~ ABOUT CRYPTA ~
Born in June 2019, CRYPTA is a Brazilian/Dutch Death Metal fourpiece, influenced by the old school sub-genres of the style.
The band’s lineup include Fernanda Lira (vocals & bass) and Luana Dametto (drums), both ex-members of Brazilian thrash metal band Nervosa, Sonia Anubis (lead guitars) who also plays in Cobra Spell and played formerly in the heavy metal band Burning Witches, and Tainá Bergamaschi (guitars), ex-member of Hagbard.
I have a feeling that Crypta will be big. All of the members are very talented musicians and the song writing is really great. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Tour, Hopefully you will be coming to Canada soon!
I agree Joe, lots of people talking about them and I was shocked to learn that their guitarists are 22, 23 years old!!! Combine that with Luana's drumming and they are going to be big. My only concern would be the vocals, I think it's time to find a full time vocalists and lose some of the high pitched efforts....but that's just me.
@@Bubba-Ho The vocals are the strongest part of the band. Fernanda's death metal gutteral growls and black metal shrieks are a perfect match for their death/black metal fusion. She's also a good bassist which gives the band more credence as they all play instruments. A lone vocalist wouldn't have the same impact as it's been done to death. An all girl band all playing instruments is what sells their music and what made me buy into it. My only concern is losing their guitarist Sonia. I just hope they find someone who can play to her virtuous level which ain't gonna be easy. Hello Courtney Cox and Nita Strauss. There's a vacancy to join the hottest new band in the world right now!

Great album!!!. Shadows Within and Death Arcana for me that is really very good compositions in the album Echoes of the Soul. It's sounded like a melodic black death metal. But i don't know how Crypta named their genre in the album. New line up in Nervosa done great too and i hope someday they have a back to back concerts.

Amazing picking technique, at the first part of the video it looks like she’s using a James Hetfield type grip pointer and middle finger both on the pick and creates almost a tremolo picking tone but towards the neck and it’s made precise sounding than most tremolo picked rhythms and then for the more thrash sounding riffs it’s more of a traditional fanned fingers with only the thumb and forefinger. You know the technique is legit playing at those speeds and doesn’t even look like she’s working. I wonder if it comes naturally or she’s methodical. It’s just interesting because I’m a guitar nerd and she really works the picking technique to change the tone to suit the riff. Every player will naturally develop this to some extent but it looks intentional and specific here. Fantastic guitarist.
