A lot of guys pull a Chevy Astro Van brake master out of the junkyard for hydroboost brakes. Just tap into the power steering lines. Gives you power brakes without having to rely on vacuum, which is probably pretty low for you with that big cam of yours.
Summit racing has a 4 wheel disc proportioning valve. Part number sum-760185 and a master cylinder for 4 wheel disc raybestos agb-mc390572. Might wanna check them out getting ready to put project 6.0SS in garage for winter time 1st mod is 4 wheel disc and then clean up the wire harness. I'll be watching to see the progress.
Paused at :43... I JUST did a 13" DD tuffStuff.. godci hope you had a pass thru wrench. Lol. I did NOT and that top right bolt about had ne playing with Oxy/Acet lol. Excited to see the process as I'm aware it's already for for ya but thanks for the video. OK I'll go watch it now haha. But whoever at gm designed everything cab side of our trucks had a wicked sense of humor
You could make a S bracket that mounts to the brake master cylinder stud (either one) then snakes out to the pushrod with a hole drilled through it for the pushrod to pass through (so the pushrod is supported at both ends.
I used to daily the truck back in 98-2000 and by luck 1 day found that the rear shoes wasn’t even on it So after I got my swap done this winter I just blocked them off at the master cyl instead of rebuilding the 7.5” rear brakes and it hasn’t even been noticeable lol
@@LsBluu I should have clarified. I was meaning the push rods location. But I do hope it works out well for you. Always nice to find ways to save some cash!
What's good bro my question is I have a 4 gen 5.3ls out of a 2010 Silverado putting it in a 1997 s10 pickup but I want to go carburetor now I've heard I will not be able to use the 6 speed tranny from the 2010 do you have any suggestions I need your help thanks
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use it if you got something to control the transmission. Since you're going carb, you won't need a computer. The computer is what controls the trans. If you stay fuel injection, I highly highly recommend getting the Terminator X Maxx. It might be a little chunk of change, but the quality and ease of installation is incredible. The Maxx version has built in transmission control.
@LsBluu Racing so I can use the computer from the 2010 on the s10 even if I go carburetor and the Trans also sorry to be a bother bro my first time doing this just wanna get it right on the first
Also during my build, paypal "pay I'm 4" has become my friend. 180? Pshh 45 every two weeks more like it lol. Probably becomes I have at least 6 or 7 "pshh 50$s rn" and I wnd up with payments 3x a week forever. But if you're smarter than me! It's a good option to have without using credit (which I refuse to use on my truck EVER)
I understand the budget I do some that my self but if you have ever lost your break pedal over 100 mph in 1/8 that is one thang I wouldn't skimp out on u really need the plate and the adjustable rod uand u can make both him joint all thread an piece of aluminum and you could have used your stock master cylinder bolted it straight to firewall.
4:46- Gesundheit! Lol I'd say God bless you, but ya know..IM NOT THE LORD. ALSO, I was hoping it wasn't gonna xplode on ya. I work a dealer so if we have brake chamber issues/ we replace. Too sketchy rebuilding/mot worth our time

I used the Motion kit in my truck. It raises the master a bit higher to get a proper pedal ratio. You might have a really firm pedal.
I moved it up some too

I'm kinda suprised there is not a GM master cyl off an older truck or Nova model that might work better with the GM pushrod.
Is the intake setup that you have can you tell a big difference in horsepower compared to the start system
I did the manual conversion on my s10 a few months back and you’re making my back hurt by just watching you lay underneath the dash.
I just used a manual break setup from an s10 with manual breaks chip an easy

You don’t think the bore of stock wouldn’t be sized properly being manufactured for a boosted brake application!?
What pushrod did you end up using!!!?
Modified the stock one
Soo how does it feel, just asking....
Stiff, but work a lot better.
@@LsBluu cool thanks man, my daily 92 sonoma needs a new booster and you gave me all I needed, I appreciate it!
What rim backspace are you running on the rear?
I believe it is 4.5.
You didn’t have abs before?
It had abs with the 4.3. I deleted it when I originally swapped.
@@LsBluu is your abs light on the dash lit up?

Don't do it there is an alternative direct fit Malibu Booster 1997 to 2003
I heard that a 99 Malibu brake booster works
Keep it up. #NAME? *Promo sm*!
