JSN played in a run heavy offense that featured both dk metcalf and Tyler Locket which everyone knows, but many outside Seattle don’t know that he broke his arm last week of preseason, had surgery, and never missed a game. Literally played the first six weeks in a cast at RECEIVER. It was a pretty encouraging rookie season in my opinion.
Dont forget JSN injured his hand in preseason and so his first 4 nfl games were abysmal and you could see his numbers start the same time his hand got better.
he also wasnt used properly he was rarely thrown to over the middle since we didnt run many routes over the middle because pete was scared of turnovers. he will take a big jump this year with grubb calling plays.
Finally someone with a good take on Jack Campbell. You can tell he’s truly a physical presence and has massive upside. With the split playing time, they also had him playing at the Will and Sam spots primarily. When he was given full reigns of the Mike during the saints game, he had his best performance of the season.
Jack Campbell was pretty good. He got fewer snaps because the Lions are very deep at LB and could afford to bring him along slowly. That said, he is huge, he is mobile, and a very smart player. He studies film for a hobby. He will be a force for the next decade with the Lions. That said, out of the Lions first 4 picks,Gibb, Campbell, LaPorta, and Branch, he had the worst season. If that is the case, the Lions have some players! A strong draft class for sure.
As a Hawks fan, I am soo glad we got JSN. a C+ is very low. You provided very little context, didnt mention him starting the year hurt, nor that our OLine got hurt early, leading to us using 3 TE sets, the fact that we wanted to be a running team and the abysmal playcalling by Waldron.
Mazi also was weak this year BECAUSE he was made to lose weight before the season. dropped down to like 280s when he played closer to 320s/330 in college. If he builds strength back as he gains weight he'll be worth it
A baffling move for them too as I thought he was supposed to be a nose tackle to strong man stuff the run, something that they obviously needed in 48-16.
He looked overweight and he took off plays bc of it. Footwork left a lot to be desired. He was a 3rd rder imo not surprised the team that took him in the 1st was Dallas lol

Kincaid didn't have a lot of touchdowns but he was like top 5 in rookie TE receptions and set the bills record for that stat. He's been pretty good once they started using him more after Brady took over. Future is bright there.
Im happy with Jack Campbell. He didn't make the splash of Gibbs, branch and Laporta. But part of that was how big a step linebacker Derrick Barnes took in his third year. Campbell really looked like he was improving every game. And hes the kind of player who can be your rock solid veteran starter with the green dot for 10 or more years

Im once again asking to get rid of Incomplete grades. If a player improves next year then you can just update the grade when you make the next video. All first round picks could be consider incomplete since it’s only one year but we want to see how they performed
Fair point that every pick is technically incomplete, but I do think it’s just outright unfair to grade someone like uzomah who barely saw an field time throughout the year. I mean guys like addison and flowers were starting almost every week
I am curious for your thoughts on one moving forward. 2022 is coming up and Kenyon Green (#15 overall) had a bad rookie year and missed his entire second season due to injury. What grade should that be? No hate either I am genuinely curious and I understand where you're coming from
Packers had one of the best drafts last year. In a redraft based on production 3 of their players were taken in the first round and 5 in the first 2 rounds.
Flowers made some huge mistakes in their playoff game that got the Ravens eliminated. Not impressive and the unsportsmanlike cost them a chance to win.
Quite literally everyone on the jags o-line was terrible at run blocking, Anyon in his first year was still the jags 2nd best lineman last year behind cam Robinson
As a Vikings fan, Addison is only a B+ a lot of his yards and TD’s came on broken plays. He disappeared at times. And he had 9 games being the #1 WR in our offense. With JJ getting hurt in KC game, missing 7 games, then leaving in the 1st quarter of Vegas game. Yet we had the #6 passing offense. Struggled creating separation and catching balls in traffic. He’s a great #3 WR but didn’t elevate to a WR2 type of player despite plenty of time to do so.
Remember when all of the "experts" were sh!tting all over Detroit for taking Campbell and Gibbs while lauding Green Bay for using their first pick on Shea McClellin 2.0? Even as a Chicago Bears fan I have a real appreciation for the job that Dan Campbell is doing up in Detroit. Detroit has been doing all of the things and hiring all of the right people while my Bears still can't figure out if Justin Fields is a bust after 3 crummy seasons.
As bad as the Patriots' offense is, Gonzales was a great pick and they have a playoff-level defense. When you are losing games and only allowing your opponent to score 10 or fewer points, there isn't much more you can ask of the D.
I’m liking your videos but just a couple notes: JJ was out for a lot of games and JA filled in well as a WR1. He didn’t need JJ to perform. They had to force feed him the ball because Keenan was doubled but even then he dropped almost everything. His stats may look better but he did not improve.
