The bridge was built in 1831, replacing the old one which was built in 1209. The city of London decided to offer it for sale and it was bought in 1968 by an oil businessman. Each stone and piece was removed and marked and made its way to Havasu where it was put back together, after some repairs, and opened in in 1971. It does have steel support and such behind the stonework for structural purposes. Most people think the London bridge is the "famous" one, but that is actually called the Tower Bridge. Just some cool info on how it got there in case anyone was wondering.
Been there done that twice 😮 My first 35mm was a Pentax K 1000, loved it. I also developed my own black and white film. PS. Trying to break the window with the butt of a 38 snub wasn’t the way to go for me. 😂
It always seems like a good idea at the time, right? If you are left with no choice but to break a window to get into your vehicle, do the windshield. It is far cheaper in price and install to replace it than any other window of your vehicle.
Losing or locking my keys in when traveling is a big fear of mine. So, I have worn a key around my neck, had my daughter wear a key when she was with me, and have hidden a key in one of those key boxes you attach to the inside of the wheel well.
Curious- do you have a glasspack? I would look into something that might help "muffle" the roar of your truck. It's pretty loud, especially on a desktop with stereo speakers. :)
We enjoy your videos thanks for taking us along. I do have a question. Why do people go to Quartzside, Az in the winter? I looked on the map and it still gets cold there. My bones need warmth.
Yes, it can get cold... at night. During the day, people will be running around in shorts. Once the sun goes down, it will cool rapidly. You develop a routine, Usually, you get inside, close your rig, enjoy a few hours of warmth from the baked rig, get in bed, snuggle up, stay warm, and read a book or binge watch a show or two. Free camping for two weeks where then you pick up, pack up, and move 28 miles to another location just to be legal. We do it again and again... or just buy a long-term visitor pass. When from a place where it snows, anything over 40 degrees is warm. During my time there, it only went down to the mid 40s once. I hope this helps.
I rely on closed captioning also. Just FYI, many times the closed captioning doesn't kick in until later or the next day...a YT thingy, I was told. If I save the video for later and I go back the next day, the CC will be working. It happens pretty often for me.
Really? That was your day ending badly? How would you handle totalling your rig? Falling & breaking your right leg or arm? Having a stroke or heart attack? Being told you had cancer? Or 6 months to live? But no, it's locking your keys in your vehicle? V livers are such drama queens. How do you get up out of bed in the morning? Let alone through life? 🙄🤢🤮 Same boring v liver content. You were more interresting when you were working.

All these yrs. I've been to Quartzsite, I've never seen this wonder in the desert, till now. Thanx
Pretty neat. I suck as a tour guild...lol. I just thought it was a little oddly out of place in the middle of a desert city. Thank you.
Funny what one can find out here.
@@getlostmike The lamppost you touched had been Napoleon's cannons, captured at Waterloo and repurposed victoriously as lampposts:)

If it wasn't for bad days, we wouldn't know how great good days can be!🤪😁💯
Very true. What sucks at the moment brings lessons to be heeded.
@@getlostmike Definitely!👌✨️💯
lol ~ I’ve had more than one Chevy that somehow auto locked my keys in more than once. 🙄
Annoying, but easily fixed.😅
Now I’m super careful ~ always!❤

Thanks for watching. That is some serious key management! 😆 Your day WILL NOT be ruined by some dumb lockout, that's for sure!
The first 35mm I ever owned was an ASAHI PENTAX just like that one.
Check the battery compartment. Sometimes batteries leak from age.
Good tip, I'll check it out! Thank you.
Been there, done that more than once. One time one of my kids locked us out of our Surburban, lol.
Ah... the stories about that probably gets them everytime! 😆
We had an american eski lock us out of a semi It was interesting explaining to. A receiver.lol@@getlostmike
I’m sorry you had a rough day. I hope today is better.
Oh, just you wait... 😊
Not a big deal! Just call AAA or your towing company and they open it for you. Done so several times 😅. Lesson: Have extra keys 🔑
I’m jealous it looks warm I’m 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
Travel south young one, travel south! 😆

I think I have a hole in my muffler. I will reduce it's noise in future videos. Thank you.
That’s OMG. The “I” is right next to the “O” and my ancient fingers hit the wrong keys. A lot. 😆
You were in my neck of the woods! Love the desert!
I was just trying to find that "Oasis" you guys speak of. 😆
@ the Colorado River!!!
@keddy5627 Oh, yeah! I drove in via Boulder Beach of Lake Mead entrance.

I have to use captions , they are not up on this video.

@@getlostmike Always a nice guy! Thank you. It really matters, ya know.
I have those same shears
Not something you see very often every day.
@getlostmike 😂
Great video
Thank you.
Can't hear most of it.
I’m new to your channel. Are you in a van or truck with camper shell?
A 1994 Chevy Suburban. 👍

Wow! Oxygen thief! To think you wasted all your time spouting off making yourself sound like a huge DA
Hmmm, it sounds like your channel would be so much more fun.
IMG I’ve done that!!! I feel terrible for you that’s an awful realization. Things will get better and you will never do that again. 🫤
Just wait till the next video...
