God bless Mr Asante. He gave me my first job when I started in healthcare at Beth Israel Medical Center. He saw me once and knowing that I went to Mfantsipim he liked and believed in me. On his advice I also completed my MBA and now in healthcare management as well.
I am happy to hear that Mr. Asante gave you the opportunity to start your career in healthcare at Beth Israel Medical Center. Mr. Asante, I would like to connect with via email if you don’t mind sharing your email address with me. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Mr. Asante, I am driving all the way from Connecticut to eat from your restaurant and connect with you. Let’s all support Ghanaian businesses. See you soon Sir 😊
Ed is such a wonderful, kind and inspirational person who will always guide you through your journey. Upon graduation as a new Technologist from Radiology, he gave me my first job in 1990 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NY. He was my special advisor and everyone in the Radiology Dept. loved him. He used his supervisory skills to make the Department one of the best in NYC. Congratulations on your new establishment and wish you long life and many success.❤❤
James, thank you for your invaluable contributions and for being part of my journey at Columbia Presbyterian hospital. Your legacy at the radiology department will not be forgotten.
This interview shows that anyone who says America is overhyped is seriously delusional or just mad. America is not overhyped. There are opportunities for everyone.
Ed, more grease to your elbows😊 Kudos. I have been in the same shoe. I left working for the “people” (corporate world as a software engineer) since 2007. Now retired but working on my own since then. I am in Texas but hope to visit your restaurant when I am in your neck of the wood. I used to live in Massachusetts & familiar with the area. We have to develop the mindset to be our own boss. It’s not easy but achievable. I always turn down jobs if the price is not right. ❤✌🏿

Great man, he’s really lived a fulfilled life. Whatever one sets his mind on, he can accomplish no matter where he finds himself. I’ve enjoyed this interview
This is hands down the most insightful interview I’ve seen on this channel. Hearing success stories like this from our own community is inspiring. Excellent work, Mr. Asante. I’ve been in America for 14 years and in the corporate world for about 7 as an Engineering Program Manager, so I fully can relate to the challenges he spoke about. I don’t have my own business because of all the headaches that comes with it but I’ve made ridiculous amount of money through the stock market. Nvidia alone pushed me to the millionaire status 3yrs ago. Never stop investing. Invest invest invest, less headache than owning a business
I haven't met Mr Asante in 50 years but I laughed a lot when he mentioned having just one shoe. Mr. Asante was gifted with humility and patience. Take it from me. In our young days in Ghana, Mr. Asante was one of the best dressed Gentlemen in Ghana🎉
He is so humble with all his achievements. I went there around last year. I am in PA but drove all the way there to try the food and support with my family. I still have pictures. Well done Mr Asante👏👏👏👏
I am so proud of this man Mr Asante,40 years with experience and can do spirit in the states. Yes,that is a proud Ghanaian, doing his best with the opportunity he had and still can speak the local language after a long years . Such a resilient, dedicated and a well planned person to learn from always, kudos Daddy. Dj NYAAMI thanks for this great interview 🎉🎉
Indeed, abroad is for hustlers. It is through hustling that people gain skills from experience and competencies. That is what most graduates in Ghana fail to do. They fail to do internship and voluntary works. Always looking for money first.
These kinda people ever put camera on them to insult Ghana. They don’t talk rubbish.Only the foolish poor people in America put cameras on them insulting Ghana and the leaders talking too much
Ghana is full of useless politicians. They have therefore rendered the country useless in so many aspects . I came to Ghana to work at Ridge Hospital and I saw so many foolish things…No respect and care for patients.
When generational blessing is your lineage u will be as successful... What u marry and the lineage of your parents is a BIG determinant of one's life journey or destiny
Agree 100%. Mine started from my grandmother (on my mother’s side). My grandmother was an “illiterate” (I hate to use that word) aka did not read or write in any language. Yet she singly handed a legacy of 5 buildings be4 passed away in the early 70s. What did she do? She sold beads (Ahweneɛ) at Kumasi Central market & invested in properties (buildings). We all, generations after her are beneficiaries. I hope to do my part too.
DJ some of the Ghanaian sellers want to make profit overnight. The same products are sold at affordable prices by the Asian people. We're talking about hard earned currency here...
Mr Edward Asante is an amazing man who loves all. He has supported myself and many others and for this we will forever be grateful to this Great Ghanaian Man. Kindly patronize Asante’s restaurant and Ed’s Market whenever you are in Teaneck,New Jersey 🇬🇭🌍🫶🏾
In the 70's and 80's, we had Dangote's caliber of richmen in Ghana but military uprising caused their exile with some having their businesses collapsed and assets confiscated!
Ed didn't do his homework well when it comes to the Jewish population you must be very strategic opening up a kosher bagel store which caters to the Jewish population he should have hired Jewish workers in addition to Black workers many Jewish consumers are very particular about Kosher foods and tend to think that other nationalities are not as verse when it comes to their culture as far as it pertains to Kosher foods

Great interview. On the issue of if his wife was a Ghanaian, the marriage would have collapsed. I don’t entirely agree. You know, kudos to this man himself. Some men get money and start to think one woman is not enough for them. This man became focused and his wife never had to worry that her husband might be living immorally etc. He built this ‘wealthy empire’ with his wife and they have supported each other. That’s how it should be. So I will applaud him for being a level headed man. And applaud his wife for holding on well to such a man. They are both amazing.❤
They would’ve been divorced. That’s the fact. On the point of another man would’ve sought a second woman after the success, another woman would’ve also divorced for half of the man’s fortune.
@@tomofosu4081 you and I also know a typical Ghanaian man getting money and treating his wife like trash. I still maintain that they are both amazing and to each other.
