Harts Fabric in Santa Cruz, CA is wonderful. They have a very comprehensive collection of a wide variety of fabric-fashion, upholstery, quilting, etc. Their staff is helpful, and they are family owned and operated since 1969!
Guthrie and Ghani is a great online fabric shop in Birmingham, UK. Lauren has beautiful fabrics and also runs a great instagram live on Monday evenings which she also posts on You tube. Minerva is also a UK based fabric store. They have an incredible range of fabrics and recently added a ‘core’ range of their own fabrics in different substrates. Very good value and they have a craft club membership that gives you a discount. Diana
I am lucky enough to live near by to miss maude, the store is so fabulous and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable ❤ I work near The Fabric Store and love seeing their brand of patterns made up so you can see how look finished in person 😍🥰

They have beautiful linen, deadstock & designer, knits & lovely seasonal fabrics with great customer service. I live in Chicago, so I'm off to watch the video on your US based fabric stores!
Here in the US, I would love to buy from UK shops, but the shipping I’d exorbitant! The only UK shop I have seen with reasonable shipping is Minerva They have great fabric from Minerva exclusives to designer fabrics to deadstock. I would love to know about other shops where the postage isn’t more than the fabric.
I agree about Blackbird. I have asked questions to them regarding using certain fabrics with a certain pattern. They have been very helpful in picking appropriate fabrics.
New Craft House in London, UK is also great for deadstock fabrics. I've bought from there a few times and if you're in London the shop is open to the public at different times. They even have different events and classes throughout the year.
