Very unique video! Surprised to hear the PHEV is a much better drive on twisty roads! 100% agree that body color matched trim is a must have... almost a deal braker for the PHEV here in USA

Lincoln Nautilus review👌was the first video of yours that i had ever come across, which was impressive, to say the least. Equally great effort on this initial preview of this Mazda as well, though the cam could've done with a better stabilisation gimbal.
PS: Would be interesting to add a tractibility segment, where you could demonstrate the lowest speeds the vehicle could go in its higher gears (fuel efficiency perspective).

Man I really wish I had this car. The 70 or 90 IDC. They are so freaking nice! Unfortunately, I had to over pay for a cx-9 (which I still enjoy and don't plan on getting rid of) during the height of the chip shortage after my Volvo was totaled. Would have loved to hop in this car!

If I am spending that kind of money on an SUV I want color matched trim, not flat black plastic. If I went with the PHEV I'd have to go with black to hide better hide that flat black plastic trim.
Also I know everyone seems to be real excited about the red interior but I have never really loved red interiors; I think the terra cotta creates a much nicer interior environment. 🤷♂

I always love white cars. If it had the color matched white it'd be better. The black with the pearl effect does look outstanding though
I own a White CX-90 PHEV, and in white I prefer the cladding.

cx-70 is 2row and bigger for a lot then x3/glc/q5 and smaller then x5 and etc
and cx-90 is 3row like x7/gls/xc90 but still smaller then some American 3row ones
@@bohdantkachuk8295 The CX-5/CX-50 would be closer to an X3/Q5. Mazda says the CX-70 competes against the X5, Lexus RX, Acura MDX, Mercedes GLE and Jeep Grand Cherokee - it's ever so slightly bigger than an X5 actually.
The black with red interior does look pretty sleek on these.
The door handles are also different. The CX70 has black handles. Also the black looks good with the glossy trim (only on the Turbo S premium plus - sigh) vs the matte black

Mazda is quickly becoming the brand to beat BMW with each generation. Now they just need to work on that sport coupe, sounds like they have the engine and tech, and they look amazing, they do need to ditch that black cladding though.

Hopefully when they finally discontinue the CX-5 they’ll bring over the 60.
The CX-60 is the size of the CX-50. That’s why it wouldn’t work in the US & Canada. No one would pay more for CX-50 baby size in a more expensive package.
@@bigdlife86 X3 and Q5 are best sellers for BMW and Audi. C-70 way to big.. Its bigger then a X5.
@@albertcamus5970 The X5 is too cramped for many. The Grand Cherokee 2 row is most comparable and a size people love, but this has more cargo space. It’ll be fine. You can’t have 3 mini baby crossovers and an X3 & Q5 are CX-5 baby size.
You guys should start doing long-term tests and/or long drives. You’re too entertaining not to😊
I picked up a used CX5 recently, and while I was at the dealership through the buying process (multiple days) I saw several CX90's coming in with weird electrical issues and other somewhat alarming problems (car wouldn't start etc). Saw at least 3 in my couple of hours there, so i'd stay away for at least a year while Mazda works out the kinks.
I also find this car pointless, unless this hits some sort of price point that makes a difference, i'd just get a 90.

The cx90 and cx70 are new, no proven track record yet.
Got my lady a cx5 carbon turbo because they've been around a long time. 👍
The plug in hybrid is definitely better, whether it’s throttle response, weight balance, or of course fuel consumption.

Here in Oakville Ontario Canada I had to put down a deposit for the mazda CX70 but ended up in the mitsubishi outlander phev without a deposit I walked into my dealership without waiting ciao thanks for the presentation

Yeah you can get it on both.
The no touch screen just be a deal breaker man. Love this car tho
95% of the time you’re in Apple CarPlay (which is touch screen) so no biggie. Plus when going over bumpy roads, the dial is easier to use anyway.
Mazda should come with big screens

It's a CX-90 without a third row - could have easily been a trim for the CX-90 considering their price point for this, isn't far off from a CX-90.
If u put it in offroad mode , it will do a faster 0-60 fyi

usually your video are full with beautiful thing to see, good video angle, but this post were really full with shaking everywhere + not relax + sometimes got word in middle, really dizzy. who’s the editor for this post..?..luckily its a post about mazda, if its about bmw or acura or porsche, i will be angrier.
Same editor/filmer as always (Ian - me) - It can be hard to get everything perfect on press trips when we have a limited time to film.
We'll do our usual style with the CX-70 when we can get one on the press fleet here in Canada. Sorry it wasn't up to par with our usual content.

@@asog88 under floor storage and styling differences, basically. also the 70 has the 12.3" screen across all except the very bottom trim, whereas you have to go uptrim on the CX-90.

The vehicle that took so long to come only to befuddle everybody as to why.... why did it take so long, why is it exactly the same as the 90, why didn't the 60 come, why is it more than the 90? Why would anybody buy this? And now Europe gets a CX80 which should be the CX70 as well.
