We had a nearly 80 year old lady who used to start at the front of our very busy parkrun every week. Rather than get annoyed with her or tell her to move, the regulars used to make an arch over her head with our arms to ensure she could be seen and wasn't mown down. She stopped running at 80 but now volunteers every week.
Awesome stuff. How many days a week do you run and how many Km do you do a week on average. I manage around 15k a week and am a 23 or 24 min runner for the parkrun
Great times 😁 I run quite a bit. I usually run 5 days a week and I've been doing about 70km a week for the last few weeks. A usual week of running is like this: Monday: 7.5km fast (plus warm up and cool down) Wednesday: Long run at an easier pace, my average HR is usually in the high 130s to low 140s for this run. I've been very slowly increasing it every week, usually by less than 1km, so this week I ran 17.37 on my long run. Thursday: 11km at a moderate pace, trying to keep a pretty steady pace just for fun (plus warmup) Saturday: 5km fast at parkrun, plus warmup and usually running back to accompany friends to the finish line or running home from parkrun if I'm at my local event Sunday: 18-19km. I do about 8km as a progression run, starting very slowly and building up to a moderate pace. The other 10-11km is a VERY gentle pace. This isn't based on a particular training plan or anything like that. It's just how my running pattern happened to develop over the last few years. It feels like a lot of info for a comment though so I might make a video about this to better explain it. Thanks for watching this one 😊
Sighing at the Dog and Pram starting at the front, just move to the back and accept the slight delay.

idt it's worth holding parkrun to race standards, go to a real race to complain about the seeding 🤥👍
It's a great course Edinburgh (depending on the wind). Got my Parkrun PB there
Well done Sam, great effort ! 👍
Thank you! 😊

@@Sam.Barclay Wow, 70k is alot of running a week. And it seems to be making you go faster so thats great. 23.53 this week for me at parkrun.
"Just be weird. Nobody else cares." Excellent advice for filming and for life! 😄
Definitely 😆
