This was a fun trip. Despite not being the wilderness experience I had hoped for, I had a really good time. Congratulations on your new record Great video effort man. On to the next one!
Yeah man it was a great time! Honestly the only things not wilderness like were the constant boats. Other than that the shoreline was great, like you said. I do not feel like it was a big negative though. Truth be told when you grow up where I did, this is Wilderness lol. Yes sir, ready for the next one. Already in the war room plotting!
Nice video ... brings back memories of my 10 day adventure at Stillwater Reservoir in 2010. Everything was quiet and peaceful .. until Hurricane Earl snuck up on me and I was trapped. It felt like the movie Castaway. I have to get back up there .. with an Ocean Kayak. Trout Pond was where I was camped.
Nice trip. I enjoyed your perspective. I used to eat largemouth bass all the time until I ate my first trout 😆 I still eat perch (ice fishing only) and crappie. Smallmouth bass is phenomenal when you smoke it with maple or alder.
Thank you for watching! I appreciate it! I love trout. But I won't shy away from bass now that I have tried it. If I can't nab a trout and I can get a bass well then bass it is lol. I'd like to try Perch. I have not had it yet.
Nice video and quite the adventure! I'm pretty jealous of that hammock-tent of yours! I had my volume turned up all the way in parts and couldn't even understand what you were saying. Then my cat jumped a mile and scratched my legs when all of a sudden the volume came back and it had turned up all the way! Lol! Good call on bailing out with the impending storm.
The hammock setup rocks. After the days of rain I spent in it I'd recommend it to anyone. Total faith in it now. Feel free to check it out on our next outing..
It was a great spot to find after a fairly long paddle that is for sure! Still, plenty of that lake I did not get to see. Might make it back to it someday!
I have used dry ice once and I believe it was on this trip. I put a small amount on the bottom lined with cardboard as suggested. Then the rest of the cooler was filled with a mix of regular ice and ice packs. It worked well. Though I have managed to keep ice for several days using little hacks here and there without dry ice. Using large ice packs or frozen water bottles mixed with cubes and cutting a piece of pink foam for a topper with relectix adds a lot of time to the cooler imo. Most cheaper coolers the lid isn't insulated well
LOL, Justin sitting there watching you eat the pancakes & bacon. I would say he was probably jealous, but I know he cooks/eats well on his trips. Yup, no one likes an angry beaver. Good video, but for some reason the audio seemed low for a lot of it.
Hah. He had his own too. He was just looking at me with disgust. God you're gross lol. Or maybe it was pancake envy! Yeah it is frustrating how the audio turned out. There is no explanation for it. I've checked everything and it doesn't usually happen :( . If I try to redo the video I'll lose the small amount of traffic I have.
@@projectknifehand No need to redo the video. Audio is there, just low. I know it's not like your other videos. I still enjoyed it. Maybe the look of disgust was for using pancake syrup instead of real maple syrup. LOL.
@@bnatural2 lol yeah you might be right. Lots of those you don't eat bass folks kicking around though. I have to say it was great and I would easily do it again. And honestly if I were in a place where bass were a regular, probably on purpose.

Yeah I need to get back in the area as well. I truly enjoyed it. I was surprised to see that wilderness in the state.
The duck was awesome. I always enjoy being out in a storm with the right rain fly. I would take the rain over the mosquitos any day.
"Are you a party duck?" Favorite moment for me too lol

Perch and walleye are first cousins lol
They can both get eaten lol. I've never caught a walleye. It's on my list!
@@alanbierhoff6831 Perch is amazing
Someone caught one and didn't share...
Damn, that was some storm! That'll make you feel alive. Five days is a long time to stay out there. Well done!
Thanks! Yeah it was a good time. I wish I did a better job capturing the rain visually but the camera wasn't having it in the dark.

We camped the western tip of joe Indian island in 2019 it was amazing

Great video. Always had a great time camping on Cranberry. What was the site number where you stayed on Joe Indian Island?
Thank you and thanks for watching! To be honest I am not 100 percent sure. I'd have to look at the map and try to figure it out! I'll see if I can
Curious if you are using dry ice in that cooler or just regular ice.

Thank you!
Don't let the bass fishermen see this video. lol
Don't care. Was damn good!
🤣
I think there are very few bass fisherman that would take issue with that choice you made:)@@projectknifehand

many lakes would benefit from a little culling. I was a kid the last time I ate bass. I thought it was good too! @@projectknifehand
