Looking awesome Oneill! Can't wait to see that baby ripping up the sky. Should be crazy with the power system you got in it. Best of luck with the maiden! keep up the great work! Paul
i put that same turnigy motor with the same amount of cells on 3 small planes and only one was able to tame the power, so good luck with your very different looking build. nice to see something original looking.
@RCJETJUNKIE The Quantum Leap looks Awesome!!! Just so you know my FunJet weighed in at just over 2.5 lb so your about a half pound lighter. Hope you're ready for some serious speed cause this should get you well into the triple digit club, lol! Can't wait to see the maiden flight! Frank
@RCJETJUNKIE No worries brother, you are going to smash 100mph like Frank said. I also used that motor setup on the Supernova with a 7x9 sport prop and went 143mph! So as long as the plane holds together at warp speed, lol, you should for sure be in the Triple Digit Club and have your bragging rights! Looking forward to seeing it Oneill! Best of luck! Keep up the great work. Paul
@rcFoamFighters--Thanks Frank that’s good to know I order that motor the same day I seen your funjet video last summer but I was just starting to get into RC planes at the time I was using A 2 cells with a micro jet motor and that was hard to control so when I opened that box and seen the size of that motor I was like yeah right I will never put this on a plane R U crazzzy but here I am with a 5 cell and ready to get my triple digit bragging rights Thanks for the inspiration and a cool hobby.
@ernshengjoel --Thanks but I don’t have no plans this was a scratch build I just start with an idea in my head and start cutting foam. I have turbocad to make the plans but have no idea how to work it but trying to figure it out ,but by the time i do figuer it out this ship will be space junk sorry.
@RCJETJUNKIE that's a shame the nose got all crunched up. i like how you shaped the foam board on this one. lots of curves. maybe next time, your test planes won't looks so dressed up until you know for sure it can fly- lol! good luck on the re-maiden
@BRANDORC --Thanks brandonrc this is a pretty large ship it’s 33x34 inches and weights 2 pounds with the batter hopefully the size and weight will help me tame the power of the motor I know its gona take away from speed but be happy just to see it fly good..You need to start posting new videos it’s been a year since you last video let us see what you’re working on
@rcFoamFighters-- Thanks Paul I don’t think I’ll get it to go as fast as franks funjet but still trying to make that 100mpa mark I did a Doppler radar speed test on that SU-37 and the top speed was 92mpa just 8 more mpa to go.
@shorvath77 --It’s the same motor frank from rcfoamfighters put in his funjet it’s a turnigy 3648-1450 it’s rated at 1600watts he got his plane to go over 140mph...not saying this will go that fast but looking to get up to 100mph
@1980vince --Guess what buddy theirs no such thigh as aliens or space ships and this toy is going to be the closes thing you’ll ever see to one flying around so enjoy thanks,
@wildhover --I did yesterday and it was not a good day my guess point for the CG was way off and couldn’t get it to fly right I had the battery all the way in the nose to start with by the time I did 10 or so tosses and was moving the batter to try to get the CG right the battery was in the middle of the plane. And the front got all crunched up do to all the nose dives it was taking and busted the motor mount but not giving up doing repairs a follow up video and a new ship after i get CG
Awesome teaser! looking forwardto the flight
