      @ because ppl bringing you food to your house is a premium service? Delivery drivers are paying their own gas car payment insurance and risking an accident to bring food to the comfort of your own home. If you don’t want to tip get the food yourself!

      @@KTownTomek not to be straight forward but it's not Europe, it's a completely different culture. I don't necessarily agree with it but tipping is part of the American economy/culture. Technically a tip isn't legally required, but socially expected. If you don't have enough money to tip, you don't have money to eat out (in America).

    The driver should have simply turned down the call because the tip is listed before the driver accepts or turns down the call. He could have refused the call and waited for the next offer.

      So based on what i read online it says this
      “Yes, DoorDash allows customers to adjust or add a tip to a completed order within 30 days by contacting support. Customers can also receive refunds for tips, fees, or the original order value on eligible orders. Refunds are applied to the customer's next invoice”
      So there’s an extra step for customers . It says it can’t be done in the app .
      I think the loophole to faster service may be that they tip a lot , then receive the food and request refund .

      @moomama217 I don't see any sense in that being the customers fault though. That's between the worker and the company and as far as it seems, the company cheaps out, excessively drip prices the products they have and get their workers to turn on their customers so neither of them are encouraged to look towards them as the real root of the issue. That's the dystopian part for me

    Honestly, I think the "service industry" has become overly entitled. As a customer, I fail to understand haw I can fairly evaluate the quality of a service performed before the service even begins. Let's not forget that a standard tip for excellent service used to be 10%, now 20% or more is demanded for any service.
    If you want a tip, try earning it with quality service.

      We both know as a customer they can give you outstanding service and you're not leaving one. We all know you're going to think you got your stuff and it sucks to be the driver. If you were in a restaurant type setting you would be 100% right. But the fact that you didn't have to get up off your couch is a service for you. That's a fact. As for the driver If you can see a tip on there then pick it up, but if you can see there isn't one then let it sit there. Either they will get their lazy self off the couch and go get their stuff wont but that will be their fault. If you're a driver stop messing with those orders

    Go get your own food. DoorDash only pays the driver 2 dollars to deliver orders. Dashers are working for money. Not as a charity service. DoorDash is a luxury. If you can’t afford the luxury then don’t use their service. Agree dasher should have not destroyed the order. However this is why u wait 2 hours to get your order bc dashers don’t want to loose money driving your order to you, so they decline the offer. Next time maybe just take the wife out to breakfast. It’d be cheaper than ordering door dash and paying the fees that door dash ceo pockets. Respect the time of your driver.

      @baseygraines Місяць тому

      @Mysdia It's such a basic thing to do and the most logical thing to do that it's most likely what people this day won't do. Calling the police is what someone would do because people can't just be simple this day in age and let a person be angry. They gotta post a video over literally spilled coffee and some change. It just furthers the issue, doesn't resolve it. Just makes people take sides and suggest things like calling police rather than just doing what is really needed and being ordinary people to one another. Y'all forget, that dude had to wait for that food to get made for 2 hours too. He didn't make no money either, he lost two hours worth of pay waiting on coffee so he wouldn't get a bad review and now he's getting both. Shitty deal for delivery guy, he's the only one making out like shit. Not the customer, not the business, not the delivery service, just the driver. Just because he's mad, everybody blames him. Seems to me, the delivery system doesn't work that well.
