KENWOOD TR-751 repair & restoration.

Repair and restoration of an old Kenwood TR-751 VHF all mode radio. Radio came in unworking condition. I had to diagnose, repair and make some restoration job. This film shows that even without measurement equipment we can do some basic tests and find problems with radio. Unconventional approach to diagnose method. Were you able to fix the encoder that skips frequencies?

Yes, just need to disassembly encoder and clean it with isopropyle alcohol. That's all and it works great after cleaning.
