The Chevrolet Master and Master Deluxe are American passenger vehicles manufactured by Chevrolet between 1933 and 1942 to replace the 1933 Eagle. It was the more expensive model in the Chevrolet range at this time, with the Mercury and Standard providing a cheaper and smaller range between 1933 and 1937. From 1940 a more expensive version based on the Master Deluxe was launched called the Special Deluxe. This was the last Chevrolet that was exported to Japan in knock down kits and assembled at the company's factory in Osaka, Japan before the factory was appropriated by the Imperial Japanese Government. When Toyota decided to develop their own sedan called the Toyota AA, a locally manufactured Master was disassembled and examined to determine how Toyota should engineer their own cars.
The Series CA Master replaced the 1933 Eagle midway through the model year when the 1933 Standard model (Series CC) was introduced. Several changes were made to the Eagle when the name was changed to Master. The easiest to identify is the post between the front door wing windows and the roll down windows. On the Eagle the chrome divider between these two windows goes down as the window goes down, where as on the Master this divider remains fixed and does not go down with the window.
1934 (Series DA)
1934 Master Sedan
The Series DA Master replaced the 1933 Eagle, with an increased wheelbase of 112 in (2,844.8 mm). This increased the difference with the cheaper Standard wheelbase to 5 in (127.0 mm). Powered by an upgraded version of the "Stovebolt Six", 206 cu in (3,380 cc) six-cylinder engine, now producing 80 hp (60 kW).
1935 (Series EA and ED)
1935 Master Sedan
The Master underwent a redesign, utilising a new "Turret Top" construction method.[3]
1936 (Series FA and FD)
1936 Chevrolet sedan
All Chevrolet took on an upgraded streamlined appearance as Chevrolet sought to take on a new and modern appearance called Art Deco.
1937 (Series GA and GB)
1937 Master Deluxe
A license-built Chevrolet Master Sedan built by Lilpop, Rau & Loewenstein in Poland (1936-1939)
The Master now replaced the lower priced Standard Six, while the higher equipment Master Deluxe edged the range upwards. The bodies were shared with the Pontiac Deluxe.
1938 (series HA and HB)
The Master (HB) and Master Deluxe (HA) sold well, with 162,430 and 302,728 respectively.[4]
1939 (series JA and JB)
1939 Master Deluxe Town Sedan
The Master returned for 1939. The Master Deluxe was now the JA, while the base model was renamed the Master 85 (JB). A station wagon was offered, though its construction had been contracted to Mid States Body Corp.[5]
1940 (series KA and KB)
The Master continued to be available in Master 85 (KB) as well as the more upscale "Master Deluxe" model (KA). The even better equipped "Special Deluxe" also appeared for the 1940 model year. - Авто та транспорт
Circle track racer. Grab some beer bring some buddies and lets go watch the races. A much easier time and so much fun. This model makes me think of those times.
I agree. Races on a Friday night a much simpler time with no smartphone phones and crazy politicians trying to take over the world
Thanks Vince!
Would loved to have seen and heard these kind of cars back in the day.
This makes me want to see his collection
Id love to see him build a handmade diorama for his kits, like a race shop, or an auto shop, or a show garage
Yes i would love to see some of his collection and how he displays them 👍👍👌
I built mine and I did it just like the box art, overall it was a very enjoyable build!
Thanks for the great builds, I have been able to tap into the young builder with your
straight forward builds. And Build it how you want!!! There is enough pressure in life.
Great to hear!
Just finished mine up very simple kit but what fun it was
Very cool! A 4 car high bank diorama would be sweet, may need to expand the man cave.
Thanks for stopping by!
awesome color combo.. I am definitely going to get back into building thanks
Another great build you have awesome skills. Love this series from mpc. Have a great weekend thanks for sharing Chris.
Thanks 👍
Love these modified kits ran late model dirt cars in ky for years can relate to these cars sweet build love it waiting on the next one you do great work
Thanks 👍
My buddy got me back into modeling after a 25 year hiatus. How some things have changed. The last models I built were of my Dads race cars he ran at the local track. I got 3 more to finish his set. Then onto this one that another local racer drove. Thanks for sharing. Love all the build reviews.
Thanks, enjoy!
Fantastic. Great choices in color and finishes. A day without testors silver is a day without......Thanks for the effort!
Thanks for watching!
