when I lived there, and it makes me hopeful that I will find my good luck soon. Thank you for this 🤍

Hi Lucy, I have discovered your channel a few days ago, and I love the way you create your videos. I’m from madrid, and due to the pandemic and other things, I couldn’t go on Erasmus, what was my biggest goal in the university stage. Anyway, I hope next year I finally can go to live abroad, which is what I have always wanted, and that all of this wait was worth it. Saludos!

Wow a very interesting topic. I experienced a lot of these moments. Like when someone left me and I was sad about it but in the end it opened new opportunities for the people I know hanging out with. These bad luck good luck scenarios are more common than I thought. Thank you!
wonderful! I really can't describe how much that moves! It is true. When my first boyfriend cheated on me I thought it's a nightmare and such bad luck but this just made me who I am today so it was actually such good luck. When I got my current job I thought omg I'm so lucky that I found something but it really didn't fullfill me at all which turns out to be more of "bad luck". But I think it's a beautiful cycle. Bad luck turns to good luck which turns again into bad luck and out of that something new turns out :D

Well, bad luck for me that you didn't come to Madrid last year because I was there and I would have loved to meet you since I also make youtube videos. I am a 'beginner' I would say and your videos always inspire me!
BUT I was lucky because I was supposed to be in Madrid for the whole year, but due to the pandemic they cancelled only 1 semester and not the entire year. I think this was a good/bad luck situation also because this gave me the opportunity to be on Erasmus again in Germany (where I am now) and get to know a different culture, a very difficult language and also amazing people.
If in the next 2 months you plan to come to Germany, I would suggest you to come to Heidelberg! I am sure that you would love this little town and it would inspire amazing thoughts ;)
