Michael you are just an absolute natural when it comes to communicating clearly and coherently! 10/10 would watch more reviews!
Not to mention the organizational quality of your videos!
I love that this might be the first product review I see where the content is clear in the first couple minutes including a comprehensive summary from tablet name to conclusions. Then if one is interested in every detail possible, you take us through it all. Great review!!!
NOT MUCH OF A DRAWER!!!! Dude those drawings are amazing.
I couldn't agree more! Been testing the thing for a while... Amazing from all angles!
Mike.youre such honest guy. This is full blown review. Many creators recieved this tablet but only you went through such details.
Definitely gonna buy ... It's been decade of me using my bamboo S
"I am not much of a drawer". I feel bad now! :'))
And this changes so much from all those reviewers that tell they are pro but can't draw. Great review!
Dude. Thank you so much for being the only one going over display settings. I can't believe other people did not introduce that as many of us have displays with different aspect ratios
I bought the Quick Keys and did a general search for help using it. Your video popped up. Ironically I have never seen your face but recognized your voice because you are my favorite ZBrush instructor! So random. I am xencelabs Quick Keys using it with a Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro. So far, so good kind of. I'm still getting used to it but videos like this help.
Great review! and I didnt know you kicked ass in 2D as well. Awesome drawings!
The Problem with quick keys on the tablet, at the end of the day, no one uses it. At least no one who works with zbrush. I have several Tablets from Huion, XP-pen and one from Gaomon. The Gaomon has additionally to the 12 hard keys, also 16 Soft keys on the input areas. I thought it was a nice idea, but on the practical side, it was nothing what beats my normal keyboard in speed and smoothness. I think, maybe if someone never used a keyboard, and start with, only using the hotkeys, this may be different.
What looks nice at xencelab, the software seems very clean and easy to setup profiles, even it's obvious that they use the same framework as Huion and Gaomon. I guess it's the same company who does the software. Anyway. Thank you Michael for the review. Good to see such reviews from professional perspective.
I've had quite a few Wacoms over the years, from large Intuous 5 to Cintique, but I always found myself coming back to the Intuous 4 Small, which I've been on for about 10 years. I would take a lot to pull me away from the Intuous 4 Small, even though I'm on a 4K screen, I love it. 😁
I use a Mac and Xence experience despite amazing build quality and fairly robust customisation features - has been a bit of bumpy road. When it works - it alleviates MacOS' woeful multiple screen management but the connectivity and really buggy software is making it kind of impossible to rely on. Every time I plug in in the morning or turn the macbook on, I don't know whether I will spend the next 30 minutes cursing at the screen over my coffee or not. The guys from Customer Service have been super attentive and gave me access to their betas on the regular but... this is what it feels like, I am beta testing a product I paid a lot of money for. Really hard to recommend for me at the stage the product is despite really really wanting it to be better cause the ingredients are there.
Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend 🎨😁👍
Looks like some serious competetion for wacom :D Btw we miss your streams !
I use this gadget in combination with a 3DConnexion CADMouse & SpaceMouse. It´s awesome.
Excellent tutorial. Would love some more in-depth but sloewr paced steps on using in Photoshop, for photographyediting only,
I dont use any keys on tablet, I really like how the tablet itself looks like! It might be my next tablet if Wacom ever stops to work :D
Made my mind upgrading my wacom 16
I'm still using my Wacom Bamboo Fun Cte-650 from 2009...
I'm gonna get one of these but maybe I will get a Space mouse instead of Quick keys?
@michael Are you using this tablet regularly? I was considering a display tablet like Huion Kamvas 24 (Plus or 4K) but I haven’t been an avid display user and have only used Wacom Intuos Pro. Using applications (ZBrush, Painter, Photoshop).
Link to the making of the Warhammer guy?
Took me 3 months to make a barrel
hey, what are the option available on the pen button setting under "navigation" and "tablet" ? does it have like wacom dynamic scroll option?
Navigation has Back, Forward, Scroll Up, Scroll Down, Zoom In, Zoom Out, Switch Application, Show Desktop, Windows Key, Switch Virtual Desktop Right, Switch Virtual Desktop Left, Snap Window Right, Snap Window Left, and Tumble.
Tablet has Precision Mode..., Switch Display, Pressure Hold, Launch Settings, Adjust Pressure, Mouse/Pen Mode Toggle, and Windows Ink Toggle. I never used dynamic scroll with Wacom (or know what it does) so I'm not certain if there's anything in there that would do the trick
@@MichaelPavlovich thank u so much. Ur video is awesome
Putting the buttons and power cable in the center of the tablet is a very bad idea, and if the buttons can be ignored, I never use them, then the cable in the center is what makes it impossible to buy this tablet. I hope in the next version they will make the cable on the right, this is the most convenient way for most, so the cable does not interfere with the keyboard, which is either centered in front of the tablet or on the left.
There's a wireless dongle, but I agree, having the cable port centred is ridiculous. Buttons in the centre is equally ridiculous.
@@musashidanmcgrath Buttons on a graphics tablet are generally useless, it is better to get rid of them in principle. The wireless mode is great, I use it now on the old Intuos 5. The Xencelabs problem is that if I put the tablet on charge and I need to work at the same time, the cable in the center will interfere with my keyboard, which lies in front of the tablet, I don’t have this problem when working with a wacom tablet.
@@guyfox2369 well, I'm left handed and right hand mouse user so the Wacom buttons set to ctrl alt shift are essential for working in Zbrush. I also use the ring as the brush resizer. Yes, the wire in the middle obviously wasn't thought out at all, for exactly the reason you pointed to(keyboard)
I put my keyboard over the cable.
Anyone here finds quick key a game changer for sculpting? I know theres a learning curves but is worth it?
its all about the money
Boooo...They'll have to first pry my Wii controller from my cold dead hands. 😛
I just started using a PS Nav Controller for hotkeys in my left hand, I don't see myself ever going back to doing finger gymnastics on the Keyboard.
Anti Micro & SCP Toolkit is what got me up and running.
Any which way, having a controller for your hotkey hand is a game changer!
@@blakeXYZ right! That's what Blender is for. 😆
What keyboard do you use? ua-cam.com/video/70VM2DqcNeA/v-deo.html
that's the "Azio Large Print Keyboard"