Great build of a neat simple model. Keep up the great work.
Thanks, will do!
Nice video Chris............. Those Modifieds are always fun to build. You can do so much with them! 👍👍🏁🏁
You got that right!
Awesome video. Thank you. I think I’ll go pick up that kit!
Thanks for stopping by!
Another great build! That’s a great looking race car!
Thanks for stopping by!

Right on!
What a good looking race car. Great work!
Thanks for stopping by!
Great review. Looks awesome love the color. Thanks for sharing Chris.
Thanks for watching!
You got me back into model building. I built the ‘Vega Rat Trap’ version. Didn’t turn out as good as yours. This is the first model I built in 40years. Mine looks like it was in a real bump and grind race. Lots of fun though. Took my mind off the virus.
Thanks for stopping by! Keep having fun!
Look awsome on box art too
Love it, love it. Excellent stuff. Super cool color. Great video.
Thank you! Cheers!
I wouldn't think that metallic dark cherry would look nice on a model car body. Boy, was I wrong. I've built the '34 Ford Slammer some odd years ago. I keep forgetting to get pictures of it to show on the Facebook page. I painted it up in John Deere colors just because LOL.
Another lovely build.
Thanks Mark!
Nice as always Chris like the color scheme keep those models coming cant wait for more lol thank you for sharing
Thanks, will do!
Love Your Work Perfect Job on Your Builds 👍👍
Glad you like them!
Awesome kit .
Cool paint and build .
SOO KOOOOOLLLL .
Glad you like it!
Always loved the open wheel modifieds!! Kool build!!
Thanks 👍
@@hpiguy you’re welcome!
I had just bought this kit at Hobby Lobby and I can only hope mine looks half as good as yours does. I like the fine point gel pens you are using. I paused the vid and took pictures of them so I will have some soon. The Primsmacolor Premier Silver made the gauges look awesome. I watch all your videos and learn a little bit more every day. Thanks for making the vids and posting them.
Wonderful!
Great build Chris love the color combination 👍👍
Glad you like it!
Great job. Love it at 28:43 ! "He runs it a little rich...backfires a little bit."
Thanks, much appreciated!
Another kool 1 always here for these
Thanks for stopping by!
I can dig it bud! Nice build as always! 👍👍✌🏻
Right on!

Thanks for stopping by!
Definitely be hunting for this kit
Thanks for stopping by!
thanx Chris , luv this one.....Rock onnn then
Robert
Thanks for stopping by!
Fantastic , my man ! Those headers alone may be worth a purchase ( I'd use 'em on the AMT 1963 Chevy II Wagon along with the L-79 from the 1966 Nova Hardtop ) .
Love that Cherry Red paint !
Right on!
The color you put on this car is way better than the orange they choose for the box! Quite awesome build. Not my cup of tea, I'm into passenger car, but I can see this is a nice kit indeed.
Thanks!
Beautiful job mate👍
Thank you! Cheers!
This was a very great build that you did
Thanks for stopping by!
Love how much you enjoy building these kits great job again!!
Thanks again!
awesome as always
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice one!! This kit will go great on the Racers Wedge pickup 😁
Ive started the 34 to go on a differant lorry.
I think so too!
Looks like all those 90s Amt Pro Street kits just got a massive injection of tire upgrade.....🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘❤
Enjoy!
Might have to try one
Thanks for stopping by!
Another awesome one
Thanks for the visit!
Nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
Really nice
Thank you! Cheers!
Love this build keep them comming
Thanks!
Wish they'd put the treaded tires in the modified stockers kits all the have in those are slicks but the choice would be great BTW another awesome kit
That would be cool
Like to watch.your builds you make it look so easy for me not so much
It came out really nice man
Thanks!
We don’t really race cars on dirt tracks we race dirt bikes on dirt tracks
You know you’re the first UA-cam or that responded to me right
Did not mean to put or
I was gonna buy 72 chevy truck, think I'll grab this kit instead. thanks for the review Chris
Thanks for stopping by!
Can we see all of this series of kits together? Set them up like they’re racing or something?
You can see every episode on the channel home page.
I won't be setting these up for pics just to play with them, no. Sorry man.
another great build, turned out awesome, i dont think the cover is off that rear diff, thats a quick change rear end
Thanks 👍
1936 meets 427 = Track Racer
BTW - nice build
Thanks for stopping by!
