Thank you for posting this! I have the Doyle nut setter tool on my list fir next time Im going there. I think that this is one of the best tools ever invented ... .tho "nutserts" and the tool have been around for decades, Ive never owned one. Its not a tool that will be commonly used every day, but for those certain times, theyre invaluable to have. One thing that has deterred me till now tho, was I was under the imoression that 1/4x20 would be the largest size available. And thamk you for the link for purchase.

I do not even use the wrench. Hand tight is good enough. I am disappointed it does not give a recommended hole size for each mandrel. I ended up measuring the largest diameter for each nut size and added .005-.010 for a clearance hole. Every other source I saw only said make a snug hole. What ever that means to you? If the hole is too large it may not stay in place for long and start spinning. You will be bummed if that happens. Especially in a soft material like Aluminum or plastic. You need to consider the thickness and type of material you are going into as well.

So, you don’t actually need to unscrew the guide itself, just use the notch in wrench to press down the sleeve and unscrew the post.

Are all zision mandrels compatible with the HF Doyle Rivet Nut Setter? Are mandrels standard across the industry for all Rivet Nut Setter tools?

Reputable riv nut manufacturers specify required hole size. They're all not made the same.
Sorry you're probably talking about the ones included in the kit I'm assuming. Yea I agree with you there

Yes.
How thick of metal can you use the riv nits on?
The manufacturer of the riv nuts calls that out. For example the riv nuts in the video have a clamp range from .020" to .150"
Don't tighten the mandrel. (That last part) that way you don't have to turn the whole tool to unscrew it from the rivet nut.
