Every frame is a perfect wildlife painting! So much beauty! And someone mentioned the sound of the waves - musical! A real work of art in every sense.

Amazing!!!! More than a one note video! Thank you for sharing this with us. My first time camping in the Olympic National Forest of WA this summer and I am loving it. I am too old to do what you have done, but I so appreciate seeing what is out there. Beautiful! Thanks again.

You’re a hiking MACHINE BRO! I envy your journeys. I hope by next spring I’ll be out there in my Transit doing the same thing.

I was looking up images and videos of Rialto Beach and... WOW! You and I look SO much alike. You're like my wilderness twin. 😁

Actually, I think every path should be taken four times, like while going one way the first time you learn, and coming back you see the other way of that path. The second time you go, you practise what has been learned and that is enjoyable... And again you come back, practise again what you learned from the return path. By this, you don't have to take so many different paths, at least! :)

My idea about math! I always thought that if I could take algebra and geometry twice I would get them!! Interesting comment!

When I hiked the coast with my brother we got lucky with the low tide and could go through the Hole in the Wall twice...out and back.

These two videos ( next one incl.) are other-worldly gorgeous! Your ability to capture nature and more importantly , interact with it in such a personal way so that the viewer feels what you feel brings your work to the level of art.

I used to portion lentils, rice, dehydrated veggies (onion, celery), spices and a bouillon cube into baggies; each morning put one baggie's contents into a watertight container, add the water, then put it in my pack. By dinnertime it had rehydrated and needed little more than heating.
I once planned a shoreline "there and back" that proved way too much for me. At the furthest point was a tourist attraction, an old stone fort, where I knew there would be a parking lot and people. I left the shore and went to the fort where in the parking lot I spied a family with a large minivan about to leave the area. They were happy to give me a lift back to my starting point (it was right along the route they had to travel).

The terrain is amazing and I love to hear the waves hitting the shore, so calming. That was a lot of miles in such a short time, good for you. Stay Safe.

Great spot! Would be happy to have you mention the temperatures including overnight near the water... Def. a bad place to roll an ankle, hope the boots are laced tight. I circled Olympus last fall, with clear skies for viewing. Surprised you don't carry a lifestraw.

I love this!! I'm headed to the Pacific Northwest this week. This area is definitely on the list now. This is one of your best videos. And definitely not a one note. Great job and thanks so much for sharing.

Outstanding video! I decided to an out-n-back hke last year (April 2021), but starting from Ozette rather than Rialto. By the time I got to Rialto, I decided to see if I could hitch a ride back to Ozette (I was successful!). I heartily endorse the opinion that this is a fantastic one-way hike, and a death-march as an out-n-back.

Are there any real steep parts to the trail?
This looks like a brilliant idea for a hike but I'm a light weight when it comes to narrow trails and drop offs.

Definitely some sketchy stuff on this one!! There are points that you have to climb down a cliff with a rope assist! And up for that matter. However, there are good day hikes on either end of this that don’t require sketchy climbing. Just skip the middle part! Haha.

      Hey Tobyln!!!!
Great video. My wife and I have been making an annual trek out to the Olympic Coast since 1998. We've seen a MASSIVE influx of people out to Sand Point/Cape Alava in the last 6-8 years. We used to be able to go out there for a week and see MAYBE 8-10 people the whole time. Now it's a constant flow. Gotta watch out for dog crap on the beach now too.😡!!!!!
It is way better the futher south you go from Sand Point, the way you came. Your lucky it wasn't PISSING rain and windy. In the early summer it can get pretty nasty but later in the season its usually foggy/misty in the morning. That's actually just the "marine layer." It usually starts burning off around noon and by 2 or 3 clear sunny and gearing up for epic sunsets. Also lots of black bears and cougars out there. We've seen several of both over the years. And camping on the beach you just have to make sure it's not a high tide of 10' or more. My daughter and I learned that the hard way one year. Tide came up around our tent at 230 in the morning and run us off the beach. Had to hastily move to a camp spot up on the bank while being swarmed by sand fleas. Sand fleas were so bad and thick, because of the rising tide, that if you opened your mouth to say something they would fly into your mouth. All in all that place is an epic hike in Washington state.
Cheers! And stay safe on your travels.