Always look forward to another build.
Thank you!
Perfect "load" for "Racers Wedge! By 70's pre-war "tin" was increasingly scarce with '60's and 70's compacts becoming most common- so Chevy II or gen 1 Camaro for a "kit-bash" maybe?
Great build, Chris. You paint better with that ratty old brush than I can with a fine pointed one. But, oh no! You used Rustoleum paint! Rustoleum and styrene are a toxic combination. Why, I painted a model with it about 30 years ago, and I have to check it every day to make sure that it hasn’t exploded or melted into a ball.
LOL, yeah, we'll just let those guys rant and be angry about everything and we'll keep having fun making models.
Awesome, man that reminds me one race car I had like to do. Reino Tulonen go google it, "RATA AUKI" literally means " get out my track"
Thanks for stopping by!
Love the way you painted the details, especially the shocks! Superb as always.
Thank you so much 😀
Need to see some dirt latemodel in extreme detail 🤔
Nice job as always... 👍 looking the car on the turntable, the body looks a bit off... the front a bit high with respect the bulkhead ☺️
Thanks 👍
I think I am going to buy that kit just for the body. It's what I am looking for to use on a fuel altered I am building.
Enjoy!
Would love to see a display of all your built kits. Theres gotta be hundreds of em. We've seen a bit of your stash of unbuilt stuff, how about the other side and show off how you display all your built kits (if in fact you have them displayed)
Most get stored, some get given away. Thanks!
I have that in a Slot Car Model. Looks like another model to buy and build.
Thanks for stopping by!
@@hpiguy Always a pleasure.
Whats the wheel base on that chassis? I like the tires also wish I could buy a few sets.
So for your next build can you do the amt ford c900 tilt cab with trailer?
C600*
would like seeing a kit like this made to look like a car from Mad Max
Cannot find the rustoleum red you used??
Did you sand parts before putting together?
So I bought a Dehydrator, how long and at what temp do you usually use? Another good build. 👍
100 seems to work for me. Time depends on when you notice it's dry enough to work on.
@@hpiguy Thanks.
🤩🤩🤩
Thanks!
What can you tell me about rattle can paint that does not say it is ok for plastic? I mean can some be used on plastic? Would using it over primer work?
As long as you lay primer you should be fine.
There are some strong lacquers, like real car paints, that will destroy plastic if applied.
Just wanted to let you know that I've been spreading your tip around about using Mod Podge . it is spreading like wild fire and I'm referring everyone to your channel that comments about the tip
Cool, thanks for sharing the fun!
Not a problem and that was supposed to say it's spreading like wildfire because we all know all fire is hot LOL Have a good day sir!
When you spray the tree do u not loose part of the colour when u snip them off the tree??
Just touch up any areas that are visible.
What kind of an adapter do you use on your drill to do your tires
A socket adapter. Very common.
There is an error. 427 big block valve covers have 3 bolts on top and 4 bolts on the bottom not 2 and 2 (see 19:20) like the small block valve covers. Headers are correct.
What is Black Wash when you say that please??
👍👍👍👍👍🚗
Thanks!
I’d like to see all in the series together
at the same time.
Open four tabs and play the at the same time!! LOL Enjoy!
where do you get the tables that you paint with
modelroundup.com search for paint stand
@@hpiguy thank you man, great work by the way!
What is the Colours number for reference please??
Were you aware that Round-Two has been sold?
Yes, I saw the press release. Best of the future to them!
Paraphrase of H. Ford = "It doesn't matter if you're an optimist or a pessimist - you'll always be right!" More $$$ = more tooling, maybe?
They left out 1 main thing i had to rob out of another kit was the radiator hose
Missing Rad hose? Easy fix is use some suitable dia. solder - smooth for rubber w/paint or if texturedjust leave silver with transparent red or blue for quick connect fittings...
Now, this is just a question, ok? But why when the pieces are already molded in WHITE, why do you paint them WHITE anyway,? They're already white. Seems like a waste of white paint that could of been used somewhere else more deserving. Just my opiníon. Nothing personal. Great videos sir,👍👍👍👍
Unpainted white plastic will look translucent in person and it also yellows over time in many cases (not always).
Nice kit. Like all car kits, it needs a driver figure. No reason not to have one.
Thanks for stopping by!
