      I wished they realized more that baby doesn't stay a baby forever but they turn into grown adults one day. When they were talking about considering next children it was all about babies with zero consideration that they're people that will go through all life stages... and that's kinda understandable because they're barely adults themselves. I think they should gain more perspective before they say they want 4-7 "children". So many people get neglected by their parents and other family members once they're not little pink babies anymore - including myself.

    About that first girl talking about how she was going to write a suicide note and such, what she said is correct except for also, when you have that kind of depression where you feel depleted, caring for a being that doesn't know any better in a way actually helps fill you up, because that act of kindness for someone else also feeds for you. I remember I went through the same thing when I was 13, and we happen to rescue a kitten by the dumpsters. She changed my life

    11:25 I... hate that statement. Don't have babies if you cannot accept they're not gonna be babies forever. I can't fathom that one's heart breaks once someone gets older - they are still the same person so what's the problem! I was really hurt by my parents with their constant comments how they wished I was forever small and pink, how I am "not cute anymore" and they were saying it for years while the baby stage lasts only a couple of months! That's insane! People who reproduce because of the "baby fever" are the worst and should NEVER have babies. They just cannot appreciate a person for their entirety of existence while they are the ones who brought that existence to be. I'm lost of words because that's literally my life.

    • @AlleenLoveHope
      @AlleenLoveHope 2 роки тому +19

      Agreed. It seems kinda narcissistic for parents to be disappointed when their children become old enough to have their own thoughts and opinions. Children are people, not dolls for you to dress up. Wanting them to be just like you rather than the individuals that they are is gross imo.

    • @soggycardboard1393
      @soggycardboard1393 2 роки тому +6

      You are definitely reading into what she said. Having children puts life into perspective and makes you realise how fast the time goes, parents wanting their kids to stay little forever doesn't make them narssisitic...They just want to hold on for as long as possible becuase they love them. That doesn't mean she is going to become one of those super weird parents who is attached to their 30y/o child by the hip..

    I find it crazy that’s the one girl said “no one ever tells you the costs of children”. Everyone tells you this. In fact, I thought everyone knew this. This is one of the reasons people tell you plan a family and not be a teen mom. Her saying this baffles me, but maybe we just aren’t saying this enough in education. We focus too much on “don’t do it” but never give the reasons why you shouldn’t do it and what might happen THOROUGHLY - and again, safe sex. Also pick your sex partners carefully.

      Very true

    • @hunnitbaehunnitbae8804
      @hunnitbaehunnitbae8804 2 роки тому +76

      maybe she just meant that no one ever FULLY tells us the costs of children? just like with sex education, as you said, all anyone ever talks about is the "do not" and not the "why not" - maybe that mom just meant that yes, although people talk about how expensive it is to have children, people don't talk about WHY it's expensive. apart from the obvious factors like food and shelter (which i'm sure that mother was aware of), there's also education, birthdays, electronics, medicine and vitamins, et cetera and these all also add up as the child grows older

    • @KhoPhi
      @KhoPhi 2 роки тому +18

      I think people who say that don't say so because nobody actually never "told them" or they "never heard"
      Like they say, "experience is the best teacher", so until they're in it, it usually doesn't actually impress on them how expensive.
      If you're single, no kids and parents are ranting how expensive it is to raise kids, it's super tempting for one to easily think of such parents as overreacting or overestimating and "blowing things outta proportion"
      It always only fully makes sense AFTER one starts raising a kid, and then the realization kicks in.

    • @TheNinjapancake14
      @TheNinjapancake14 2 роки тому +14

      Unfortunately, not everyone knows this. Random people aren't out here educating the kids who have parents that shy away from the sex talk, or go to schools with no sex education. The kids in those situations who might read comments like yours are just lucky

    • @azul7401
      @azul7401 2 роки тому +26

      I’m gonna have to disagree with this. It definitely is not told as much. I know for a fact outside of the US, it is not. But even in the US, sex education mainly consist of letting you know how a pregnancy happens or how to avoid pregnancy but they never go further than that. As a 21 year old, I learned how expensive formula is from a tweet of a young mom. Yes, it is told that a child is expensive but not realistically why.
