I have a titamium Esker Hayduke and it is amazing! I love how this frame feels and the geometry is in the perfect sweet spot and not overly long and slack like so many bikes these days. Long and slack is not a good way to have an all around bike, it's essentially only good for steep downhill at high speeds.
Agreed. Long and slack may be great for downhill, straight-line, high speed performance, but the usefulness ends there. There’s so much more to mountain biking! I have an Esker Japhy (sadly, not Ti), and its geo and feel would be very similar to your Hayduke, in that sweet spot. I’m guessing the Ti version of the Japhy is super: just lighter and maybe a little firmer than the 4130 version.
Neuhaus Metal Works Hummingbird Ti shoulder be in the mix here. Properly built, I don’t believe there’s an equal. Not to distract from the just-right feel, Neuhaus’ sizing scheme tells part of the story of thoughtfulness: there is a dedicated geometry for each inch of rider height from 5’2” through 6’5”, making for 16 sizes to choose from. If you’re one of those folks who has had to settle for a bike that was ‘near enough’ and found it wanting, here’s your answer. Not cheap, but when you enter the realm of titanium budget is pretty much out the window anyway.
@@bikeradar welding is difficult with ti. The oxygen levels have to be monitored else it overheats. I think that’s what makes the frames prone to weld cracking
Hard to miss Litespeed when you talk about Lynskey, given it was Lynskey that started (and later sold) Litespeed, before starting up their eponymous brand.
Just a heads up, the Revel Tirade is on sale for 1499.40. I picked up a size medium, they have all sizes available. In my opinion you can't beat this price for a ti frame.
I have myself a Lynskey GR300 and it's the best bike I have ridden, will not ride anything else on the road or gravel. I could get a full mtn bike I would.

forgot about the Stanton Switch9er!
Very nice bike and we're glad to see brand back up and running after its struggles!

What an amazing machine! And those additive-manufactured seatstay yokes are a thing of beauty!

For a hardtail ti is great. Lightweight, no rust, supple ride, hard to scratch,
Its a lovely material! Not easy to work with, or cheap and can be prone to cracking at the welds, but little else will do it for some people!

They make some lovely bikes, but as said, the Lynskey family started the brand before going their own way.
Can't go wrong with either!
Cool, would have loved to see Nordest Bardino 3.5 here.

Esker Japhy should definitely have made this list
The Japhy looks an ace bike! It was a toss up between this and the Revel to which we would include

Oh yes Titanium... the worst of both worlds ;)
Its not perfect, but it is very shiny and that's worth it alone for some!
