Oh how interesting, thank you. We couldn’t remember whether it’s the ‘o’ or ‘a’ for Australians. It feels like everyone we’ve spoken to pronounces them differently! 😅 And thank you so much, Hobart is incredible! 💙
That waterfront is awesome at the end and after the Sydney to Hobart. The Hobart botanical gardens is one of my favs..When Mt Wellington is clear it never fails to impress. Another wonderful episode ❤
Great video guys, I've bookmarked the places highlighted in your videos when I visit Tasmania in a couple of months. Just to point out @12:58 the date of the the Tasman Bridge collapse was a bit off, it was in 1975.
Thank you, so glad you found the video helpful! How long will you be visiting for? And thank you, that’s one of the dates we saw in passing awhile back and forgot to write down! 😅
There is a sculpture at Montagu Bay (not far from the Rosny Hill lookout) that shows the part of the bridge that collapsed. And even now, when a large ship goes under the bridge, they stop any traffic from going over the bridge until the ship is well clear of it.
….and yep, the Bonorong was just great…my highlight, seeing two beautiful Tiger Snakes….great feeding the Roos, did the same at the Moonlit Sanctuary down the Mornington Peninsula on the mainland in Victoria, at night….wow….it was incredible…..I just love Australia, cannot wait to return again…cheers guys.
lovely video guys! have you been to New Zealand? we'd love you over here, so respectful to the land! y'all have the sweetest personalities, so refreshing!
We’ve never been to New Zealand but it’s definitely VERY high up on our list of spots we want to go to. Looks so so beautiful over there! 💙 And thank you so much, you’re too kind!
Hey Wehan, your tee shirt has the same name as the capital of my island…..really looking forward to our stay in Hobart….got a number of big full day trips out from there, north, south, east and west……brilliant videos guys x
Oh …such memories from last week….had a wonderful view from top of Mt Wellington….bit blowy though, half way down had a little trek, saw some amazing Funnel Web spider dens and a large Jack Jumper ants…..amazing…..oh how we enjoyed Hobart, had fun on a racing yacht…did walks in the SW…..almost alone, bar millions of animals all hiding from us…..what a holiday….will return to do the north in 2027…..x
The reason that most major towns across Australia have a Japanese garden is because of the war. The Japanese apologised for their treatment of Australians in the war by building friendship and sanctuary via peaceful gardens.
Hi guys we just found your channel. Your filming and editing is sooo good 👍. We are heading to Tassie in November and just wondering what’s the go with filming there . Can you can’t you ? Do you need a permit? If so how much ? Or is it all a load of crap ? You have a channel too and would love to film it but not sure of the rules. Cheers Dave and Nik 🇦🇺🍻👍
Hi Dave and Nik! Thank you so much, glad you're enjoying the videos. How exciting, you'll love your time in Tassie, are you over for long? I'd recommend double checking with the councils/locations you intend to film at before you head over but we reached out to City of Hobart before filming and they confirmed we wouldn't need a permit. 😊
You only need a permit to film in a National Park in Tasmania. Which is disgraceful. Tas Parks and Wildlife do not even have a 'small production' permit which means you have to have the same permit as a commercial film if you want to film in a national park. This rules out Cradle Mountain, Freycinet and any other place that is deemed 'controlled by Parks'. Tas Parks and Wildlife really need to move into the 20th century and overhaul their filming permit structures.
@@TrekkerPaul Rubbish. The only restrictions are on commercial operations like film crews etc and that's the same for every Nat Park in Aus. Go to a Nat Park and just about every single person will be taking photos and videos. You really think park rangers are going to be chasing some UA-camrs with a selfie stick? lol.
@@shegocrazy yes, they are. Please see the videos of Tasmanian UA-camr Rob Parsons. He monetised his channel and was taken to court due to profiting on NATIONAL Park lands. Rob details the charges and subsequent issues regarding filming in Natuonal Parks or even nature reserves.
Thank you for the video. As someone who has lived in Tassie for two years, I can tell you that the weather is 99% crappy and gloomy, so you were lucky to have some sunshine.
We actually pronounce them with an ‘o’ sound - scollops. Love my city and enjoyed your video.

So happy to hear! 😊 Thanks for watching

As a Tasmanian i can recommend the best thing to do in Hobart is leaving. Go to Launceston or Davenport.
And yes i know i spelt Devonport incorrectly i hate it there too. Launceston also sucks
I might visit during January
Ooh how exciting! Fingers crossed you do get to visit, we’re sure you’d love it🤞
Lovely ❤
When was this (month)?
Thank you 😊 This was filmed in early Dec (the 9th)

Hi Lydia and Wehan. Where did you buy the gluten free doughnuts from please?
Hi! They were from BAKED Gluten Free in Moonah 😊
So how long were you here for?
Our total time in Tassie was just over 6 months 😊

i live in hobart why dont i see this :(
from a hobart local you need towork on your pronounciation of words
The red tailed black cockatoo is not a Tasmanian native.
Yellow tailed here in Tassie. I regularly get 50 of them in my backyard at crack of dawn. Jeez they make a racket and tear up the banksias.

Absolutely BS. If you feel the need to bag out the weather, piss off to whatever state spawned you. Tassie does not need you…
99% crappy and gloomy and you live here for 2 years? I suspect you are trolling because that's absolute BS. ...as we see in this video.
If you don’t like it here, then go home.
1975 was when the bridge collapsed.
