I love seeing how other people wrap and package trees for transport. I have probably sent over a hundred trees in the past 5 years and still haven't quite perfected it. I have had enough with peanuts so was interested to see how you overcame the issue of keeping the tree in place. A great and easy solution. These days packing costs so much I have practically given up on selling away from my backgarden nursery. The only difference is I like to pack sphagnum moss into the top layer of soil before sealing it up :)
Great video Jelle If I said I absolutely love your tall dead wood juniper and how amazing it is. Would you put it in the post for me please 🙏 😂😂 Don’t worry I know the answer 😂😂 👍👍👍
@GrowingBonsai I made a bunch of forests. Gave many away to friends. I did lose a bunch as they are still in their original cups, some to bugs, some due to overwinter??? I have some that have never been outside or dormant doing well, so I am uncertain if the dormant period was the cause. I still have probably 60 or 70 of them. Maybe more... I haven't counted. All of them are outside this season. I will be tackling them, trimming, repotting etc.
Securely & nicely done.... but for one suggestion....better if you will fill-up with crumpled plastic or crumpled paper the top of the pot before taping it and wrap it with plastic. In this way the soil will not stick on the tape.

Thanks for your tips Jelle, it’s very encouraging for beginners like me to have a go, as posting a bonsai is quite scary!! :)
Best of luck! It IS nerve wrecking and I really do not like trusting the mail to transport trees..
I definitely thought about shipping some of my pomegranates when I still had a billion of them! Great tutorial Jelle!!
Right?! What did you do instead?
