the hanged man really disturbed me. not so much the idea of a hanged person, but more the fact that his legs were disturbingly long... like... much, much too long for someone that could concievably walk through that door.

This game reminds me of Coraline, with the yellow rain jacket and going through that tiny tunnel at the beginning.

maybe that's what happened to Georgie, he's floating (on a boat in limbo) with the dead lights eyes stripping away his soul.

Manly, I really hate to spoil this because part of me wants to adore this game for what's there... But, I feel obligated to say this.
This game is too fucking short.
I waited on this thing for years with really high hopes, and if you complete the game (assuming you don't die, and it's not particularly difficult) efficiently, it's only an hour and thirty minutes long.
What's more, there's only 30 minutes of relatively new gameplay because everything in the first hour was already spoiled for us in the teasers and promotional material.
And not that I need to tell you this, but this game has a retail price of 35$.
It's cheaper if you get it elsewhere like Steam, but I can't overlook the fact that games like Limbo had four times the length, more replay value, a better (Although more subtly) explained plot, and still managed to be cheaper.
In the end, what we got was a good game, don't get me wrong, but be warned:
This thing is criminally short for something with such a price tag and was anticipated for a few years.

You are my new hero, ManlyBadassHero. Desperately I looked for LP of this game with a non-screaming, non-constantly talking narrator and found you and this is just perfect.

I really love the design of this game, with the subtle things like “why is there a camera that watches over the children’s beds” and “why does that bed that flips out have straps on it”

The way that the character is animated and the level design just screams "inside" and "limbo", i was actually amazed when i looked up the producers and they were different companies.

Aside from the controls seeming to have preference towards controllers, this seems rather good so far. Precious little story, but good setting and they're showing off how bleak it all is without dialogue. The little friendly guys in hats worry me though, as I'm wondering if this has multiple endings and it's a situation where you only get the good ending if you find them all.
Came here from little nightmares 2 to rewatch and at 4:12, the chair looks like the one that Thin Man is sitting along with that door. Not to mention the man who hunged himself is pretty long and thin, don't know if it's Thin Man himself or just a coincidence.
you know it does take place after ln2 because six has her coat. a theory of mine,
"Mono was probably angered and sad because of Six's betrayal. Instead of fulfilling the last thin mans purpose, he instead travels elsewhere, depressed. he goes onto a boat, and when on finds a likely empty room. He ties a noose and hangs himself, thus preventing another Little nightmares 2.
The entirety of little nightmares 2 is irrelevant if this happened. Although, it is still playable because we arent the concurrent thin man."

That's one very hungry little girl wearing a very cute slicker & Sou'Wester hat. It looks like she's on a ship with gnomes, leeches, & a strange lady. I wonder who she is... for that matter, I wonder who the little girl is. The only thing I know from following the game is that her name is Six. I also know I love the art style. This looks like one very macabre game. Goody!

Rewatching this after watching manly for so long he sounds like he has alot more emotion then newer content. Its not bad just uncanny after seeing the newer stuff for so long. Idk anyone else has noticed.

honestly this game reminds me a bit of INSIDE in terms of you just kinda... wake up with no direction and are on the move in a grimdark kinda platform game where you're small and basically defenseless but can bounce around and move stuff to solve puzzles. Heck its similar enough I actually had to check the steam page to see if it was by the same dev (which seems to be a no).
But yeah gameplay is all they seem to share in common, the narrative for both are vastly different. I look forward to seeing where Little Nightmare goes with its world and ideas.

Little Nightmares reminds me a bit of the Coraline video game based on the movie, mixed with American McGee's Alice. It also reminds me of Nightmare Ned with 3D graphics and a gender-ambiguous protagonist. It is mainly exploration based, rather than combat based, in terms of gameplay which I like and you solve challenges to bring down intimidating bosses,
I love games like this! Everything looks so big and incriminating. It's great
Coming back to this after watching Manly play through little nightmares II. Finding the long legged hanged man and chair at 3:55 ish.... is that mono/slender tv man?? Because not everyone can pull off that slendey suited leg look, plus that chair is so similar! Sad end for mono regardless :(

I wonder if this ties into the theories of time loops. Mono opens the door to the tall man, destroys the tall man, becomes he tall man. Grabs six where she becomes that monster.
Maybe it's to prevent six becoming the next 'lady'? Knowing of her fate to be a selfish greedy child until the end?
Maybe because there is no way to stop it the tall man simply ends it to break that loop.
So many questions!! Love horror games with really interpretive lore :)

This reminds me of inside like a lot. Especially because of the light scene where you had to hide from the light.
Reminds me of a not so friendly world of Spirited Away, where children are eaten and giant monsters rule the earth. Plus, no nice dragons to help our young heroine.
This looks really good, this is shaping up to be a good (hopefully long) adventure

I don't think this yellow hood is super tiny because they did not need to hoist themselves up the stairs and the dumpster is only a little bigger than they are.
In relation to the fridge, the suitcase, the toilets, and the sink, I think (s)he's around a foot tall.
