Thank The Flood Light Show for this INFORMATIVE video. I love it when you demonstrate how bright this light is at 30% power level. As of today, July 27th, 2024, out of two Amaran 100xS video reviews and one website review, yours is the only one that demonstrate using this light with an umbrella. For me, the umbrella works well enough. For now, I'll hold up buying the lantern/the softbox.
Thanks so much Mauriciolee! So glad this vid helped you out and thanks for the umbrella shout out. I loved that these lights had a place made for them, looks super clean that way. Good luck with your lighting decision and thanks for the awesome comment!
super helpful to see this real time, your reaction to the gear, adjusting the settings and side by side. i hope the 97% of your viewers finally hit that subscribe button. don’t be stingy, peeps! spread that youtube love ❤
LOL! Thanks so much J, I appreciate that. Little by little we are getting there. Glad you liked the vid, going to try this new format a little more, move around and break out of the studio more often. Thanks so much for the comment and support, you rock!
Hey David! Thanks so much man, I really appreciate this comment. You are bringing the inspiration over here! Going to start breaking away from the studio vibe a bit, enjoyed doing this one, really glad you did to. Hope your weekend is going well and thanks again, you rock!
Thanks so much Steve! lol I know I took my time getting into lighting, lucky times now with the Amaran/Aputure and Zhiyun lights available. Much more affordable. Good luck with your lighting setup and thanks for the awesome comment! ✌️
Hello again, just watched this video after you sent it to me on Reddit and I have to say. This is really well done. Definitely going to help me decide on my first key light. Subscribed before the video even started.
Hey there Timothy! So glad the video helped out, I know these choices can be agonizing. Thanks so much for the kind words and subscribing, good luck with your lights!
Thanks for the video. Looks like a great product for any content creator. The lighting and sound quality your videos is always awesome. You clearly know your stuff! Once you get the basics right, everything else falls into place.
Hey hey Martin! Thanks so much for the kind words, I appreciate that! You are right on the basics, cameras love light, and sometimes you need to feed them. Amazed at how small and powerful everything has become(and finally affordable), just getting better and better. Hope your week is starting off well, and thanks for checking out the vid ✌️
I have a gig coming up this Thursday and was thinking of trying to shoot a little vlog type vid. Could be fun and am going to be taking some of these lights to the shoot. Thanks for the push, I will give it a shot! (no pun intended)
I enjoy my Aputure light - but I’m about to check into the COLBOR CL60M COB Video Light - $129 bucks for a super mini that includes the case - take a peek!
I am using the iPad AIR 5 with the Panasonic app in remote shooting mode. I can change a few parameters but mainly just a nice 11 screen to check focus and make sure we are recording. There are a few other clever ways you can get all brands of cameras into an iPhone/iPad and have them closely out of frame for monitoring. Really helps with the solo filming, so many pitfalls lol.

Always explaining so well and so clear we forget we are being taught something new with reviews… always my fave channel for reviews.

Subbed. Nice review. I can totally relate. Nice lights are the last thing we buy as solo filmmakers.

Here is an older video where at 01:38 I talk about the Panasonic sync app: ua-cam.com/video/p-Cu6KEmAhU/v-deo.html Hope that helps!
